It's funny that our DC unloaded Shelton and Meder and traded size for speed and yet our run defense has been pretty solid until this week.
I don't think our Run def has been solid at all. I disagree. We are creating turnovers on Def, as far as yardage, we give it up and we give it up a lot.

No offense taken.

I guess I am commenting more on perspective. You care comparing him to drew brees, I am comparing his reads and progressions to other rookies. I absolutely think that at this point in his career he is going through them "quickly". Compare them to Darnold or Allen, hes lightening fast, compare to the leader passer of all time, he might be a touch slower smile

With our depleted receiver corp, we might start to see him play more. He has even played wide in the past.

After throwing his QB under the bus like he did last year, Devalve will never amount to much.

He did what an average WR can't ever do. Maybe be a blocking TE, catching balls, no QB will ever trust him.

J/c:

I've seen a couple mentions of Baker needing to speed up going through his progressions, but I'm not entirely sure that's the issue. I think sometimes he moves on just before the WR breaks free. For example there was a play where Callaway stumbled making his break, but recovered and was open downfield. It looked like Baker moved off of him on the initial stumble. I also think in some cases he's just not on the same page as his receivers. On the 4th down incompletion towards Landry, Landry sat down in triple coverage when he had space deeper to the outside where Baker threw it. Hot reads in response to blitzes also appear to be an issue. I'm not sure if those are on the young receivers or young QB, though. Probably some of both. Baker didn't see much in the Big12 that resembles the Defenses he is seeing now. Being able to tie his progressions with correctly diagnosing the D, and having his pass catchers on the same page is going to take some time.

During other games, you'll hear commentary about a receiver seeing the game like a QB. I think Higgins was the closest we had to that. Our more athletic young receivers would appear to have a fair ways to go in that regard. Hopefully Hollywood is back soon.

Not sure what you are talking about, but even then, he didn't throw Bake under a bus.

I don't think that Bake has some loyalty to kiser, or whoever you are talking about.

I don't think Bake cares.

You are wrong, some lines you don't cross ever. Qb's are a fraternity, they care...

Seth was done after saying what he did of Kizer... you do not do that, EVER.

Of course Baker doesn't care. Neither does Haley, one would hope.
