Our offense looks good to me ... our defense needs some work
"First down inside the 10. A score here will put us in the Super Bowl. Cooper is far to the left as Njoku settles into the slot. Moore is flanked out wide to the right. Chubb and Ford are split in the backfield as Watson takes the snap ... Here we go."

The national media and some classless fans can resort to unsavory tactics in order to try and derail us, but Buckeye Nation cannot be defeated.
Some thoughts on the game:
--Haskins makes quicker reads than past qbs. He doesn't hold the ball at all.
--He is also pretty accurate and he can zip it.
--Webber looks quicker this year.
--We have 4 stud RBs.
--Our WRs are pretty quick.
--P. Campbell is lightening fast, but his routes look sloppy. He's unpolished.
--Our DL got some good pressure.
--Nick Bosa might be as good as Joey...and maybe even better.
--Our secondary scares me.
--LBers were not impressive either.
--We also lost contain too often, especially on the defensive left side.
--The most important thing is that football is back and I'm lovin' it.

Overall good game... Haskins looks legit... still early... I'll quit until we see a real defense... some sloppiness at times... especially on defense and special teams... lots of guys got to play which was nice... game never in doubt... which was nice... one more warm up before we get a chance to see what we really have this year

Buckeyes favored by 12 over Rutgers 12 Field Goals. Hey, Rutgers beat Texas State 35-7 last week. Bobcats must be real good.

Man, Haskins sucks. Only 5 TD passes last year, and 3 this week in just over a quarter. We gotta find someone better!

Looks like that last sack attack injured their QB. That poor guy was getting harassed all game pretty much. #67 I believe (the big guy in the middle) and bosa have been overpowering.

Yeah, I posted in the other thread that I hate seeing a kid get hurt, especially on the last play of a half. I hope he's gonna be OK.

I know I missed most of the game, but why can't I ever find a listing for what channel Ohio State football is on on DirecTV? I did a search on the box. Can't find that game.
I did an Internet search. Can't find it and I can find just about anything. Anyone know what channel it's usually on on DirecTV? This is frustrating. Thanks.

Just google College football on TV. ESPN's is the easiest to read.

The game:
--Haskins is very accurate when he has time. Much better than JT and others.
--Haskins has been .getting a lot of time. Man, the OL looks good.
--The DL has multiple studs.
--The RBs are awesome.
--Our WRs are looking so good.
--The LBers concern me a bit, but I'm hoping a couple of the younger guys step forward.
--The secondary played better today. We'll see as we move forward.
--Gotta go w/the white dude as the punt returner. The other guy can't catch the ball. Keeps misjudging it.
--Our team speed is incredible.
--I am not sure how good this team will be, but we are loaded w/talent. Maybe the best in the nation. Gotta come together on the field.

Haskins is so much fun to watch. Throws a really nice ball. Sees the whole field. With the running game looking really promising with Weber and Dobbins, I don't know if there is a team in the Big Ten that can stop them. Long way to go obviously, but there is so much talent on the field it's sickening.
Nick Bosa will be gone in the first 2 or 3 picks come April, my goodness.
At this time next year, we'll probably be saying the same about Chase Young.
Rutgers is awful and has no business being in the Big Ten. There are 2 or 3 MAC programs that could put up a better showing than what Rutgers can. I get that it's about more than just football, but c'mon.
Big tip of the cap to Ryan Day for handling this whole thing unbelievably well. This guy will probably earn a job at a pretty good program in the future. The kids seem to love this guy.
Next week should be fun!

No doubt about Bosa and Haskins. IMO they're two of the best players in the country right now

We will get abetter idea of that against the Horned Frogs, I believe. Has been impressive so far, which is as it should be.

The Buckeyes haven't played Texas Christian since 1973. That's kinda cool. The Horned Frogs are #16 in the country.

I enjoy each victory despite who we are playing. It's fun to win games and as a Brown's fan, I will never take winning for granted.

In this third game, I hope to see serious offensive efficiency. I love our defensive line work, but I am concerned about the secondary. I haven't seen all of the two games, so I want us to serve notice on TCU. And I am a fan of TCU. But not for this one.
