Lets all keep asking for anti-biotics every time we get the sniffles, that always helps with the problem.

Could anyone blame LeCharles if he doesn't quite trust the Clinic?

lamp....Nope, I sure don't blame Bentley for seeking a second opinion, especially given the rash of staph infections suffered by various Browns players who had treatment at the Cleveland Clinic.

Let's take a look at the record...all of the following suffered staph infections.

...Ben Taylor
...Braylon Edwards
...Brian Russell
...Kellen Winslow
...Bentley

That's all I can recall from memory but that would be enough to cause me to find a different place to get my medical treatment (surgeries).

Now that is in no way meant to point the finger at the Cleveland Clinic. But in Bentley's case, anything he could do to eliminate a "possible" source, he chose to do so.

Who could blame Bentley?

When I get sick I ask for painkillers. Ever eaten some percocets when you've got the sniffles---you'll swear you're all better---until you wake up the next day felling worse than before.

mac did you ever come to the thought that the Browns players probably recieved thier most of their post surgical care from the trainers at Berea???? Most of the time (with the exception of Winslow) the hospital stay isnt that long after surgery. Most people given the choice will choose to go home. But they have to come back to the clinic often for ppost surgical care. Now if you were a Browns player living in lets say Westlake (where most of them live) would you want to drive all the way downtown for the Docs at the Clinic or would you go to the Medical staff at Berea around the corner and deal with the docs there for your post surgical care????

I dont blame Bentley for going elsewhere but for people to attack the Clinic when the Browns own Medical Staff is just as involved as the clinic is, is asinine and irresponsible

your wrong... plain and simple

So you are stating that there are NO sub-par doctors at Cleveland Clinic? No matter where you work, or what you do, someone is going to be the worst at their job. Now, the scale of "worst" may differ, but someone is always sub-par whether it be doctor, manager, writer, or football player. That's all I'm saying - maybe "crappy" was a poor choice of words.

And I know nothing about the doctor he saw, he may be great. He had a bad experience, so he took his business somewhere else - exactly what anyone else would have done. That's all I'm saying; I've neven been to the Clinic but I've heard great things about it and it is certainly something the city of Cleveland should be proud of. You just can't satisfy all customers.

RABI...how many surgeries did the trainers in Berea do?

The players I named above all had surgery at the Cleveland Clinic, then developed staph infections. That is a fact...

rabid, maybe you could tell us just how long of a stay in hospital is needed before one gets a staph infection?

I stand by what I said, I refuse to blame Bentley for not trusting the Cleveland Clinic....WOOF...mac
