What I am saying is that because of mans' sin in the Garden of Eden, men (and women)are born into sin.

We all have challenges we have to work to overcome. We all have sinful inclinations we have to overcome. None of us are without sin.

The Bible tells us that we will either be judged under the Law, (the 10 Commandments) or be saved through Christ and His atoning sacrifice. No one can live perfectly under the Law. We all need Christ to save us. As Christians, we don't get to just "make it up as we go along".

Hebrews 10: 26 to 32 tells us: 26 If we deliberately keep on sinning after we have received the knowledge of the truth, no sacrifice for sins is left, 27 but only a fearful expectation of judgment and of raging fire that will consume the enemies of God. 28 Anyone who rejected the law of Moses died without mercy on the testimony of two or three witnesses. 29 How much more severely do you think someone deserves to be punished who has trampled the Son of God underfoot, who has treated as an unholy thing the blood of the covenant that sanctified them, and who has insulted the Spirit of grace? 30 For we know him who said, “It is mine to avenge; I will repay,” and again, “The Lord will judge his people.” 31 It is a dreadful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.

As Christians, (and I know you are not one) we should take this warning seriously. God pardons us when we turn from our sin, and repent and ask forgiveness. However, if we just continue sinning because we feel that we know better than the Bible, well, the Bible outlines that as well.

As far as the Bible being "written by man", well, Christians believe that it is the inspired Word of God, written through man, by God, much as a man would use a pen to write a letter.

I do worry when people call themselves Christians, yet live in open rebellion against God, in so many ways. The Bible says that: 17For Christ did not send me to baptize, but to preach the gospel, not with eloquent words of wisdom, lest the cross of Christ be emptied of its power. 18For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God. (I Cor 1:17-18)

We, Christians, are not perfect, not by any stretch. However, if we accept Christ as Lord and Savior, and repent (turn from) our sins, then I firmly and completely believe that we will be saved.

Again, because of man's sin in the Garden of Eden, man is born into sin. (just as genetics pass down traits from parent to child)

When God created man, he gave us free will. We chose sin. Because of that, we all have sinful impulses. We can decide to obey those impulses, or to follow Christ to salvation.

Except if you’re born gay, that means you didn’t choose.

That continues being the part you love ignoring.

One would think with so many interpretations of God, it would actually be a good thing if the church included the LBGT community.

But instead, the vast majority of Christians decide to use the vengeful and fear based interpretation of God.

Did God say homosexuality is a sin, or did man decide that?

We all know that’s something you can’t seriously begin to answer with any sort of confidence in your opinion on that topic.

I have no doubt they will be. I hope that you find your way to salvation as well. Stranger things have happened. The apostle Paul was a Pharisee, and he hated the followers of Christ. Originally he pursued, and even allowed/caused the death of the disciples of Christ. However, God often uses the least likely people to accomplish his purposes on earth. It is amazing, because the name of Jesus is known far and wide, even though His ministry on earth lasted about 3 years. He "should have been" forgotten ..... but today, 2000 or so years later, even people who follow other religions know and revere the name of Jesus. (though in different ways)

I wish that people would sit down and read the Bible every day. It is a beautiful story of God's love, as man rebelled against Him, turned from Him, yet God had a perfect plan to sacrifice Himself (in the person of Jesus Christ) to the most horrific and brutal temporal death, to save us from our sins.

Some people say that the Bible is just another "God myth", but when you look at the Bible, it is a completely different story than is told by any other culture, at any other time in history. The creator God sacrifices Himself for the sake of His creation. What a beautiful story God tells us. (and I use story to mean narrative, not a falsification) It is the story of a parent who loves his children so much, that even though they turn from him, abuse His name, and disobey Him at every possible moment, He is still willing to forgive, and "remember their sins no more".

God hasn't forced us to Him, he condescended to come to earth to save us. That is absolutely beautiful.

We choose how we handle our temptations. Everyone has temptations that go against the Bible. Every one of us. All of us who have serious sinful impulses can argue that we were made that way.

