What part of "they have a permit" don't you comprehend? Protests are done on public property regularly. You simply need a permit to do what it is you're doing.

The mayor of London has allowed the balloon to fly. He is mad at Trump for holding his country accountable. He doesn't like Trump. That building is not HIS building. That building belongs to the people. We shall see what he decides is appropriate when a counter-protest is requested. (What HE decides.)

In THIS country - where we take down the ten commandments monuments after decades of existing on public property - show me where anyone has obtained a permit to fly a flag, sign or balloon on a public building such as the White House, Pentagon or any other such structure. It doesn't happen...and shouldn't.

Why do you keep harping on this:

"Protests are done on public property regularly. You simply need a permit to do what it is you're doing."

Whodathunkit? Your attempt to draw correlation between obtaining a permit to protest ON public property versus hanging signs/flags/balloons ON public structures is disingenuous at best. Your's is simply an effort to compare apples to oranges.

He named a Senator who was deemed too racist for a federal judgeship to be head of the Justice Department.

He pardoned Joe Arpaio.

He hired Steve Bannon, a guy best known for running Breitbart, a website with a neo-Nazi senior editor that had a "black crime" section

That's 3 from his time in office right there.

What about when he tweeted out a graphic from a white supremacy website that claimed 81% of white homicide victims were killed by blacks? What do you think made him tweet that? Do you think it was racism, or merely overwhelming ignorance?

When he used to call "FOX & Friends" every week and talk about the amazing things his investigate team were finding about Obama being born in Africa, do you think that was just an old crank crying out for attention, or was maybe some racism attached to that?

People tend to fact check much less when a meme says something they want to hear. I see it from both the right and the left on FB all the time.

Odd qualifier. So he was racist before being President, but now that he's President, he's not racist? What about referring to latinxs crossing the border as rapists and murderers? Is that not saying something racist? Does tweeting a made up graphic that makes black people appear more violent racism or just bad fact checking?

You're drowning because you tried to pretend like Trump's racism isn't blatantly obvious and well-documented, so now you're floundering with qualifiers that will fall apart as quickly as your initial premise did.

"What about racist things he's done as president, not as a private citizen?" doesn't really hold up to scrutiny.

I'm not going down your rabbit hole...I'll leave it at this...you believe that Trump deemed 'all Latinos crossing the border to be rapists and murderers'. That didn't happen. I'm not giving you that ground to start on.

The best was him turning "the Justice Department and FBI ran a nearly-decade long investigation that proved conclusively that Trump himself ordered black applicants marked "C" for colored" into "well, as a property owner, I don't trust anything a tenant says".

Willie is correct here. Trump said that some of them, maybe, weren't.

"When Mexico sends its people, they’re not sending their best. They’re not sending you. They’re not sending you. They’re sending people that have lots of problems, and they’re bringing those problems with us. They’re bringing drugs. They’re bringing crime. They’re rapists. And some, I assume, are good people."

Also, I laughed out loud at "I'm not giving you reality as a starting ground, that's not fair to my viewpoint".

More dots that don't connect.

I said - repeatedly - that after 40+ years and dealings with tens of thousands of people...THAT's all you've got. I've been accused of being a racist on this very board by people who don't know anything about me or my behavior. That doesn't make them right and they should be ashamed for ever making that accusation...even though they will not be.

When a court decides to rule against the deep pockets of a conservative in areas of tenancy or employment, I take those rulings with a salt-lick cube of salt.

Now in their hysteria, liberals are connecting anything Trump does or says as being their own divine "proof" that he himself is a racist. The racism card worked so well to squelch debate/disagreement during the Obama reign that such an act is on page 1, line 1 of the liberal handbook.

It was BS then and it's BS now. The difference is that the electorate has caught on...but the liberals have not.

Yeah, I admit that I misremembered and concede that point. He didn't say all. However, I still don't see why he couldn't take another sentence to explain why the second example was not racist.

I was being facetious. Of course it was racist.

He tried to spin "some, I assume, are good people" into "not all".

It's a pretty blatant. Wouldn't even call that one a dogwhistle.

NATO pledges to boost defense spending after stern words from Trump

NATO leaders pledged their “unwavering commitment” to boost defense spending on Wednesday, following stern words from President Trump criticizing European leaders for spending too little.

The U.S. and European allies signed a declaration stating they are “committed to improving the balance of sharing the costs and responsibilities of alliance membership.”

The declaration comes after confrontational and testy discussions between Trump and other NATO leaders.

I was living in Manhattan at the time, and remember a reporter painstakingly try to explain what DNA was to Trump like he was a small child.

After she had kind of driven the point home that it was a pretty valid and irrefutable science, he turned to "well, what do you think they were doing in the park that late at night? They're no angels"

I'm sure this had nothing to do with the 97-2 vote in the Senate sending a strong message to our NATO allies that we stand united with them despite whatever Trump says.

U.S.: Iraq has chemical weapons

NATO: No, they don't

U.S.: They absolutely do. We need to invade them

NATO: They don't, and we don't. Are you sure about this?

U.S.: Not really, but let's do it

NATO: We really don't want to, but OK. We have an agreement, after all

(Iraq is sent into sectarian chaos that results in multiple splinter groups)

U.S.: Welp, we were wrong. You guys gonna pitch in on this, or what?

He doesn't understand what that entails in the slightest.

Any time he rambles on the issue, he talks about "2%" and "delinquency of payments".

(No member is delinquent on payments, and while no one knows exactly what Trump is referring to with "2%", many assume it's his misunderstanding about 2024 payments and how the dispersement is allocated).

Could you explain how I'm wrong?

Are you referring to Trump not understanding the basic details of NATO,how it operates and how it's funded?

Because that's painfully true. Much like in the 1980's when he used to ramble about how Reagan was misguided and weak on NATO and trade, he doesn't really know what he's talking about. It's a child-like view devoid of any real understanding.

He's giving the same mindless rants as he did back then, only slightly less coherent.

And if I'm wrong, what "delinquent payments" is Trump referring to when he rambles incoherently about delinquent payments? Can you name the NATO members in delinquency?

The world is lining up as fast as they can to get in a room with him so they can milk him for all he's worth.

His first international foray was visiting the world's biggest terror state and selling them hundreds of millions in arms because they threw him a party.

He buckled almost immediately, as he does any time someone gives him the faintest of praise he desperately craves.
