somehow, the people are expected to act better than the ones hired to do the actual job.
Perhaps if the people doing the hiring aspired to act better than those who represent them, maybe we'd a) get a better quality representative and b) be more inclined to take action when those who are supposed to represent us disgrace what they were hired to do. There's a blind spot in focusing so much on how other people should act and being held to a "higher standard" that it subconsciously lowers the standards for ourselves, at least on large, political scales. i agree, and have repeatedly stated that. people have to vett better. but maybe we should add some standards on top of that. like a little bit more requirements to run than just being 35 years old and a naturalized citizen? I wouldn't be opposed to the idea. It would be interesting to see what people propose.

Some people are so blinded by hatred that it clouds their judgment. Many of them don't realize it, although some do and carry on anyway. I'm sure I've been one of them at some point.
I don't think there is a solution for this unfortunately.

I’m glad you set the standard though. Imma start posting all the racist ass comments on Fox News, since the comment sections counts as mainstream media now. Twitter aint the MSM...yes you are right....but when your internet news feed leads with articles about the Twitter reaction...and cherry pick the reactions that are aint Trump....then yea by default twitter and the twits that use it become defacto MSM.

And yet there it is. The blind man at the strip club again. You see, the blind man hears how great the strip club is. Yet when he goes there, his experience is that the drinks cost too much and he doesn't see what all of the excitement is about. The reason he doesn't get the full experience is because he can't see it.Trump surrounds himself by a bunch of crooks, has the morals of an alley cat and the rope is being squeezed slowly around his neck. The difference between the blind man and Trump supporters are simple. The blind man can't see but Trump supporters refuse to see. Another difference is they blame their blindness on others by saying the others are filled with hate when actually those others just have 20/20 vision.
