Not only did he pay Forbes to inflate his wealth, but he was caught on audio tape calling Forbes writers pretending to be his own assistant, "John Barron", to give them false numbers regarding his wealth.

Why on Earth would you provide two links to the one source that has publicly proven to be utterly false and call it a "respected media outlet"?

Here's the author of the source Arch cited twice calling it a complete lie:

Yeah, I really don't understand why arch chose Forbes for his argument.

It doesn't take a genius or even someone well-informed to see that the guy involved in penny-ante licensing and fraud intended to rip off veterans and impoverished elderly people isn't a billionaire, but talk about barking up the wrong tree.

The article is literally titled "Trump lied to me about his wealth to get onto the Forbes 400. Here are the tapes." and it's written by the source arch cited to claim Trump is a billionaire.

Well, maybe Donald has met his match. Taking on a porn star and a "third rate lawyer" as he puts it. Stormy has had many more disgusting things than mud slung her way and Avenatti seems to enjoy getting down in the gutter.

You are correct. Stormy has had more than mud slung her way.

Tell me, what cases has avanatti won? Tell me, how much does avanatti owe?

Tell me, what case does Stormy have now, since her defamation case got thrown out of court?

Oh, she has the non disclosure agreement thing.........which she disclosed. I get it, it was not a crime as trump didn't sign it........so, she can talk about it all she wants.

She's got a book out - making money - Avanatti is putting coin in his pocket, at Daniels expense (more likely, someone else's expense) What cases, regarding trump, has either of these windbags won?

Yeah, a porn star that got paid $130,000 (what the heck was trump thinking? $130,000 for fake boobs??? )

A lawyer that has his own issues, and debts?

A stripper/whore that still strips, and.....

Anybody else find it funny how Arch and other conservatives seem to have more nasty things to say about stormy than the guy that paid to bang her while he was married?

I don't care how anyone tries to rewrite the history on this one.

Stormy Daniels proved Trump slept with her, showed how he corruptly tried to cover it up and keep information like this showing how unscrupulous he really is from voters before his election.

He was literally 'rigging' the election, but somehow this woman who has a legal job in a legal industry making a product that the same people bashing her probably use on a daily basis...

She and her attorney are somehow the bad guys here?... smh

I don't really have a problem with Stormy or the resolution of this case. I don't really care about it.

However, the old saying is true.

Trump can only blame himself.

Arch tried to claim that Trump was a billionaire, citing a Forbes report twice that was written by a man who later wrote an article entitled "Trump lied to me about his wealth to get onto the Forbes 400. Here are the tapes.".

I pointed out that Arch's argument had been shredded (a point even arch graciously conceded), and you, for some bizarre reason, responded with "I don't see any shreds", at which point I asked if you were blind or merely being obtuse.

That's not you "having an opinion", that's you being stubbornly obtuse.

Michael Avenatti ordered by judge to hand over $4.85 million in back pay to attorney at his former law firm

https://www.cnbc.com/2018/10/22/judge-michael-avenatti-must-pay-4point85-in-ex-lawyers-suit.html

A California judge on Monday ordered Stormy Daniels' lawyer Michael Avenatti to pay $4.85 million to an attorney at his former law firm, the first time the potential presidential candidate is being held personally liable in the case.

Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Dennis Landin issued the ruling after turning down a request from Avenatti to have the matter moved to federal court, which the opposing side called a delay tactic.

Avenatti did not appear at the court hearing and never filed opposing arguments in the case.

The judge said Avenatti must pay the money because he personally guaranteed a settlement with Jason Frank, who had worked at his former firm.

Frank had alleged the firm misstated its profits and that he was owed millions.

Avenatti, who is toying with a possible 2020 presidential run, told The Associated Press on Monday that Frank owes him and the firm $12 million "for his fraud." He did not provide details.

The ruling follows a court ruling from a U.S. bankruptcy court judge who ordered Avenatti's former firm to pay $10 million to Frank in May. The $4.85 million is in addition to that judgment.

In July, the Justice Department accused Avenatti of making misrepresentations in the bankruptcy case and said his former law firm owed more than $440,000 in unpaid federal taxes.

Avenatti's lawyer said at the time that the matter had been resolved. The Justice Department insisted that settlement negotiations were continuing but the debt was still owed.

A federal judge last week dismissed Daniels' defamation lawsuit against Donald Trump, saying the president made a "hyperbolic statement" against a political adversary when he tweeted about a composite sketch that Avenatti has released.

Daniels, whose real name is Stephanie Clifford, sued Trump in April after he said a composite sketch of a man she said threatened her in 2011 to keep quiet about an alleged affair with the real estate mogul was a "con job."

Avenatti has appealed the ruling.

So, aside from getting on tv, what has this Avenatti guy ever done?

He owes 4.85 million to his former law firm, he owes back taxes somewhere in the neighborhood of $450,00.00.

What's his claim to fame, other than representing a porn star whose suit against trump was thrown out (and of which said porn star is liable for attorney fees)?

His claim to fame at this point is bashing Trump. I wish he'd go back to whatever hole he climbed out of, but I imagine the spotlight is too intoxicating for him and the media is more than happy to book him. He clearly did not have Stormys best intentions in mind by becoming a mouthpiece against Trump. That to me disqualifies him as a valid lawyer. Hes more of an ambulance chaser to me.

And in the one suit he represented stormy in, she has to pay trumps attorney fees. I'm sure she's all "Thanks, Mr. Avenatti."

He was out for fame. He got it. But he hasn't gotten enough money to pay his bills.

That's not the only case he represents her in. This was a minor case stemming from the NDA case.

He had a hand in getting Michael Cohen to flip on Trump

He owes 4mil. Big deal A drop in the bucket. Trump owes Liz Warren’s charity a ton of money as well.

So now “Accused” is guilty till proven innocent? How confident. Deplorable.

What?

The Cohen thing unraveled because Trump was too dumb to realize that he was waiving lawyer-client privilege on live TV.

His office was raided the next morning.

If Avenatti and the Daniels case was not the main driver in exposing Cohen, it certainly was a major factor.