Try going into court and telling the judge that you aren't really guilty of murder, because you were just made that way, and just don't have that innate value of life as others do. Do you think that the judge will just look at you and say, "Oh, OK, you can go then. Case dismissed."? Of course not. Yet we expect God, who has a higher standard of justice than anyone on this planet can imagine, to do so. No. There is a price to be paid for sin, and either we allow Christ to pay it for us, or we do ourselves.

As far as homosexuality being a sin, some use certain questionable definitions to try to make it acceptable to God, but I come back to 2 thing. 1, the commandment against adultery. 2, the fact that Jesus defined marriage as 1 man to 1 woman, becoming 1 flesh, for life. He didn't allow for any other definition. The great news is, though, that Jesus offers salvation. The woman at the well, in Samaria, (the Samaritans were not liked by the Jews, at all, despite being a branch of Judaism) was told by Jesus all about her life. She had been married and divorced 5 times, and she was living with a man, out of wedlock. Jesus exposed her sin, and didn't say, "You are forgiven, so go ahead and keep sinning". He said "Go and sin no more".

I know that I am not going to convince you. I have not, despite all of our previous messages, and postings on the board. However, God doesn't force us to follow Him. However, we do face the consequences for our sin is we do not.

And the LORD God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat:

Why did God make the commandment to Adam and Eve, not to eat from the tree of good and evil?

Would they surely die?

At the moment that Adam and Eve did eat from the the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, there was a spiritual death, that is that the spirit of God in which he breathed into their nostrils with the breath of life was taken from them.

What followed was the first sacrifice to cloth their nakedness before God, pointing to a greater reality to come, in the Atonement for our sins, with Christ fulfilling the law, (therefore making his law immutable, by this very act.) and giving his own life as the final sacrifice, fulfilling the symbolism of the animal, sacrifices, and the grain, and the drink offerings, that were but a shadow (IOU) of things fulfilled in Jesus.

Physically Adam lived 930 years, but this death was more of an act of mercy unto Adam, for spiritually he was already dead and at enmity with God.

After the fall God let man go on thinking that they could know good from evil, but it prevailed them nothing in the end and mans every thought was that of evil, continually.

Later God gave man his law, showing us what is good from evil, but it became clear by the accounts of the Israelites, and their continual cycle of falling from the ways of the law of God, and their continual need for his mercy on them, that the knowledge of good and evil, still could not make man good in itself and more importantly, man was still spiritually dead, because the spirit of God was not in them, so that they could not truly know God.

By the time that God was manifest in the flesh and dwelt among us. The Pharisees thought that by their wisdom and their traditions, that they had finally achieved righteousness, by ways of their oral traditions, but Jesus in his dealing with them, showed the Pharisees, that their condition was worse, then if they had never been given the knowledge of what is good and what is evil, because man could still not know his Creator, because he was still spiritually dead.

This was the reason why in the beginning God gave Adam and Eve, the commandment to not eat from the tree in the midst of the Garden of Eden, because the knowledge of good and evil, could not make man know God and his intentions for us when man was made in his image, for it was the tree of life that God had given man in the garden, that would allow man to know God and have a relationship with our Creator.

Jesus by his ministry, showed us, that the covenant in which he gave to the children of Israel, was but a curse to us, because there is not one that is good and that the wages of sin is death.

Jesus became sin for us, so that he might suffer the consequences of sin for us and died the death that we all deserve, so that we might have the life that only he deserved, by fulfilling the law, that no man could ever hope to fulfill, by the hearing of the law, for it is the doers of the law who will be justified before God; even though Jesus knows that we will never fulfill the law.
Jesus became the second Adam for us that we might have the Spirit of God restored to us, yet keeping the free will of the first Adam.

Only by our spiritual death, and being reborn of the Holy Spirit, can we be doers of the law and know our Creator, he who imputes our justification.

Only by divine intervention could this be achieved, because God is eternal and can not die, so God resurrected from the dead, so that we might have forgiveness for our sins and the promise of a resurrection, by way of his Spirit that he would restore unto man at pentecost, if we believed in him and believe that he is the way and the truth and the life.

"If you love me, keep my commandments".

The whole duty of man is not to judge others, but to repent of their own sins.

