I was thinking about something for awhile. A couple of years ago when the Tribe made it to the World Series against the Cubs, Tito was making a ton of aggressive moves. He bunted. He hit behind the runner. He stole bases. He used the hit and run. His pitching decisions in-game were freaking masterful.
Last year, he wasn't doing a lot of that. We went back to playing like every other boring team.
I'm watching the Sox/Yanks game and they were talking about how Boston is running more, bunting more, playing more small ball.
I get casual viewers love home runs and strikeouts, but us baseball guys like small ball. It's far more exciting. I'm hoping the trend reverts back to the days of small ball. We all know these things are cyclical.
I'll start watching again. I really, really miss watching baseball.

At one point when I was thinking "bunt!", Verlander had a no-hitter going, and I was thinking about that stupid unwritten rule about not bunting to break up a no-no. Screw that! We needed baserunners. I don't care about Verlander's no-hit aspirations. Lay one down, dammit! Hey man, all is fair in the post-season. That rule would never offend anyone unless you were down by 5 in the 8th with the no-no intact.

Nice to see him come back to life. He had a rough September hitting only .226 or so. 9 of his 27 hits were home runs though.

After Kluber's rough outing yesterday, Carrasco has really picked the team up with his first 5 innings. Carlos would be the ace on a lot of teams in MLB.
