I’m completely torn on that roughing call

Yeah, the Bills are absolutely terrible.

A number of Jets defenders said they knew what plays the Lions were going to run based on formation and Stafford hand signals. Allowed them to jump routes, get five picks. https://twitter.com/DanWetzel/status/1039351099721957376

Based on this half of football we should all be trying to pick up Jared Cook in fantasy (if he's available).

Gruden's gameplan has been great so far.
(I was typing this and then they started talking about it on the broadcast.)
The weak spot of the Rams defense is their linebackers. He has been attacking them all game.

I was unabashedly a Darnold fan going into the draft. I screamed curses for 2 minutes when the Browns drafted Mayfield (my poor dog thought I was mad at her.)
Not that I didn't think Mayfield would be a good NFL QB (my problem with Mayfield was maturity), but nothing about his first game as a pro has dissuaded me from believing Darnold is going to be a superstar. Oh well, what's done is done.

This is Nathan Peterman's career statline:
29/67 (43% completion), 276 yards, 2 TDs, 7 INTs, QB rating of 25.7.
Yesterday he attempted 1.3 yards per pass.

I don't know if anyone has mentioned it, but the Rams are freaking loaded w/talent. They could win it all if they can mesh.

I’m wondering how the Lions rate as an NFL team ... ... Them and the Jills should play every week ... this way none of the rest of us have to watch either of them .. *L* ..

And according to there GM (i think it was there GM) they went after Mack hard .. think they offered the two firsts also .... If we got Mack it would have been unfair .. if the Lambs got him it would have been unfair to infinity .. *LOL* ...

Lions defense has the makings of being historically bad this year

Sportscenter just reported that the jets wide receivers averaged 4.1 yards of separation. 2nd most of the week. They didn't say who was #1.
They said Darnold only made 1 pass all game into a "tight window" which they defined as less than 1 yard of separation.

See my sig.
Darnold passed the eye test. He wasn't my number one choice, but I am not going to turn a blind eye to how well he played.

I was saying this since 2017.

Not trying to take away anything from what he did. Just adding perspective.
1, he had a lot of easy throws against bad defense. 2, he did a really good job of finding the open receiver.
I wonder what our average yards of separation was? Both for the Pittsburgh game and for last season. It always feels like our Wr's are perpetually well covered with an occasional fluke blown coverage.
Am I perfect? No Am I trying to be a better person? Also no

I was saying this since 2017. We will regret passing on Darnold for a long long time.

We will rejoice for taking Ward for a long, long time. Agree. He looks like a real play maker with great instincts in the secondary. That first interception where he came off his man and picked Big Ben was a veteran play made by a rookie in his first game was phenomenal.

Yep. Fast, smart, tough, fundamentally sound, instinctual, great closing speed. Dude is going to be a top corner in this league.
I need to text Prime Time and get him on Ward's bandwagon. LOL

The Falcons lost Deion Jones and Keanu Neal, two of their most important defensive players. They might take a nosedive this year.

I was saying this since 2017. I liked Darnold two years ago, but Mayfield changed my mind. I think he will be a better starter for us. Only time will tell. Darnold is going to be good too I think.

Once Ansah hurt his shoulder, Detroit basically had no pass rushers on the DL. Not a good recipe for success in a passing league. I'd want to see Darnold handle more pressure before getting too excited as a Jets fan.

Bills are going with Josh Allen this Sunday at home against the Chargers, per @mortreport. A move they had to make. Couldn't go back to Peterman again https://twitter.com/BenVolin/status/1039882440821628929

If there was ever a QB that needed to sit. . . i get it. there was no way they could continue trotting Nathan out there.

I agree. The Bills should have never traded Taylor. They then compounded the problem by trading McCarron. Everyone knew that Allen needed time to develop, just like rational people understand that Baker needs to sit.
The Browns are playing it smart. The Bills are not.
