Good. Your absence will be conducive to adult conversation.
Also, 40, um, uh, not that there's anything wrong with that, but, no.

No, he does asexual reproduction. When he gets old, a part of him breaks off and forms a new Nelson.

You are certainly to feel that way, but you would be incorrect.
Several posters have found the discussion useful and informative.
A few have used it for other purposes.
I have used it for reasons of my own, which have been partially explained. You can go through the thread yourself, and identify which respondents have been a waste of space. See the number of total misquotes, mistaken assumptions, aspersions, insults, and attacks made, and judge for yourself the usefulness of those involved.
For a single point, the number who choose to attempt to assert a position of knowledge, while having no clue, is about what I thought it would be.
The number of people who found the original problem a simple one to solve was unfortunately lower than anticipated.

You are certainly to feel that way, but you would be incorrect. That is a peculiar sentence for a person who claims to have superior intelligence. For a single point, the number who choose to attempt to assert a position of knowledge, while having no clue, is about what I thought it would be.
The number of people who found the original problem a simple one to solve was unfortunately lower than anticipated.
I'll maintain that this thread was created for all the wrong reasons. You come across as a pretend intellectual who uses haughty speech and hurls generalities at the masses, which is nothing more than a grade school attempt of deflection and desperately trying to put oneself in a positive light. A facade can be useful. It can look good. It can deceive the eye. However, it crumbles instantly at the first sign of force.

Well, amazingly enough, I sometimes get tired when typing.
For someone who has been lording his own knowledge over all others for decades, I find your presence here passing judgement to be curious, at best.
I am not attacking you, I am not ganging up on you, I am just telling you I disagree with your opinion. I have been discounting your statements for years because of your own consistent, repeated, obvious bias and agenda which colors and affects everything you say. I will add here that I believe you have useful knowledge about the game I would prefer to access. What I can only describe as a severe degree of emotional instability makes it difficult to separate the real football from the angry dismissal of other's opinions.
Some people made a legit effort to participate in the discussion. Some made a real effort to grapple with the concepts involved. Many approached it from different angles. Many showed confusion and uncertainty in areas I could perhaps have explained better. Actual communication took place.
At least one found the initial statement to be clear, concise, easy to understand, and the problem straightforward and fairly simple. One and ONE ONLY. Many years ago, there were many more such people posting here. Nowadays, that number has dramatically decreased. This is reflected in the general population, but is at least partly a media concern.
However, many others made no effort to participate, grapple, request clarification, or communicate. They simply attacked. They felt threatened, and they responded with fear, anger, and hatred. They had no interest in communication, gaining understanding, or holding a rational, adult discussion. The number of such people posting here, and in society at large, has gotten larger. Also, people who witch, whine, moan, and complain get far more media attention than those actually addressing real problems and concerns and attempting to correct them.
That is three very distinct and different categories of action. 2 of these I find useful and worthwhile. The third is worse than useless, gets nobody anywhere, and finds no solutions.
Each individual gets to decide whether they wish to conduct their affairs in a manner to receive more approvals from total strangers, or directed towards dealing with their own lives with the goal of improving their own personal and family experiences.

What mgh said.
the people on the ship get there in 20 years, but the people back home where the ship originated won't see that they arrived for another 20 after that, since it will take 20 years from the time of arrival for the light to travel back to the origin.

Let's try another one.. just because.
Swish drives downtown. He's ready to let it rip. However, he gets stuck behind a pair of semi trucks and is forced to drive 60 mph while screaming at the stupid *)(#$#&)s in front of him for the entire stretch of freeway. The freeway is far less congested on the way back (same route) and he sets his cruise control at 90 the whole time, much to his relief.
What was Swish's average freeway speed?
A. 69 mph B. 72 mph C. 75 mph D. 78 mph

Based purely on the facts you stated, and the question you asked: c - 75 mph.

Go ahead and make one. I'm sure I'll participate-- it beats the same old back and forth arguments that we normally see in this forum. Maybe make the thread after we get a consensus on the question I asked above. Go ahead and kick it off.

here's a math problem for you and Haus.
Swish needs weed for an epic road trip(not driving, riding shotgun for you moral soldiers), from cleveland ohio to LA, California. the distance between the two cities is 2,343 miles. Swish normally packs a bowl that hold .4 grams per bowl. and one bowl will have swish baked for 2 hours. However, Swish decides NOT to smoke in states where it is fully illegal along the trip. the average speed is 75 mph
So, if swish smokes a bowl every two hours, how much weed must Swish purchase in order to have enough round trip? answer must be in ounces.

Don't they need to know which states you'll be going through in order to accurately calculate when you'll be smoking and when you won't? and if you're really going on this trip, what takes you out there?

it will take all of 30 seconds to look at a map and see which states are fully illegal or not.
if im going on a road trip, that means im taking a vehicle, averaging 75 mph.

So, if swish smokes a bowl every two hours, how much weed must Swish purchase in order to have enough round trip? answer must be in ounces. For maths/entertainment purposes only: An eighth. (of an ounce) That's less than expected. Here's the fuzzy math: Cleveland to LA is indeed 2,343 miles via I-80 W (Google Maps). This Business Insider map shows Ohio and Illinois as having legal medical marijuana, and Colorado, Nevada, and California having legal recreational marijuana. It's illegal in Indiana, Iowa, Nebraska, and Utah. Rather than calculate the distance spent in each state, I just used 1,200 miles of legal-if-going-by-state-law driving. 1,200 miles at 75 mph is 16 hours of driving, at 2 hours apiece this is 8 bowls, 0.4g per bowl means 3.2g weed or 0.11 ounces. Then round up to an eighth for practical purposes and to cover any edge cases (e.g. soon entering a state where it's illegal but having smoked an hour earlier, this would give you the option of topping off, that kind of thing.)

That’s why you’re my boy, Haus.
But the answer is always: buy an ounce just in case.

Thanks. And I just caught the round trip thing (reading is hard.) So make it a quarter ounce... two ounces just in case.

Here's one: It's Sunday and the Browns are about to play. You have previously invited your best friend, his girlfriend and they're bringing along a blind date for you. Being the Playboy-reader you are, you understand that any good host has things for their guest. Not wanting to be a bad host, you look into your drug locker You have 1 strip of acid (dosed at 200 ul/hit), 1 oz of mj (ghost OG to be specific), 7 mollys, 10 xans, 3/8ths of mushrooms, and a jar full of adderall. You look in your kitchen and find 4 beers and half a bottle of red wine, from your last pot luck.
If you and your guests wanted to see the Browns play a watchable and enjoyable game, which drugs are left at the end of the game? :v

I’ll except the math theoretically speaking. But nothing is stationary for 40 years. Actually nothing is ever stationary. The actual time could be extended years due to the fact all matter is expanding in the universe. If you believe in science that is.
