At least he's not confusing Iraq and Iran under the guise of logic.

Do Saudi Arabia next.

Saudis are no damn better. They are just as bad.

They're far, far, far worse.

I wouldn't exclude the possibility.

Yesterday he tried to argue that Iran was the "world leader in terror" and his reasoning was "because the U.S said so".

40: OK, maaaaybe Saudi Arabia carried out 9/11, but they're our friends, so we should arm them

40, what happended to the whole "we will not bow down to ruthless dictators" thing? We tumbled pretty quickly from "hard stance on ruthless dictators" to "Saudi Arabia is our friend, guys" in a very short amount of time.

The enemy of my enemy is my friend is an ancient proverb which suggests that two opposing parties can or should work together against a common enemy.

Everyone knows what it means, 40.

Saudi Arabia isn't an "opposing party". It's a brutal dictatorship that was responsible for the 9/11 attacks.

Just like what we are seeing with Saudi Arabia and Israel working closely together for the first time as they have a common and dangerous enemy in Iran.

By the way, 40, you never got around to "teaching" us what the worst terror attack caused by Iran was?

I've got #'s 2 and 3 for Saudi Arabia ready to go (#1 was "9/11", in case you forgot)

Looking forward to comparing notes so we can measure who is the bigger state sponsor of terrorism.

Interesting some of the comments on this subject. Now for some truth.

The Iran "deal" was never signed by Iran. This makes it not a deal. If they never signed it, they never meant to keep it.

Obama never put this "deal" up before the senate. This makes it little more than a kiss and a promise from the last president, and it means nothing to any other after him. Obama signed it, but not anyone else in the government.

The Israelis have proven that Iran was not even close to following the "deal". They managed to smuggle a hoard of documents out of Iran, that show, beyond a shadow of a doubt, they had no intention of every following the "deal".

I don't know what everyone is upset about. This was little more than a gentleman's agreement between obama and no one, as no one else signed it.

All of this is wildly untrue, but this part specifically actually made me laugh out loud.

Here is a photo of Obama signing an order that authorized Congress right of refusal to reject the Iran deal (they didn't bother).

I tried to find where you're parroting the whole "Iran didn't sign it/Congress had no say" thing from, but haven't found anything. Did you hear it on AM radio?

Nevermind, I found it. He heard it on yesterday's Rush Limbaugh.

https://www.rushlimbaugh.com/daily/2018/05/11/iranians-never-signed-obamas-deal/amp/

Imagine saying "now for some truth" and then repeating something you heard from the previous day's episode of Rush Limbaugh .

Yeah, when the Reagan administration got caught selling Iran weapons, they tried to trot out "friend of my enemy", but it fell flat since they'd spent so many months trying to pretend they were the world's largest terror state.

Con Diplomacy:

Broke: The middle East is a political hellhole where their is no good alternative and our best bet it to withdrawal from the region.

Woke: In order to control the middle East, we should work with whoever is an adversary to our adversary. Nothing could ever go wrong.

HA!

When that picture with Reagan was taken, Russia controlled Afghanistan.

With our help they took it back from Russia.

Then with our help, they were booted and Hamid Karzai beccame head of an interim power-sharing government. Hamid Karzai was then elected president.

Yes, that's precisely why we're mocking the "enemy of my enemy" view of foreign policy.

Did you seriously just say "HA! It was actually a good thing when Reagan armed al-Qaeda"?

Not to mention we created the terrorist Bin Laden there because he felt abandoned by the US.

"The U.S. training and arming al-Qaeda was good because of Soviet Russia" is a pretty embarrassing take, even for 40.

It's probably impossible, considering no source on the internet forgets 20 years of Afghanistan history. However, hastily reading a times magazine photo article could explain it.
