I have some comments about the game and moving forward.

--First of all, do some of you guys ever feel dumb for the constant negative comments you make? Do you ever even consider shutting up during games because you consistently make comments that are so far off base? The games at this point should be fun and all some of you do is spew negative crap.

The Game:

--I said earlier that Game 4 was the key. Being down 3-1 would be too much to overcome, but I'm taking LeBron and our experience when there are just 3 games left.

--Our defense was very good. We scrambled, chased down shooters, contested at the rim, boxed out, and rebounded. There were a few glitches, but overall, our D was a strength.

--LeBron annoyed me early on because I thought he was being too casual, but the dude has come a long way since his younger years. He truly has the heart of a champion. This victory may have been his greatest accomplishment. In the long run, it won't be considered as such because it's not in the Finals, but damn man, he willed this team to victory.

--Lue angered me when he took TT out in the 2nd half when Horford was still in the game. Rest TT when Horford is out, but he has to be in when Big Al is in there. Btw------props to my boy, TT. Dude came up big in this series. His toughness and ability to do the things that don't show up in the box score were huge.

--Jeff Green really did some nice things for us. He didn't look scared. He made some key shots and he helped us be tougher on the defensive interior.

--Love pissed me off talking to those female reporters. Why you smiling?

--Hill was off, but he plays good D and he gives us some stability. We needed that and Boston did not have that. They were more helter-skelter than us. It's another example of something that doesn't show up in the box score.

--Korver is not the terrible defender that some say he is. He is an excellent team defender. It sucked that his shot was off last night, but we still won.

The Finals:

--The level of negativity from certain posters on this board is going to reach new heights--or depths, if you prefer. Me? I'm going to enjoy the ride.

--We are going to be huge underdogs, so I am not setting my expectations too high. I'm just thankful we are still playing. I do think we have a decent chance if Houston wins and CP3 remains hobbled. Harden has a history of choking and the Finals is a completely different animal.

Let's Go, Cavs!!!

I've often wondered that. Lead has complained and whined us to 4 straight finals and a championship. Going back and reading his posts is hilarious, with all of his "game over", "series over" and "Lebron doesn't have it" type of comments. He's predicted a loss in every playoff series since 2015. His record is worse than Hue's! grin

Well that's the thing with basketball.

Only 5 guys play at once.

And when one of those 5 guys is one of the greatest (arguably the greatest) player of all time, your team is pretty good.

And if a few of those other guys get hot, your team is unbeatable.

last night's game was huge....for jeff green. 10 years in the league, heart surgery, bounced around the league.

to perform like that in a game 7 of the ECF....man, we needed that.

did anybody catch the reactions from hill and green in the locker room? they couldn't even stand, they were sitting there in shock, just soaking in the moment that they made it.

really proud of this team, because once again their shots were off, but they played some serious defense all game.

i want us to see the rockets in the finals, but ultimately i dont care. i'm so happy the cavs even got back to the finals with all the drama, injuries, trades that went down this season. truly a huge accomplishment.

A few things from last night:

- Lebron was definitely pacing himself and picking his spots. He knew 48 minutes was mandatory

- Jeff Green was big for us. Not just making shots (which we needed too) but his versatility on defense allows us to switch and maintain integrity

- JR made 3/8 from behind the arc. Just good enough.

- Korver made one big shot, but was a negative factor for one of the first times. Unlike what others have said, he IS a poor defender. Teams literally go right at him and isolate. He tries hard and is in the right positions, but saying he's a good defender is incorrect (he had a -5 overall for the game)

- Nance was out of his element.

- Our switching and NOT double teaming Horford in the first half was a HUGE reason why we trailed early. TT needed to be glued to him and/or we needed to double.

- Tatum will be nasty good.

- Rozier and Brown shrunk. They're young and it showed.

- On to the finals .. again smile

I missed the post-game stuff. Had to be huge for guys like Green and Hill.

I love the play-offs, bro. The range of emotions during a game is unreal. And BB is so fast, that those emotions can change suddenly. You can be angry, hopeful, excited, experience despair, frustrated, joyous, devastated, and even euphoric.

I've said it many times, but I truly am thankful when my teams [most notably Ohio State and the Cavs] are playing in meaningful games.

Agreed and agreed.

I love the Basketball Playoffs. 40 days and 40 nights, just like Jesus, lol

With the Cavs, my emotions go from elation, to frustration. Hopelessness to confidence. And the faith, that with the best to ever play the game, they always have a shot.

I'm not a huge Ohio Sports Fan, but I am very grateful to have the opportunity to root for Lebron James in the playoffs. He's incredible.

No player except LeBron could have pulled this team to the finals.

Honestly I thought they would lose in the first round.

Much has written about Mr. James but to date this may have been his greatest achievement.

No Kyrie, no Love and not much of anything but LeBron for a full 48 minutes in game seven after 15 years in the league.

A team thrown together at mid season. Not one shot creator on the team except for James. All of them depend upon feeds from Mr. James.

Much more could be stated about what we are seeing.

For me I just sit back and marvel because I have never seen anything like it.

I do disagree with this. Jordan Clarkson, Jeff Green, and Kevin Love can create their own shots.

Doesn't mean the shots will go in, but they can. I think Rodney Hood can too?

But athletically and what they do with the ball in their hands, they do get looks. They just don't seem to sink them often. Jeff Green came through last night though. And Kevin Love comes through somewhat regularly too. Just not this series

I saw an interesting tidbit: Steph Curry's lowest FG% against any player is when he has played George Hill.

Honestly, we probably match up defensively better right now:

Hill on Curry
James on Durant/Green
TT on Durant/Green
JR on Klay
Love as the guy who can help/rebound

Not to mention we have Green off the bench with his versatility and can probably cover Durant/Green/Klay too

I think we will be better defensively than we were last year in the finals, but obviously, scoring will be at a premium.

I just don't know what we will have to offer on offense.

What exactly is Chris Paul's injury if he can't even play until game 3 of the Finals?

Did his hammy fall off and he needs to grow a new one?

Good explanation:

Chris Paul's hamstring injury is a Grade 2 strain, per multiple sources. For reference that's the same injury that cost James Harden almost three weeks back in January. As one source put it, "We tried everything. It's just not humanly possible."

Eve, hamstring injuries suck. I played RB in high school and college. Tore my hammy in my sophomore year of college. It's terrible. You can't cut. You can't push off hard. And it takes forever to go away. If he can play in game 3, then it isn't too severe......but believe me, girl..........hamstring injuries suck!
