lmao that was funny. He had a few decent throws, but honestly Baker looks much more prepared (as he should).
I also saw Lamar Jackson. He is SO athletic. A little erratic and out of control. But he'll sit for a while

Austin Davis played for Seattle as well. I saw him throw a pick in the end zone

Put that defensive lineman back in the 3 point stance.

#Redskins RB Derrius Guice, who injured his knee last night, received an initial diagnosis of a sprained MCL, source said. He’ll have an MRI to confirm.

That corner that got absolutely smokeed, though...
There is no level of sucking we haven't seen; in fact, I'm pretty sure we hold the patents on a few levels of sucking NOBODY had seen until the past few years.
looks like rest of the AFC North looked strong in their opening games. Landry Jones might be the best backup.in the NFL. Schuster picked up.from where he left off. Joe Mixon put a Play Station move on the Bears
Guice will be out a few weeks ... and he looked goood

Guice out for the year; torn ACL. Tough break for them and him

Darnold matches Baker in the first half .. very impressive

lamar looked great when I saw just a little bit of that game. Really a package of skills. Better take advantage of him early; the far side of his NFL learning curve suggests he ends up scary.

I thought Darnold looked very poised last night ... a pretty similar feel to when I watched Mayfield to be honest

I thought Darnold looked very poised last night but I give the better performance to Mayfield because he was able to push the ball downfield often and accuratly. Darnold's passes consisted of mostly dink and dunk. I only saw a few completetions past 10 yards and none past 15. I'm not saying he can't but that is something he is going to need to show he can do at this level.
the other thing I noticed: Darnold's OL was much better than Baker's. I don't know if it's just their 2nd string OL is better than ours, they left some starters in, or a combination. But he had little pass rush.

What you look for early in a quarterbacks career is: poise. Can they slow the game down? Can they control getting overly excited and just play the game.
Do they try and make plays that are not there which then result in turnovers and forced errors. "Flipper" moves.
Both Mayfield and Darnold looked composed. They looked prepared and didn't get rattled.
Good starts by both players.
I saw Allen. He made some good throws but he forced some things and got away with some errors. Pretty typical for rookies. His arm strength is and has been impressive.
Curious to see Rosen tonight. I expect him to do well.
“To announce that there must be no criticism of the President, or that we are to stand by the President, right or wrong, is not only unpatriotic and servile, but is morally treasonable to the American public.”
All the QBs taken in the first round had a pretty good game except him.
Obviously we can’t judge based on preseason (supposedly), but Rosen kinda looked like Glennon. He flashed some arm talent, had one good throw where he moved in the pocket nicely, but overall it was...meh.

Arizona's OL with Rosen was an abomination, so it's tough to get a look of him.
Based on ONE week of preseason (LOL) I'd rank them as:
Darnold Mayfield Rosen Jackson
With Darnold/Mayfield basically tied.

I am curious as to why you have Darnold in the Lead? I thought he had a decent game, and one really great TD throw, but other than that, he dinked and dunked. 18 pass attempts for less than 100 yards is so so at best.
What did you see that put him ahead of Mayfield?

To me, they were about even ... I would say that Darnold made more "pocket" throws and was a tad more relaxed in there (not as fast w/his feet) ... And yes, Baker made some nice plays on the move, but so did Darnold (his TD was nice)
Putting them 1 and 2 should actually be 1 and 1 honestly

I thought Mayfield and Jackson both flashed big play ability, Mayfield with command of the middle of the field and accuracy and Jackson with his legs. Darnold and Rosen didn't flash anything to me. They were poised in the pocket yes but Darnold was check down charlie all night, he didn't complete a pass much over 10 yards. Bridgewater looked much better for the Jets, he was slinging it lights out.
2nd year QB Chad Kelly (Jim Kelly's son) looked good for the Broncos. Man, he hung in and got crushed, but made one heck of a throw for a TD.
