again, 5 times the legal limit of WHAT
he wasn't drinking and driving. he can get as drunk as he wants in his own home.
they had no warrant, which means the guy wasn't obligated to talk to the cops AT ALL. The Obscene loud music in front of school children obligated him to talk to police.

I always love the "you are just too stupid to understand why I'm right" part of the argument... It's become a popular model for those who lack the ability to show that they are actually smart.

5X the legal limit is he was 5X over the limit for being legally drunk
There is no "limit" to how drunk you legally are allowed to be . This is BS thrown out there to discredit the guy. The same as bringing up his previous record. The limit you are referring to is the drunk driving limit. The guy was not driving so what reason is there to bring this up? The dudes gun was in his back pocket, he was not brandishing it , and he was in his own home. Youre defending the police just to defend the police and your stance is just ridiculous . Even my wife who used to be a police dispatcher and always seems to take the polices side has read about this and said this is ridiculous that these cos were found to be not at fault. My father in law who is a 30 year retired veteran of CPD says these guys screwed up and got let off

This is correct and I have had it confirmed by a SGT at CPD. Years ago I had a childrens service come to our house asking questions because my kids had been in a car accident riding to school with their friends GMA from across the street. The GMA was not at fault, but it was a really nasty accident . Was a big story that day on all the Cleveland news networks , and luckily for my kids Tim Misny made them pay. But anyways when she came she brought a CPD with her . SHe wnted to come in my house and told her no, she was persistent and eventually I told her to eff off and started to close the door . The cop tried to tell me not to close the door and I asked him does he have an arrest or a search warrant and he said no.So I told him to eff off and I closed the door . He stood there pounding on my door and eventually he called into the station and his SGT told him to leave my porperty because I had n obligation to talk to them. Since my father in law was a 30 year vet of CPD the SGT called me later and apologized for the cop acting that way and he told me I was absolutely correct .

Do you have new information that hasn't been posted? Does your father have more information than what was posted? Drunk with a firearm loud nasty music around grade school children and eluding police. He could have just given himself up. Where would police willing let a drunk individual have a gun around grade school children?

again, NOTHING YOU STATED is grounds for the guy getting shot. nothing you stated suggest that the cops are justified in shooting.
he was drunk IN HIS OWN HOME.
just stop it already.

they had no warrant, which means the guy wasn't obligated to talk to the cops AT ALL. From my understanding, you are correct, he wasn't drinking and driving and he can get as drunk as he wants in his home. I am sure devil can be one to clarify, but I believe it would depend on the call that was placed whether or not they could enter. I know I had called the police on a neighbor one time - his gf and him were arguing really bad throwing crap etc - im not one to be nebby but it sounded like it was going to escalate rather quickly. long story short, he opened the door and refused to let them in, they kicked the door down with him standing there knocking him on patootie, while he screamed "I know my rights!" I would go on a limb and say he didn't it ended with him resisting even more, thus getting tazed and arrested. I do wish there was more information about this case, because something surely seems off about what is being reported and the outcome of the man being shot and losing his life. Something tells me there is more not being reported, as this "award" deems we are not being fed all the details. Because from I can read, its just plain a spit in the face, but for what reason?

but in your case thats completely different bro.
you're talking about the cops going in because of a serious threat of domestic violence potentially happening.
but in this case, thats not what happened. the call was about loud music. from everything posted on the board, there was no history of child abuse. he was drunk in his own home. there was no warrant.
he didn't point the gun at the kids. he didn't point the gun at the cops. his gun was in his back pocket, so i dunno how a dead guy can put the gun in his back pocket, especially since once again, there was no report of the cops stating the the man was pointing a gun at them or anybody else.
his gun was also unloaded.
i dont get this bro.

i dont get this bro. How would one know his gun was unloaded? How do you know who he pointed the gun at? "Testimony showed Hill was playing Drake's "All Me," a song rife with F-bombs and N-words. The mother took offense and called police. City law prohibits "unnecessary noise" and provides that offenders get a warning on the first offense in 24 hours and a citation on the second. A third complaint may result in a misdemeanor charge. "

you're talking about the cops going in because of a serious threat of domestic violence potentially happening. Agreed. That's why I through out I think Devil would be a better one to elaborate on that. I honestly don't know if they could just a DTP call vs. a domestic disturbance call. he didn't point the gun at the kids. he didn't point the gun at the cops. his gun was in his back pocket, so i dunno how a dead guy can put the gun in his back pocket, especially since once again, there was no report of the cops stating the the man was pointing a gun at them or anybody else.
his gun was also unloaded. I agree with you...it seems fishy to say the least with what is being reported. I just find it highly unlikely that a jury of 12 would all AGREE to this award without seeing SOMETHING we do not know about here.

Of course we don't. And Vambo can't make any sense of it either. But there are many now that are hung up on the fact that a cop would never shoot and kill a innocent black man in his own home without justification, so they have to make crap up to justify the senseless murder.

The VAST majority of the time, they get it right. Sentencing....now that's a different topic But what I am saying is, like others in the this thread have - why award the 4 bucks? THAT is what is making me think there is something more to this. Cause if it was a simple case of the jury just not agreeing with it, they would award 0. But all 12 of them agreed to award 4 dollars - and agreed to split that 4 dollars to the wife and kids...its like they were making a point. There had to be something (at lease I believe) that proved to them this was justified that we are not hearing. Because there is no other logical explanation to award the 4 bucks other to make a point.