IE; God doesn't care much for figure pointing when we rebuke each other on doctrinal issues, it should be in the spirit of good will.

Why did God chose to have a chosen people?

To bear witness (the first) to the truth and to his law, which he codified and entrusts with them, but God knew that they where a stiffnecked peoples and knew that they would transgress his law, and be at his mercy for deliverance from their fallen state, but would also bless them, IF they obeyed his laws and his statutes, and God raised up other prophet's to rebuke them of their error.

By the time of the sixty ninth week of the seventy week prophecy and the anointing of The Christ Jesus; (followed by a three and a half year ministry with his apostles and disciples, in the midst of the seventieth week.) the laws of the Pharisees had become a way of self righteousness, by means of their works and their traditions and reason, by means of an oral traditions, being not confederate to God and his law, which is his character illustrated.

With the fulfillment of the seventy weeks, three and a half years after they denied and crucified the Christ Jesus; their probation closed on the covenant that God had made with their fathers, for they where saved because of their faith (doers) in ha moshiach to come.

Jesus brought with him and confirmed to us his new covenant for our admonition.

Firstly unto the Jews; (until the sealing of the vision and the prophecy and the anointing of the Christ Jesus, ha moshiach.) for in his great mercy, which is equal to his judgment for the transgression of the law, which debt's he paid for in full, with the life and the blood, as the Son of man.

The very fact that Christ had to live the sinless life and be our unblemished sacrificial Lamb, there by fulfilling the law, makes his law immutable.

Jesus forever put an end to the daily sacrifice and the system of shadows, that where revealed and had their fulfillment in Christ.

They where a type, as was the dispensation of the old covenant that God made with their fathers.

In Jesus and his gospel (the second witness and testimony) we have a greater reality in the antitype.

The new covenant that was prophesy, would also become a light unto the gentiles and this was always the plan of our Creator, that we should all come to know him.

The law could never in itself, cause us to know our Creator.

Knowing the difference between good and evil can not make one righteous unto God.

The only thing that can cause us to know our Creator is by having the Holy Spirit, and the hearing of his word.

This was the comforter, that the Father sent in the name of Jesus Christ at the first pentecost following his ascension to heaven.

He set aside a day, the sabbath, for an individual relationship with his people in the beginning, for the law came after transgression and in his forbearance he called Abram out of Ur, (Babylon) to become the father of many nations.

As the accounts of the Israelites are a testimony and a type of the future antitype, which is the symbolism of a greater future reality in what Israel represents in the dispensation of Grace.

We are then children of Abraham by keeping the commandments of God, and having the faith of Jesus; in who we have Justification and by whom are we sanctified. This is the characteristics of the greater Israel prophesy by the prophet's.

The Law and Grace together, until all is fulfilled with the coming of the Lord with all his host of angels.

One can not cherry pick one or the other and be a part of remnant, which greater Israel symbolizes in a spiritual sense.

Israel, is therefore the saints of God, that will be resurrected or transformed at his second coming; the church of Christ; the bride of Christ, the Bridgroom.

This is not legalism, this is righteousness by faith in varity.

The Israel that we see today is a synthesis of the Antichrist Beast from out of the sea, for
"Ordo Ab Chao" (fear) to synthesize their one world religion and one world temporal government, with the temporal sword, subject and obedient to the spiritual sword she thinks to usurp from Jesus Christ.

The new city (Jerusalem) only comes with the new heavens and the new earth, after the saints have been priest of God in heaven a thousand years, after he comes to fetch them, for this heaven and this earth is; ...reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men.
{2 Peter 3:7}

I will raise them up a prophet from among their brethren, like unto you [Moshe], and will put my words in his mouth; and he will speak unto them all that I will command him.
{Deuteronomy 18:18}

Jesus fulfilled this prophecy and the purpose of his chosen people, that the seed of promise would come from them.

Now that Christ has come, they must be a part of the ['brit chadashah'] new covenant, like the rest of his people.

The type and the antitype must be in harmony in eschatology.

Disclaimer to the mention of the modern state of Israel:

God forbid that I am against, the Hebrews from having a homeland and a place of refuge from the persecution, that they as a people have had to endure over the centuries.

