I like that we've added experience at each positional group: WR, QB, RB, OL, LB, DB

"First down inside the 10. A score here will put us in the Super Bowl. Jeudy is far to the left as Njoku settles into the slot. Tillman is flanked out wide to the right. Judkins and Ford are split in the backfield as Flacco takes the snap ... Here we go."

Tank did a pretty good job for us. I wish him well.

Someone on here yesterday predicted this would happen.. Wow.. Good guess.

if Tank Carder is getting reps on your football team then your not a good team at all.
Dorsey is adding proven players to the roster
too many players in the past that barely belonged in NFL took up.too much roster space in Cleveland hence the.300 winning %
good luck im not going to miss your 17 tackles per year

I dont think he is blowing that rebuilding up at all. It was all a part of the plan , and this is the next step. We got rid of dead weight, freed up a ton of cap space, loaded up on young talent and draft picks which netted us more young talent and when the time was right we went out and spent that capital and added young vets into the mix through trades and FA.

I hate to say it, but I agree.
Tank is a Special Teams guy (and a damned good one), but if he's getting meaningful reps then that position is far too barren and needs some attention.

Thanks for your time here Tank!

p.s. Since I've been so down on this team and roster, I will say that with this move and all the others that have been made, I have the ever-so-slightest bit of hope that this might actually look like an NFL defense this year.

If I'm GW, I'm going I'm going to try get all 4 LB's a lot of playing time.

If I want to rush the passer, I might put Collins at End.

If I want my best coverage LB's, I'd sit Schobert.

If I want to stop the run, I'd sit Collins or Kirksey.

It will be more than just him. With this guy, Collins, and Shobert, we have 3 guys who can play in or out. Add in Kirksey and Avery, we might only keep 5 backers on the team considering that Williams plays nickel a great deal of the time.

Watching his presser just now, he's certainly a little bit different .. he's all about his game, his performance, his stats, etc. It's all fine with me, as long as it helps us win

More I read about him, more I like this signing. By all means I think he can play each linebacker position from what I gather and see.

May the best player win the starting spots and this dude surely will compete imo.

I would suggest that was an indictment on just how poorly our dbs played. GW obviously decided our lbs gave us a better chance than the dbs we were tasked to use.

I really don't have a problem with either of those answers.

I'm with Y-Town, I have no problem with either of those answers. He was being asked about his whys and they absolutely would be personal. Personal does not equal selfish. As long as personal goals don't interfere with team success more power to him.

I would imagine that player's need internal motivation to play this game at a high level.

Wouldn't it be weird and superficial to give a bunch of team, rah-rah answers and he's just coming in? He didn't sound any more self-absorbed than Landry when he did his first interviews. Or when Mayfield says, (paraphrasing) he sets his own goals he doesn't accept people imposing expectation on him. BTW, I'm not mad a Landry or Mayfield for saying these thing.

What people do always weighs more than what they say. So until I see him or any other player do something selfish he gets the benefit of my doubt.

Yeah, I don't have an issue with them either. It felt honest and sincere. Regarding the "Best place to showcase his talents"-- maybe this lends credence to the fact that he was told that if he signed, he was promised to be a starter. On a one-year deal, if he performs well as a starter, he'll cash in in FA. It might be looked at as using the Browns for a bigger pay day, but he can have a career gameplan too.

I just love the fact that things seem to have turned around enough that a sought after FA would feel that The Browns is a good place to be able to achieve those goals when in the past we have been thought of as the place that careers go to die

1. MKC, gave the link. Just something that made an impression on me. As I was "HUH?" when she asked her question. Wasn't that important for me to know it by heart, just speaking out loud and right after the presser made me say that.

2. Start, I don't know if he can beat out Collins, Schobert, or Kindreks. I think the Will position is more vulnerable although I did think I read a poster saying they stated Mike???

But what I do know is if we go in a Nickel D Kendricks will be there. For all I know that might be 20% of our snaps or possibly even 60% of our snaps. If we are in that D he will be out there taking those reps!

Maybe, but a contract worth "up to" $3.5 million isn't exactly backing up the Brinks truck.

That's exactly what I thought. Both he and E.J. Gaines came at very reasonable prices.

It also wasn't the most ideal time for him to sign with a team either. FA was over, most top dollar contracts were handed out. That's why many times teams do a guy a "solid" releasing them early if they know they won't keep him.

Players were reporting to OTAs when this guy was searching for a job. He didn't have much leverage and probably why he only signed one-year deal. And probably why he got pissed at journalists for leaking the info too early when he was getting as much as he could.

That's sound reasoning. Still, he did sign a contract that is team friendly. Even if he wanted to, he wasn't able to convince the team to overpay. Taking the argument off the table.

A guy I play ps4 online with here and there is an Eagle fan. Said he was a good player and well capable of covering the pass and run.

Very encouraging, he'd say the guy sucked flat out if he did. Said it all along, may the best players get to see the field
