Liked for the humor. We could use a little more of that.
Suffice it to say I'm not a fan of Lue. I'm not opposed to keeping him around for a season or two though.
On one hand, I think it will be amusing to how bad this guy is without 2-3 stars on the team, and our top 10 protected pick will be safe from being conveyed.
On the other hand, he's shown shockingly little ability to actually develop players and you don't want the young ones to develop bad habits. So I guess see what happens this coming season and then reevaluate in the off-season.
someone said to me: "If Cleveland wouldn't have won in 2016, Lebron would have stayed"
My response: "I'd rather win it once than have Lebron for 10 more years ... we ain't winning it ever again regardless."
"First down inside the 10. A score here will put us in the Super Bowl. Jeudy is far to the left as Njoku settles into the slot. Tillman is flanked out wide to the right. Judkins and Ford are split in the backfield as Flacco takes the snap ... Here we go."

Yes exactly. With GS, there's next to no chance and to have experienced a championship was priceless. I would have taken this situation over not winning and LBJ staying any day of the week.

Personally, I am grateful for 4 years of such quality BB. Four straight Finals. One Chip. Watching the league's greatest player and arguably one of the two best players of all-time. I enjoyed winning playoff series. I enjoyed the drama of close games in the playoffs. I am appreciative of one of Cleveland teams actually doing well, even though there bumps in the road and some negatives. I choose to remember the positives.
The only real negative is listening to so many of our so-called fans on this board constantly whine about the team.
I saw it years ago. It's some combination of cringy and funny... mostly cringy though.
Hey, I enjoyed these last 4 years of basketball too. The chip was great, probably my favorite sports fan-related memory. I'm under no delusion that the Cavs will compete for another one in the foreseeable future.
It's not going to stop me from giving my honest critique about how good the team was last year or some of the uh.. questionable.. moves that were made along the way.
A. Cavs win total in 2018-2019 B. Browns win total in 2018-2019 X 5

That's a good one actually.. Hopefully Browns * 5.
This might be a good time to point out that the Indians have an 11.5 lead in the division and no other first place team has more than a 1.5 game lead. Best team in baseball obviously
I remember taking my son Edwin (4 years old at the time) to his debut in Cleveland. The CEO of Nike was in the stands watching the game. We have gone to the Q for many years to watch the Cavs and Lebron and he has never disappointed us.
We have been huge Lebron James fans since then. We are thankful that Lebron gave us a championship in 2016 and wish him the best in LA. I have to admit that I wish he had stayed with the Cavs.

Browns. I think this group can get to 6-7. Which I don't think the Cavs next year are a 30-35 win team, especially once guys start to get unloaded (Love, Korver, TT, etc)
I'm actually more optimistic about the Browns than I am pessimistic with the Cavs. I really think they are shaping into a really talented bunch. They just have to put it all together.
You gotta lot of hills to run to in LA. Just remember that comment in the winter. LA's the only place I've ever been to that worry about water droughts, but every nice house has a private pool. Being super rich in LA is living in an entirely new world.
Living in LA when not rich is like an entirely different world also. I have a friend who recently moved here from Ft. Wayne, Indiana and she would never move back.
The best analogy I ever saw was something along the lines of LA = Crappy Heaven NY = fun hell.
he'll make sure they win 10 games this year. Don't you worry. Watching Ty Lue try to create "mismatches" without LeBron will be hysterical.
In all fairness to Ty Lue.. the roster as it is currently constructed has nobody who can create a mismatch.. and it's likely to get even further purged..
Maybe.. MAYBE.. you could run a pick and get Love on a smaller guy on the block.. that's about the only mismatch we could create with this roster.
Love was pretty effective in MN. I think he's soft but if you can use him like they did there you might do ok. Not great but ok. He can't get/stay healthy though.

My problem with Love was that he was so up and down, hot and cold and just overall very inconsistent. He'd make you hate him one night and then make you forget all about it the next game or so. A superstar, as most categorizes/categorized him - has got to play good, if not great, for the majority of the games.
He was absolutely not that type. We'll surely package him up this year and send off.

His touch around the basket is just really really inconsistent. When it's off, it really makes it tough on the rest of his game.
I can see why Lebron would want him in LA though, he's got a great mind about the game.
I don't think he's necessarily soft, he has no problem getting physical, it's just that he gets overpowered by bigger guys, pretty easy. I wouldn't say that's soft.
He’s a 4 and we were playing him at the 5, it wasn’t smart. Love as a 4 and he’d be just fine
Tomorrow is the most important thing in life. Comes into us at midnight very clean. It's perfect when it arrives and it puts itself in our hands. It hopes we've learned something from yesterday. -John Wayne
Another problem with Love: he's a sensitive guy. Lebron made him paranoid IMO .. he wanted SO badly to be perfect and it caused him to regress. Almost like walking on egg shells

So LA fans vandalized LBJ's mural there already huh?
Ouch...
When they fixed the mural they removed 'of' so now it just says "King LA". This is just a reminder on why everyone should ask every Lakers' fan, "What's it like seeing the greatest Laker ever?" Then wait for the fireworks to off.
He will never own LA like Kobe or Magic, nor will the fans ever love him like Cleveland's do.
But, that's his prerogative. He's allowed to play where he desires.

Lebron has, maybe, 5 years left. Going to LA, he is almost expected to win 5 NBA Championships. Anything less is a major disappointment.
What he he doesn't win any? What if the Lebron Lakers don't do any better than a 3-4 seed in his time in LA? What if his team still loses to the Dubs, or maybe to the Rockets?
I still don't see what he gains by going there. I see a potential big hit to his legacy if he fails.

The explanation is a simple one and you even posted one of the ingredients as to why.
His basketball career is getting close to the end. His future career is in the entertainment business. Placing himself in L.A. puts his future interests in the perfect location.
This move was about the long game, not the short game.
Intoducing for The Cleveland Browns, Quarterback Deshawn "The Predator" Watson. He will also be the one to choose your next head coach.
I get that, and he has always said that his decision was about family, and winning .... but what if he doesn't win ..... or winds up even farther away from winning?
Lebron could place himself anywhere for his post basketball future. People come to him, he doesn't go to them.
So, what if he doesn't even make the Finals in LA? Is his legacy damaged?

But the producers and directors are willing to work with him anywhere. Look at his TV producing career already.

Dude, you seriously don't see that there are far more greater opportunities in Hollywood in the entertainment field than anywhere else in the world? Seriously?
If you can't honestly see that then there's no need for further conversation.

I mean, I get how being there helps with getting things going/helping that aspect of his business along...
But what is lost by being outside of LA/Hollywood? Is he losing out on stuff by not being a stone's throw away where the meetings take place? There are people on the entertainment industry that don't live in Hollywood.
"I'll take your word at face value. I have never met you but I assume you have a face..lol"