Jesus forgave them on the cross, why therefore should I begrudge them of the basic necessary dignity that as a Christain, I must offer as brothers and sisters made in the image of our Creator.

My soul is afflicted for them, and my prayer is that they individually will answer Jesus Christ who knocks at their doors.

The motives behind the plan are veiled, because of their deceptions. While the eyes of the world are not on the beast and the fallen temple of God and looking at Israel and some future temple built by mans hands, that was not prophesy of the prophets. This false perception, serves to strengthen their deception, so that we can have wars and rumours of war, with Israel being the antithesis and the central point of emphasis of the vehicle of fear, so that they can synthesize their dominion rule, the Babylon, which is no mystery to the elect of God.

Jesus is "the Holy one of Israel", Ha Moshiach, according to Isaiah.
So when we Christians bless Israel, we bless our inheritance as adopted sons and daughters; so it was in the beginning, when Joseph (the suffering servant.) was permitted to take a gentile bride, with Ephraim and Manassah being adopted sons of Jacob; so too will it be in the day of judgment of all men.

I personally have a niece who turned gay and she is still very much loved by the family, even with her faults, as are we are all with all of our faults.

Yes, we are made male and female, are we not? We all are born with a propensity to sin. Turning gay falls under the same category of a propensity to sin.

Being born gay is a myth. It is a choice they make for many differnt reasons.
It is a choice that they made answerable only to God. We all have sinned and have the same to answer to before God for our sins, but in Christ we have (provisional) redemption.

Take a predatory homosexuals, like these priest who molest young boys. Do they look any different than other men? No.

Are they born to have sex with young boys?! God forbid this is of God.

We all want to blame God for our fallen nature and yet the real perpetrator is the one who was found to have inequity in him in the beginning.

The bible says Jesus was a friend of sinners and tax collectors.

He loves them. He died for them. But, he does ask them to pick up their cross and follow him and sin no more.

The border and immigration is a temporal matter, not a matter for the spiritual sword, for Christ teaches that the spiritual sword and the temporal swords be kept separate and apart, for what does the worldly kingdom have in common with the heavenly kingdom. He knows that though we are not to be of the world, we still have to live in this world for this life.

On the rest of your points ... you have a greater understanding of the character of God than many professing Christains.

In the bible Christ shows the conflict in men to always do the right thing out of love. The only time he shows anger or a form of hate that I remember was when he entered the temple to confront the money changers. He did that for their disrespect of God. I think it had more to do with the things men are willing to do out of greed.

Negative evidence is really no evidence at all.

We are living in those times today and the amount of outside physical evidence, that the bible is true that has been uncovered in my life time is truely no myth. I wish that everyone would go volunteer and serve at a rescue mission or soup kitchen once a month.

I go to serve, and in my serving I feel more rewarded than in most things that would earn me money.

As far as WWJD? he would work to bring people to faith and repentance. All people, of all colors, races, level of affluence, and any other trait you care to mention. Jesus didn't come to abolish the Law of the prophets, (the 10 commandments) He came to fulfill them by His sinless life. Jesus calls us to faith in Him, and repentance of our sins. Repentance means to turn away from. If we say "I'm sorry", then go do the same thing again ..... how sorry are we? It's like a 5 year old who hits his little brother, mom says stop that and apologize, and the kid does so .... until mom's back is turned again, and he hits his little brother even harder.

We need to work at turning from our sins, through faith in Jesus Christ. Jesus never excused sin, but He forgave. However, as He forgave, He called people to repentance. He knows we sin, and it happens because this is a sinful world, but He doesn't want us living in rebellion against Him, and rubbing His nose in our sins. We need to turn from them, as Christians, and try to not do them anymore. When we fail, we need to ask forgiveness, and ask for help to stop what we have done wrong.

No Christian ever saves himself by himself.He is saved by Christ, and as a consequence of that salvation works to clean the sin from his life, as best he can.

We all have our own crosses to bear. In God's eyes a sin is a sin. It's man's arrogance to say one sin is greater than another. Homosexuality is a sin. So is lying and adultery. So is over eating and being gluttonous. So are a great many other things. We all have our weaknesses that is our Cross to bear.

