Anyone else hate NBC shading the first down area?

Who is #59 for Atlanta? He's lining up all over the place. Stop on the wing rightbside, run stop on the left, next play lines up middle backer, then over right tackle and wins there.

really annoying

"First down inside the 10. A score here will put us in the Super Bowl. Cooper is far to the left as Njoku settles into the slot. Moore is flanked out wide to the right. Chubb and Ford are split in the backfield as Watson takes the snap ... Here we go."

I don't even like the first down or scrimmage line overlays.

That's De'Vondre Campbell.

Be cool to see the lineman check in as receiver in the red zone or the Refrigerator Perry fullback blast.

I was gonna say it's nice to see the trend of guys putting SR on their jersey ran its course, but then I saw Sanu SR.

Man what has changed with that ATL offense since Shanny left? They still move the ball, butt don't seem to have that killer instinct.

NBC has been using PFF for several years. I think I know why (besides the fact that most of the teams use PFF):

So Collinsworth owns PFF? Guess you learn something new every cliche.

These roughing the passer calls are making the game unwatchable.

#59 Campbell shadowing Ertz now. Did that on third in red zone last possession as well.

This happened at the game I went to a few weeks back. Everyone around me thought it wasn't roughing the passer. Not anymore.

LINK

Here's an article where NFL players erupted over Twitter (more clips of the hit too).

Unreal.

I like that look to help disguise your D. Identify the threat (Ertz) and have a guy shadow him in man (Campbell). Especially if he motions a lot like Philly does with Ertz. Ertz motions across the line and gets followed making qb think man, but you could run a zone behind it and maybe work the receiver into a double team or fool the qb into making the wrong read presnap throwing off his progression, forcing a bad throw, or allowing the rush extra time to reach the passer.

That is crazy. The link you gave provided the rule. It did state during the throwing motion, but also stipulated unnecessarily land on the qb. There was no way that rusher could have rolled off Daniel in mid air. It was during the throwing motion, but not unnecessary.

Foles is throwing some serious ducks...

They did say it did rain... so wonder if the wet ball is affecting him.

Lots of inaccuracy or balls that look funky coming out of his hand.

It's what I mean about disguise presnap. Campbell lines up over Ertz making Foles think man. Hertz stays in and Campbell drops to flat, left receiver runs post with a crossover from the right. Foles thinking man thinks corner will follow the post and leave the crossover uncovered, but his presnap assessment didn't jive with the postsnap D. Corner stays disciplined and is in position to break up the pass.

Philly needs to pound the rock a little bit and gets the D thinking about gap assignments.