You keep throwing that out there like it validates your argument , when the whole argument is people are pissed that a jury and grand jury cleared this cop. And of course internal affairs cleared him. Cops investigating cops, what would you expect those results to come back as ?

He put the lives of children in mortal danger.
He put the lives of his neighbors in danger. I don't see where anybody was in danger until the cops lit up his garage door hoping they would hit something. If you come up with any new information we can talk more but you are stuck he's innocent because he's black. Nope, he wasn't innocent.. he was guilty of playing loud obscene music, which as I understand is a first offense warning.. and he was guilty of having a gun in his back pocket considering his arrest history he should have been held accountable for that. I'm all in with the fact this guy is pretty stupid, also all in with the fact that he's not innocent legally.. but you are still miles away from convincing me that there was any rationale for the cops to shoot him through a closed garage door.

You wouldn't know the gun was unloaded.. but most people aren't convinced he pointed it at anybody or even "brandished" it since he was found dead with it in his pocket.. "Testimony showed Hill was playing Drake's "All Me," a song rife with F-bombs and N-words. The mother took offense and called police. I would have probably done the same thing. No need for that in any neighborhood, let alone right across from an elementary school.. but I assure you, next time I would think twice because I don't want somebody's blood on my hands over a noise complaint.

Thus makes me think there is a LOT more information not being presented by the media in this case. Body cams? Have you seen or heard witness testimony during the trial? You are basing our opinions solely on what this reporter is wanting to write. I want more information.

If we ony talked about things we had every bit of information on, there wouldnt be very many discussions on this board which is fine, but to say the police "murdered" the gentleman, or there is some huge racist consipiracy going on, I think you (not you, but in general) need to provide some type of evidence on that suggestion. As of right now, the police were found justified in their actions. Seems to me, there is a lot o information not being stated by this reporter, which lends to the divide we have now, and why police officers are getting ambushed and slain in the streets. Now if it comes out that what happened is what is being suggested by the article and the man was slain, then these police officers need held accountable and hung. but I find it fairly odd a jury and grand jury found them to be in the clear since some on this board based on one article have seem to have deemed them murderous racist.

I'm assuming this was not a closed trial as there would have been no need for that. Therefore all of the media would have been allowed in. There are enough right leaning media outlets who would be looking for anything they could find to vindicate this officer.. I have a hard time believing there is this wealth of contradictory evidence out there that would do that or somebody would have written about it by now. If more evidence comes out, I'll consider it.. as for now... You are basing our opinions solely on what this reporter is wanting to write. I have read multiple articles on the original verdict as well as the $4 decision and I'm basing my opinions on the only information I have available.

Because I think this isht can and does happen to anyone . I think it was poor police work by a yahoo , trigger happy cop and I think making it about race detracts from the issue

I wasn't going anywhere with it that is a fact and the woman found it offensive... I wonder if this could have been avoid had the man just open the door and asked is there a problem officer? Yes your music is to loud and complaints were issued could you turn it down please? Sorry officer I will turn it down. Thank you have a good day. You too goodbye. The End

It's obvious to me that a rational debate or discussion about this blatant racism is impossible with the blatant resident bigots chiming in. Days like today, I honestly don't know why I bother to come in here.

Tell ya what, sonny, you keep waiting, and while your at it, why don't you see if you can figure it out all by yourself?
Old, you got nothing besides grade-school crap. Go holler racism at somebody who gives a flying fig.
Meanwhile, start looking for a new group of suckers to pay for all your generosity. You are running out of time. Your socialist agenda will not fly, we have too many guns. Also, when we take target practice, we ain't interested in lookin gangsta, we learn to hit what we aim at.

Excellent. It should be.
There are serious problems that need to be addressed, and long past time. The ball is in your court now, you have constructed a situation that we can no longer fix for you. We are done shoveling money at the problem.
Teach your children what they need to know, and far too many of them are failing to learn. You lead all ethnic groups in high school dropout rate, single parent household rate, teenage pregnancy rate, and unemployment. These are ingrained, inherent, cultural failures. It has gone on for many decades now. Learn from the Jews. They have suffered oppression and persecution for far longer and far worse. Yet, in all the above categories which lead directly to poverty and negative outcomes, they are at or among the lowest in all of these areas, consistently over time. That is because their culture, their community, will not tolerate it and they understand and teach the value of these things to all their children.
The black community has failed at these important tasks.
What you personally could do, Clem, is state clearly that you know exactly what would happen if you started playing twinkle, twinkle little star in the middle of Beethoven, no matter your great cause, don 't laugh it off, you would be out of a job tomorrow, or, AT BEST, definitely gone the second time you tried it. You know this because you understand that being told by the dude signing your paycheck exactly what you may or may not do during working hours is not racism, it is called earning a living, which is a necessary cultural value that needs to be taught to all children, and one ethnic group has consistently failed to get this done, and it is getting worse rather than better.
Step up or step off. All will choose.

“To announce that there must be no criticism of the President, or that we are to stand by the President, right or wrong, is not only unpatriotic and servile, but is morally treasonable to the American public.”

Tell me what you believe about why black women don't trust black men, and I will explain it in detail for you.
You are not entitled to answers. You don't have to like it, you get to.
