And that 94 yard drive was just that.
Intoducing for The Cleveland Browns, Quarterback Deshawn "The Predator" Watson. He will also be the one to choose your next head coach.

And that 94 yard drive was just that. oh that was for sure .. i'm not sure about playing soft zone to allow PSU to get to midfield and then James Franklin's boneheaded use of timeouts, the awful 4th down play, and them inexplicably not going for 2. BUT, i agree with you.

I smell a trap. I think its Purdue. In any event, they can't allow any mental letdown week-to-week. I'll be interested to see how our corners do with covering Rondale Moore.

No one will be able to outscore the Buckeyes, especially an upstart trying to get a bowl bid. I say that because the Buckeyes have been caught napping before and I don;t think they will let that happen again ... JMHO

Our coaching was relentlessly poor last night. So was some play selection. The offensive calls to the middle when all packed in was a badd. But our passing was horrible almost all night. Come to the game ready to play ball.

And PSU's coaching might have been worse

JMHO You would think, with a lot of these kids having played last season, that they would keep that Iowa game fresh in their minds. To be fair, Iowa played one hell of a game that day, but conference road games, especially as they get later on in the season, can surprise a lot of people.

I understand your statement. It's valid on its face. Where I see it differently is the Buckeyes eventually adjusted by implementing the screen pass game which was the exact counter to all of their pressure.

I wish you were in our conference, too.
You constantly slam Ohio State and the Big 10. Yet, when we play you guys, we wipe the field w/you. Last year you were talking about how awful the Big 10 was and then didn't say a peep when the Big went out and dominated the bowl games.

I agree w/you that it was our coaching staff who made the in-game adjustments that helped us secure the victory. The screen passes were huge in not only offsetting Penn State's rush, but also they led to huge plays.

The Buckeyes will not lose again they have 4-5 star talent all over the field, a lot of new guys that need some experience before the playoffs, I can see this team battling Alabama for the title, if it were today we would lose but by then we CAN WIN /... JMHO

PSU was over pursuing ALL NIGHT. The only reason they were even in the game was because they went AWAY from the screen game for 2 quarters.
Q2 and Q3, no counters, no traps, no screens and we sucked.
Q4, you saw all three and we won. Slow, stubborn adjustments.

I agree with that. No defense can be strong everywhere at once. Our coaches found the outside edge and we executed. Loved the win, but there needs to be improvement. I do believe we won in part because of the coaching. Still, that may have been too harsh. But our O stunk it up first half overall IMO.

OSU will be favored in every game until the playoffs... but they could still lose... MSU could surprise us... UM is always tough... big ten championship should be tough.... but we've gotten by the two hardest teams on paper...

Wisconsin is always a challenge ... that's who we'd probably play in the title I think

Ohio State vs Indiana (4:00 FOX) ... should be a rout

Dwayne Haskins now at 455 passing yards for the game. Just three short of Art Schlichter's single game mark. DO IT URBAN. Welp. https://twitter.com/11W/status/1048721686021984256

we need to pick it up cause our defense most of the game looked like crap.

Some thoughts on the game: --Our linebackers are pretty slow. --Our secondary is inexperienced. --We give up too many big plays. --The DL is good. --The D plays better as the game progresses. --Our offense is pretty damn good. --Haskins makes good reads and is accurate. --We don't have a superstar WR, but we have a ton of very good receivers. It's incredible. --Our RBs are very, very good. They run, they catch, the even block. --Need more from the TEs. --The OL is huge. They can mash people. --Special teams are improving. --I hope Urban didn't get a concussion. --We still are in play for the playoffs.

Obviously we should win the BIG .. but our defense is NOT what it has been in the past

We gave up m317 yards in the 1st half but only 89 in the second half this defense is still growing they will be fine, and we do miss Bosa ...

i can see us going undefeated heading into the playoffs. this year i really believe we're back in it.
but everything you listed about the defense is a massive concern. We need Bosa back, because while our D line is good, we need more pressure than what we're generating, and its allowing guys to break huge yards on our secondary.
we're something like near the bottom in the FBS with allowing plays 20, 30, 40 + yards.

Good news: we'll get Bosa back for Michigan, Wisconsin, and the playoffs

They can mash people. --Special teams are improving. --I hope Urban didn't get a concussion. --We still are in play for the playoffs. I'm kinda hoping at some point the defense comes together. We've seen it in the past where they don't look great in sep/oct, but when November rolls around, the defense is playing at a high level. They have a chance to win the whole thing if that happens. If they are going to continuously give up chunk plays like they have, it's gonna crash and burn. That offense is something special though. The good thing is, with Bosa back late in the year, the emergence of Chase Young, if the offense can continue to pressure by putting up points, that'll force teams to make big plays, and your defensive line should eat, and eat big. And I know Michigan State looks awful so far this year, I still think that's an important game. We all know how Mark Dantonio can rally the troops. Even in a lost year, he can get his guys up to play a big game against a big opponent. I hope they don't take the game lightly, because it can fall apart there, and despite it being unbelievably stupid, losing late hurts more than losing in September (unless of course you're Alabama)

College gameday in ichigan, hey ichigan. You were the only BiG 10 team to lose a bowl game last year, and you send nothing but trashy people to the Lake Erie Islands, thanks.
We should give ichigan to Canada.
