A four year deal. How nice of him to do that for the organization.

I have no ill will towards LeBron. It's a business. Teams cut players all the time.
I'm just bummed because the Cavs are going to be one of the worst--if not the worst--teams in the league for the foreseeable future.

He’ll be back.
Great 4-year run we had. The Browns and Indians have a lot of catching up to do, more so for the Browns.
I’d expect a few trades to go down soon.

Now that Lebron is gone:
1. Trade everyone for picks minus the good youth. 2. Hire Sam Hinkie.

I said awhile ago that it was between LA and Cleveland. I believed that to be true because I think LeBron was really listening to his family and inner-circle this time. It was more about what they wanted.
I believed that ruled out Houston, Philly, Boston, and San Antonio.
I kinda saw how Miami might be appealing to his clan, but I figured the opportunities, lifestyle, and weather in SoCal was quite a draw for them. I also figured Cleveland had a shot just because of the roots they had in NE Ohio.
I truly believe that this isn't about LeBron's legacy and instead it's about his family and inner circle. I also believe that the business opportunities for LeBron will be much more accessible in LA than anywhere else.

I don’t think Lebron will be in the finals next year. I hope he never makes another finals appearance again unless somehow back in a cavs uniform.

Man screw him. Have fun never living up to the shadows there. Have fun being a first round exit if you even make the playoffs in the West. It’s official for me. MJ>>>>lebron. What a douche

I saw speculation about the NBA trying to quickly push a reconstruction of playoff format now ... just seed teams 1-16
If that happens, I can't help but think the NBA really steered him to LA

I'd guess he isn't worried about getting any further rings, since LA won't be getting past GS any time soon. And he isn't getting any younger.
He wasn't gonna get past BOS in CLE next year with the current roster.
So, I guess he wanted a change in scenery. And be closer to his business deals.
Thanks for the fun times, Lebron.

I hope he never wins another title for how he has shunned Cleveland for the second time ...

So lebron signs all his buddies to ridiculous deals, forces out a great coach, drives Kyrie away, then leaves. Guess he had one last middle finger for Gilbert

If I were an owner of a professional sports franchise, I'd be doing my best to make sure the next CBA had language that didn't allow players to reach 'run your business my way' status. Not fair to the fan base if this was his motivation.

I am not sure why you are upset? You have been bashing LeBron and the moves the Cavs have made for four years. You constantly call the team "trash" or "garbage." You say that LeBron has "hurt" the team. You have been preaching that draft picks are more important that winning now. Well, you got your wish. Again, why are you upset? You should be joyful. The Cavs are going to build [sic] through the draft. Personally, I can't wait to see how your plan for what's best for the Cavs works out.

Why do you believe what lead is saying? Seriously... His suspicions aren't without evidence. Lebron could've signed a 4 year deal here two years ago, but he kept doing the opt out thing. Who could've been lured here if he had signed here long term? The contracts he helped the semi show up guys (Smith, Shumptert etc.) have saddled us with players getting play great every night money for playing great every two to three nights. He should've just played ball and let the front office be the front office.

Well, he did what he thought was best for him.
Good for him.
But, in all honesty, there's a part of me that says "good. Hope you get no more rings, and you and father Ball have a great time."

That's an interesting point. LeBron and Ball Sr have not gotten along. I remember LeBron saying: "Keep my children's names out of your mouth," or something like that.
I wonder if Ball will stay a Laker or if they will try and move him?
