"First down inside the 10. A score here will put us in the Super Bowl. Cooper is far to the left as Njoku settles into the slot. Moore is flanked out wide to the right. Chubb and Ford are split in the backfield as Watson takes the snap ... Here we go."

Not for long if we continue to play like we did on defense.
1. Get a new offensive line or man up. 2. Get better WR who are taller than me. 3. Get better linebackers. 4. Profit.
Find what you love and let it kill you.

Baker is still our guy, but we have to get him seasoning and help. This was not really that bad. We can't hold an offense like that, and as for our offense, well, that's about what we can expect. I don't like all the dinking and dunking, but maybe that's the best way for Baker to learn. Our offensive line is bad, we need a #1 wide receiver and we need a lot of help on offense. Time to think about what to do with another top five draft pick.

I know the D looks bad, but...
#1 CB - Ward, injured early in the game #2 CB - Mitchell, out before the game #3 CB - Gaines, out before the game #4 CB - Carrie, injured early in the game
#1 FS - Randall, out before the game
#1 MLB - Schobert - out before the game
We were trying to defend one of the most prolific offenses in the NFL with special teams players.
It was good to see Duke being an integral part of the offense.

the Browns lack elite speed and playmakers on offense. the Chiefs get chunk plays. the Browns get 2yd 5yd 8yd yd plays the Browns have very few players on offense that could start for any playoff team..Zeitler. thats about it. Landry as a #2 WR. Greg Williams is a myth when it comes a DC. dont worry the homers will complain the refs lost the game for the Browns

We get a different voice in the post game what the heck happened speech! I had no idea: Gregg Williams sounds like he could have gone to the same high school as Billy Bob Thorton. God Love them.
Can Deshaun Watson play better for the Browns, than Baker Mayfield would have? ... Now the Games count.

--I think Baker played just good. The pick was bad. The inaccuracy is a bit troubling. The missed connection to Njoku was particularly troubling. I'm hoping the inaccuracy is due to being a rookie and pressing a bit. Even his good intermediate throws stop the receiver from advancing any farther after the catch. Still like Mayfield as the guy. Just noticing these things in the games.
--Before the connection with Callaway, Mayfield had not connected on a single deep ball the entire season. Hopefully, that completion gets that monkey off his back.
--Defense are pretenders. I don't really care how injured they were. Poor tackling and poor effort. That has nothing to do with injuries.
--The Browns were the darlings of the first quarter of the season. They were being touted as a team on the rise with a lot of young players and a D that was ready to win now. I think the D is pretty bad in general. I have no confidence they will get a stop, play with smarts or effort, or play good situational football.
--Garrett with a token, no impact sack. Almost all of his 9 sacks were meaningless. Handled one on one nearly the entire game. Again. He's just not very good for where he was drafted. A lot of talk. Not a lot of winning production.
--Special teams gaffe again. I think we should make Amos the HC.
--Another season over. With 7 games to go. Ugh. I feel like the Browns just won't be good in our lifetime.
--Steelers back to being the Steelers. Browns back to being the Browns.
--My preference for coach in this order … Campbell, Riley, John Harbaugh, Toub. Don't want anything to do with McDaniels. Don't think I want anything to do with Flip.
--Sometimes I wonder why we even bother.

. It's amazing what a guy like Duke can do when you focus him heavily in the game plan.
As Arians said, we do not have that deep threat at the moment.
Considering how beat up out DBs are, it could have been worse.
Robinson had a nice game. Chubb whiffed on a block and it led to the punt getting blocked.... he could at least try to impede his man.
Bake overthrew a couple guys, the INT was a bad decision to throw late and across his body, but overall he looked alright.
They kept grinding, didn't quit. We hung tough against an offensive juggernaut, I'm not totally displeased with today's game.
Nice to see Joseph boom a long one - from 51 iirc.

Chiefs are playing on a different level than most teams right now. All things considered, we held our own the best we could. Not mad about this loss.

Offense:
Pretty good game from Kitchens for the 1st time he is calling plays. I am encouraged. Baker is a rookie. Made some nice plays, made some rookie mistakes We need another good Wr
Oline is an issue - On the one sack Baker changes the line call to get everyone to slide left. Everyone does except one guy, and the rusher comes in right where he should have been. Another sack the rusher comes off the end untouched. It looked like we had a Te to that side who tried to pass him off to the blocker to his outside. Unfortunately, he was the outside most guy. The LT had no one to block. Not saying Baker holding the ball doesn't contribute to the sacks but the o-line definitely has it's issues. Either our blocking schemes are bad or our blockers are too stupid to understand them. Suspect I know which one.
Defense:
We tackled poorly We still cannot defend a screen Our linebackers are slow We need to get more stout on the d-line Defensive backfield is decimated
Special teams:
Didn't really notice much. Which is good because that means that they didn't do anything horrific (as per their norm). But that also means that they didn't do anything really good either. Though we down that one punt within the 5 yrd line
KC:
They are really really good on offense I like Schwartz - wish I knew the details, not the speculations, about what happened that he didn't get re-signed Still not impressed with Irving, though he is playing better than he ever did with us I always liked Reiter. I don't understand how he got away
Am I perfect? No Am I trying to be a better person? Also no

I thought Mayfield had a nice game. I also like the play calling. People complaining about "dink and dunk" are fools, all teams do it. It's about what happens after the short pass is caught.
I'm sick of the hype Williams defense gets. It has nothing to do with injuries, they constantly give up the big play on third down. The tackling by this team is horrendous. These teams dink and dunk on us all day, then break three tackles and gain twenty yards.
IMO, if KC would have run the ball without passing, the score would have been worse.
I think Duke showed why many of us like him. Chubb is proving he is a powerful back and dependable. Still hate that Landry catches the ball and stops everytime.
This game is about what I expected, but if the defense could tackle, it would have been a different story.
Going for two everytime is foolish, points are points, especially to a team that loses many games by 3 points. Plus not making a single two point conversion is a let down to the players. Take the one and move on.
RIP, Jim

We will get healthy over the Bye and I think if we stay relatively healthy we can win 1 or 2 more which would be nice, and I don't care whether we draft 2-3-4-5-6 whatever we are going to get a stud at a postion of need I have faith in Dorsey .. I need another win or 2

To be honest I thought this would be a complete bloodbath. That didnt happen.
I was mostly pleased with our offense. They looked competant. They scored TDs in the redzone. That kicker got a field goal.
Our defense was wounded and it showed.
I feel we did decent against a way superior team. And I'm ok with how we performed. Especially after the turmotiously horrible week we had with the coach firings,
And props to Calloway for actually catching the ball. He did good today.

We're going winless the remainder of the season. Unless we get back our defensive backfield, I would have to agree. Very disappointed in what I'm seeing in the lack of tackling. After the first game, GW reamed Ward for his tackling method, which was wrapping up. The next week Ward whiffed on a tackle trying to go low with his shoulder. It certainly appears to me that GW's method of tacking in the open involves diving at the feet and hoping for the best. I'm sure he'll be gone next year too so no point in bitching about it now, I guess.
