So how long before the rumors that we are a possible destination for Bell next year? Some article with a misleading title, making it sound like there is interest on their side, when all it comes down to is that he will get a big contract and we have a lot of cap space.

Probably next to none with Chubb (which cost a decently high pick) and Duke (recently extended) already here for years to come. Possibly even keep Hyde and have him back next year as' well...

Bell can dig for his money somewhere else.

Selfish player, who thinks his crap don't stink. He is on a perennial playoff team in a system that makes RBs stars. IMO, if he goes elsewhere, he will not be the player he has been. Also, with Haley gone his game could change. Definitely not a team first guy. I hope he sits out a long time and the Steelers grow weary and dump him. Wasn't he suspended once for weed?

I don't think that is fair at all. He is a great RB and receiver. Guys like him, Ben, and AB made Haley look good.

no doubt they are incredible (maybe the best trio in the league). Let's hope we will say the same of Baker/Gordon/Chubb one day

They are. And what's crazy is that the Steeler OL might have been the best in football last year. They have been a top 2 or 3 OL for a few years, but Dallas and Oakland regressed a bit last year.

The Steeler offense is loaded.

And were only talking 3 here ... Juju is a pretty dang good #4 in the pecking order ...

Don’t feel like thinking but there more than likely by far the best 4 deep also ...

Damm ... never really looked at it that way ...

It was a bit mystifying that they were in so many close games last year. Seven of their last nine within 5 points. A mere 30 points takes them from 13-3 to 6-10.

But yeah, the trio is deadly... and as soon as you think you have it on lock - there's Juju! flamingmad

the Steelers offensive unit is crazy good .. one of the best I've seen in the NFL

Lets not forget his position group...RB he's just about reached his limits of hits. I think its all downhill from here...keep in mind the hill he has built is amazing so he will be good for a couple of seasons. I can't wait for our new LB Kendricks to put on some licks there. I also believe the entire NFL community are going to be shocked at our Browns as we pass these teams by this year...man it can't get here fast enough!

While there would be no truth to it because as has been mentioned, with the extension of Duke and the drafting of Chubb there would be no desire for Bell here, the talk will come down to teams that have the available cap space to sign him. We do qualify as one of those teams.

With the creation of the NFL Network, they sometimes seem desperate to fill air space so you can bet it will at least be mentioned.

Intoducing for The Cleveland Browns, Quarterback Deshawn "The Predator" Watson. He will also be the one to choose your next head coach.

I hope Bell holds out. It surely would help our chances come opening day. Not even sure when we last had an opening win...

I liked Jeff Garcia. He got done dirty in Cleveland. He was a pretty damn good qb.

I actually think that he is the best pro comparison for Baker. Not Manziel. Not Brees. Not R. Wilson. But, Jeff Garcia.

If he can be as good as Garcia was in his best years, it will turn out to be a pretty good pick.

Yes that does seem like an easy thing to remember and suppress deep into the subconscious.

hats off to Lampdogg! Great job!

Reallt good question. Truly pathetic answer. Is it still OK to win the opener?

The first and last opener I attended.

Ravens vs Browns 2004 we pretty much controlled the day. Was comped tickets by Paul Zuk and met his father and fiance. Was sitting right behind ohhhh, LBs family.

Beautiful sunny day. Bad experience after the game at the muni lot...so much so that I have not returned to Cleveland since then

I wouldn't be surprised if Le'Veon ended up with the Browns next year, especially with Haley being there. Sad that he couldn't come to terms with the Steelers. He will definitely be there week 1 vs the Browns.

I would be extremely shocked if he did.

John Dorsey has said that he believes that RBs can be found outside the 1st round of the draft. He found Hunt in what .. the 3rd or 4th round?

I just don't see him spending $15-20 million/year on a RB.

I dont think we'd have interest in Bell .. we just drafted Chubb and signed Duke ... they will be our future 1-2 backs IMO

I started to like this post, but then realized, it's not the post I like,
it's the fact you feel this way that I like.

Can Deshaun Watson play better for the Browns, than Baker Mayfield would have? ... Now the Games count.

The best part of that story ... he went undrafted and went to the CFL and played there ... no clue if it was a game or 3 years .... then finally the Niners took a chance and signed him after Bill Walsh practically BEGGED them to do it ... and this is after Walsh contacted MULTIPLE NFL TEAMS and told them to draft Garcia cause he was going to be really really good .... he BEGGED the Niners then to draft him ...

NO ONE LISTENTED TO BILL frickin WALSH about a QB ... the man who found Kenny Anderson and had earned so much respect from Paul Brown that he drafted Anderson site unseen ... and that may have been the only pick Brown made site unseen ... he was a control freak ... the fact he even let Walsh have input was unusaul ... Brown pretty much always did everything himself ..

Then Walsh found Joe in rnd 3 and then had Young waiting in the wings ... how in the hell do u not listen to him on a qb ... if bill Walsh calls ... i gotta go see the kid and if i see nuttin the first time i keep going back til i do ... or i talk myself into the fact that Bill Walsh is the gold standard when it comes to QB’s and even if i can’t see it ... i’m Gonna go ahead and let Bill frickin Walsh over rule me on this one ... thumbsup

Walsh’s connection to Garcia was from college ... Walsh may have coached him or coached against him ... knew him very well and loved him either way ..

He did get hosed here ... he was the best qb we’ve had since our return and he never was really given a chance ...

Not bashing, Eve. Just not much chance to start with. And way too many wolves, way too soon. He may prove able later, but he paid through the nose last season.

I don't see him in a Browns uniform next year or any year. He's 27, and RB's don't have the shelf life some of the other positions do. He's also a prima donna and I believe the Browns are trying to build a team that is cohesive. He's taking a chance that he won't sustain an injury that ends his career before he gets his payday.
