It's funny how everyone calls T.O. the diva yet doesn't expect higher standards from the HOF. A player either deserves to be in the Hall or they don't. T.O. deserves it. You're rtight, it looks like the HOF puts their own ego over whether a player has earned the right to be there.

It isn'rt simply the HOF, it's the writers who vote.
I was at TO's ceremony. He told us why he didn't go to Canton. It wasn't because of Canton, it was because of the writers who vote. He said a person should get what they deserve, and when you compare his results against other first time nominations, he deserved.
I was proud to be there. I watched TO play both football and basketball while here in Chattanooga. I was proud he represented our city.
We now have 3 football HOF'ers in Canton...John Hannah and Reggie White played HS ball here. TO played college ball here. All are at the top of their lists. Not bad for a metro area of under 600,000
I believe in what is fair is fair. I don't like politics or personal opinion to jade a vote.
TO deserved to be a first ballot.....just look at the stats, and that is all that counts in HOF voting
