Yep, my wife just graduated nursing school so shes not jaded to the industry yet so she stil likes to watch all these medical type reality shows. Some of them are based in GB or other parts of Europe and we were just talking about the technology they have that is far ahead of what we have , or at least the tech that is made available to everybody. Yet, we soend way more per capita on healthcare. Maybe its because a large part of what we pay in healthcare goes to shareholders and CEOs and other execs

There are way around this issue if you were actually able to negotiate your own wage and benefit package. In my case my employer provides me insurance which i pay $100 of the monthly premium...they pay $500...my wife has insurance but has a spousal exclusion unless I am required to pay 50% or more of the employer premium.....I asked my employer to change the structure of the payment arrangements and give me a $250 a month raise so that now I would pay $350/month of the premium and they would pay $250...I am now over the 50% barrier...I got a $250/month raise...the employer is saving $250/month in premiums they wont pay on me and I get on my wife's plan and have a true single family deductible and co-insurance (plus I have a bad claim history that hurts my employers premiums). Win Win all the way around...but its not fair to the other employees that dont have a working spouse that they could piggy back off of...so my employers spends even more money on health insurance....

YOu could also negotiate your position to one that does not have insurance...Wage only...all you need is a declaration from your employer thats states this position does not come with insurance...it happens at my wife's place of employment all the time.

Not sure you are asking me. I've been on this board since it started and the one before this. Would rather read, pretty sure no one really gives a hoot what I have to say so limit my ramblings. I get a lot out of your and some others insight in to players, football operations and game plans. Really don't care for the squabbling some have toward each other though.