We have all sinned at some point in our life. We are all sinners because at some point we have disobeyed God's will and did what we wanted instead. I am no better than anyone else on this board because I have sinned and fallen short many times.

Those of us who sin know we are guilty which is why we try so hard to make excuses for our bad behavior. We turn further away from God the more we sin so we don't have to face our shame of failing. It's a foolish thing to do but we all do it at some point in our lives.

The only solution is to face up to the wrong we have done and repent. Repent means to feel sorry for what you have done and then do your best to stop doing it. When we don't we deserve to be rebuked for it.

You mentioned adultery. I have been faithful to my wife for 37 years physically. However Matthew 5 27-28 says 27You have heard that it was said, ‘Do not commit adultery.’ 28But I tell you that anyone who looks at a woman to lust after her has already committed adultery with her in his heart. Hell I am guilty of that every day.

Mystery Babylon is the Type of the Anti Type, representing a greater future reality, and that she will be a Mother, so there is a central city like Babylon, but also of the whole world, meaning in a practical sense, of the world.
This is the greater reality Babylon symbolizes.

And I saw one of his heads [5th] as it were wounded to death; and his deadly wound was healed [7th head]: and all the world wondered after the beast.

The deadly wound;

He that leads into captivity will go into captivity: he that kills with the sword [temporal] must be killed with the sword...

This captivity will end with the return of her [the Mother Church] temporal sword. Her spiritual sword she never lost.

The two kingdoms of the second beast of Rev 13:11-17.

With the loss of the wall of separation symbolized in the two equal horns of the second beast of, Rev 13:11-17; the first beast from out of the sea, (meaning many peoples, and nations, and tongues.) wound will be healed, the "8th" __17:11 meaning one of the seven heads of the beast of Rev 17 will be resurrected.
This will be the 5th of the seven heads who received the deadly wound by the loss (her captivity from) of her temporal powers.

This will be the dispensation of the seventh and final head.

We are currently in the dispensation of the 6th head since she went into captivity in 1798.

There is only one book by which the reader who studies it will be blessed, and they will know what is a Mystery to the world, because it has been "signified", (of the root word meaning 'to signal'.) thus the reason it must be studied to gain discernment.

To read the book in a chronological mind set only brings about confusion to those of the world who read it and think to prophesy it in their error of not understanding the structure of the book.

This structure is a Chiasm, meaning a key and any distortions to the book either in the form of an error of translation or by interpretation, (ever learning, but never coming to the knowledge of the truth.) this will violate the Chiasm as it was written and inspired by Jesus Christ.

"And whither I go you know, and the way you know"

It will no longer be a mystery to those who ask for this knowledge.

To be of one of her daughters, is symbolic of not coming out out Babylon the Type.

These have become the spirit of the false prophet and they will persecute their fellow Christians.

And they will say in that day...

"We have no king but Caesar"

Hear is the patience of the saint:
here are they who keep the commandments of God and have the faith of<(in the genitive sense) Jesus.

They will persecute those who will not relinquish the true doctrine of Christ, which we have received, because they will not wonder after the beast and they will come out of Babylon.

Then will your light break forth as the morning, and your health will spring forth speedily: and your righteousness will go before you; the glory of YHWH will be your reward.

Then will you call, and YHWH will answer; you will cry, and he will say, Here I am. If you take away from the midst of you the yoke, the putting forth of the finger, and speaking vanity;

Their light will shine brighter in the midst of their tribulation, for this will be the time when the latter rain is given, for the ripening of the harvest.
This is shortly before probation closes, after the sealing of the saints of God, after the thief has come, (Judgement is made in heaven, before the execution of judgement on earth.) when there will be a famine in the land, but not a famine of food but for the hearing of the word of God and faith comes by the hearing of the word.

We hear his word when we study it. This is how the Almighty speaks to us.

This is a monumental spiritual battle before us.

The scroll is sweat to the taste, but it will be bitter in your belly.

I consider myself to be fairly knowledgeable about the Bible, but I have to admit that I do not fully understand the Revelation. It is difficult to fully understand, for me, because so much seems to be written in metaphor.
