He also cost us a OT win last year in Miami by MISSING ANOTHER!@
Not to speak of LAST WEEK!~
That was Cody Parkey in 2016. We didn't even play Miami last year.
For what it's worth, since then. Parkey has since gone 24/26 on FG attempts and 28/31 on XP attempts, including 15/17 from over 30 yards.
Which is exactly why you don't cut kickers after a bad game.
Zane lost two games this year.
He also was pretty bad last year, and cost a few. He will be cut in 24 hours.
I disagree that he lost the Steelers game. The offense was a much bigger issue, and his kick was blocked, from what I've heard, because the Browns didn't change up the snap count and thus Watt was able to get in there. That isn't on Zane.
And what game did he lose last year, and how was he "pretty bad" at all?
The only game you could make a case that Gonzalez lost last year was against the Jets in which he missed two in a three point loss.
Other games he missed? Miss one in a 30-16 loss. Missed one (and an extra point) in a 33-16 loss. Missed one in a 31-7 loss.
That's it. Outside of the New York game, he hit everything else. And in that New York game, he missed both FGs in the first quarter with the scores at 0-0.
So what "few" did he actually cost? And how was he "pretty bad"?
I get we're mad at the kid, but don't just make stuff up.
