Not sure what her politics are but I like the video and her background.

I love her story.

One thing the 2016 election did was energize women to run for public office in numbers never seen before. Both D & R candidates getting into the mix for the first time. Fresh blood in the Old Boy's Club most likely isn't a bad thing at all.

p.s. She's running as one of the good guys.

I'm not sure where she stands on the issues, but I like her spirit, drive, attitude, guts, and the way she stands up for what she thinks is right.

Libertarians are my second favorite party on the fact that they have cojones unlike the small government Republicans, who love FISA. Although it was weak of Rand to get the feds to add charges to the neighbor who blindsided him.

Guys like Lamb in Pa won because they ran in centralistic areas and spoke to issues opposed to running on the Anti Trump rhetoric.

Not really in-depth on her site when it pertains to issues thought. I wonder if she is trying to keep it vague because of where she is running and is afraid to put her beliefs on paper.

I think most candidates have already figured that out. Truth be told, I haven't seen any D candidates who are running on a specifically anti-Trump platform.

It's the (potential) voters who routinely express their disdain for 45*.

Touting she is backed by Khan, seems (at least to me) she is trying to show she is anti trump. Its a veiled, but that's what I got from it. With all due respect to Mr. Khan and his family, what does his endorsement mean in the realm of politics? The only reason to put that on there, is because its widely known his despise for trump. at least IMO

Party politics aside, I wish more folks of her stripe would seek office.

The thing I like about her the most is that she is a "reluctant" politician.. she didn't plan her career around politics, getting an Ivy League law degree, or coming from a politically connected family or seeking to change the world from her teenage years.. she just saw first hand that what we are doing isn't working and decided the only way to change it was from the inside..

If she wins, I hope she stays true to her convictions... just from that short video, if anybody can, it's her.

She seems to be as well. I will give her a listen, and decide on her after research.

I don't know about it being a down side. A gold star family who was attacked by a politician seems like a pretty attractive proponent.

I went to her website, there isn't a lot of content there on her actual political views that I could find... didn't have a lot of time, will have to do some digging later..

Seems odd since I can neither vote for or against her since I don't live in Texas.... but I want people of good character in office, the more the better (on both the R and D side).. and with what little I know to date, she seems like one..

Election results disagree with you. AS do I. To each their own. The Dems who have been successful lately have all ran in swing areas that trump won - they ran on jobs and issues, not against trump.

The popular vote agrees with me. And isn't that what state elections are based on? Even more to the point, isn't that what elections in districts based on?

You seem to miss the point. Rather unwillingly or willingly. The Kahn family wasn't involved in those races. It was involved in the presidential election. The presidential election is decided by the electoral college. The popular vote went the other direction in the only matter the Kahn's were involved with.

Hes not, which is why he shouldn't have been used by the lowly dems simply for optics. And is why he shouldn't be used as someone who's opinion for support means anything. Which is why someone who touts his support is using that as running against trump, and not the issues. As another poster stated, the candidate does not have much info on her site - its rather vague. I wonder why?
