How about Mr Assist Larry Nance Jr?

Nice win for the Cavs, Tristan has really upped his game this season. Sexton big game, he has really been playing well since they JR to stay home. Hope they can get anything out JR.
Since we arent winning anything this year, I’d not play Love this season at all. Let him have an entire year off. Get back to 100% completely, be ready for next season.

Right? 13-7-7 off the bench is what we need

Who is this Blossomgame guy that started? He played 20 minutes scored 6 points on 3 of 5 shooting and had 6 rebounds. No assists, steals or blocks Had a +7 +/- whatever that means ------------------------------------- Spot start With Rodney Hood sidelined because of soreness in his right foot, Drew inserted Alec Burks into the starting lineup. Drew also pondered how he wanted to fill out the rest of his starting group all the way up to tip. Ultimately, Drew decided on two-way player Jaron Blossomgame. The Wizards went small, using Otto Porter Jr. at power forward, and it left Drew without much of a choice. He didn't want to use the two-big group with Thompson and Larry Nance Jr, David Nwaba remains sidelined because of a sore knee, JR Smith is exiled and Sam Dekker was part of Friday's three-team trade. That gave Blossomgame his first NBA start. He scored six points in 20 minutes. https://www.cleveland.com/cavs/index.ssf...ncart_big-photo

And who is Jalen Jones? Deserving more time Blossomgame scored six points on 3-of-5 from the field. But Jalen Jones was the revelation. He came off the bench and provided a nice spark for the Cavs late in the first quarter. When Jones checked in at the 4:41 mark of the quarter, the Cavs were trailing by two points. Thirty seconds later, he buried a triple to give Cleveland a lead it would never relinquish. On the night, Jones scored 12 points on 4-of-4 from the field -- all 3-point attempts. The Cavs have been looking for a sniper. It’s a missing piece on this roster that has quickly become the league’s worst 3-point shooting squad, averaging just 8.7 makes. “If you can shoot 3s you can definitely be in the rotation,” Thompson said. After not getting much of an opportunity against Sacramento Friday night, Jones woke up early Saturday morning and went into the gym. The Cavs didn’t have shootaround because they were playing the second game of a back-to-back. That didn’t stop Jones. “As a pro, you have to stay ready for your moment,” he said. “I hit a rollercoaster in my career, got waived by the Mavs, didn’t know where my career was going to take off next. Was hoping for a call overseas, maybe in the Euroleague, didn’t think I was going to be back in the NBA this year. Just being a pro, staying ready and happy I could come out and perform like I did tonight.” Jones said the 12-point performance does a lot for his confidence. Drew admitted that both Jones and Blossomgame deserve more playing time. It’s just not always that simple. “Think both guys are NBA ball players,” Drew said. “Unfortunate that with all of our guys back it becomes a numbers game for them.” https://www.cleveland.com/expo/sports/er...art_river_index

anybody watching the game tonight?
decent game to watch. Delly looks like he never left the cavs. offense rolls smooth with him in.
Cedi has got to work on these open 3's. teams are respecting his shot and are allowing him to get wide open looks. he's got to knock those down.

Osman shouldn’t be getting this much PT, between his horrid shot he gets caught on defense constantly. Like seeing delly back, he needs to start as I don’t think Sexton is even average at playing the point. He has horrible handles, can’t/won’t pass and turns it over a lot and struggles to finish. He’s a rookie he should be brought along and not have everything on him . I think he’s going to be pretty good but I think we are pushing him. That second quarter when delly came in was one of the best quarters of the season from a total team involvement standpoint

I actually want the Cavs in the lottery. That Zion kid I keep hearing about sounds like the perfect add. With that said, I actually like the style of play now better than when James was here. More guys involved, they still have to get more ball movement and more interior scoring but I like the offensive balance and the D is ok. The D will get better with Delly in the backcourt. Cavs have some pieces though.

Is everyone still liking taking Sexton over Luka (there was a chance to trade with the Hawks, get Luka but we'd also be taking on Bazemore's insane contract)? Seems like we got one of the 4 good rookies of the draft, but any buyers remorse since we could have had Luka instead? https://www.basketball-reference.com/leagues/NBA_2019_rookies.htmlLuka = .425/.369/.795 with 18/6.8/4.4 Ayton = .598/.000/.758 with 15.8/10.2/2.5 and 1 bpg Sexton = .454/.436/.878 with 15.8/3.1/2.2 Young = .382/.247/.781 with 15.7/2.7/7.3 I could add JJackson and MBagley, but I'm lazy.

I like sexton as a piece, but I don't think he's a guy you can build around. he's not a good distributor and his shot needs some work to be a consistent attack guard. But for the 8th pick I think it was a good pickup considering how bad that class was. I think he can be taught to be a better distributor with time..just a matter if theres want to..Kyrie never had the want to, but he was elite offensively

well, this was a winnable game against the bucks, but Hood was the only starter who decided to show up tonight.

Some NBA thoughts:
--Milwaukee is much-improved this year. Not sure if they can win the East, but they are legit contenders.
--I think Boston has digressed w/Kyrie and Hayward in the lineup. Kyrie holds the ball too much and doesn't play D. We saw that w/the Cavs. Thus, guys like Tatum, Brown, and Rozier are having to take reduced roles.
--Toronto has a lot of pieces and proven top 5 player in Kawaii. LeBron is out of the East, so they have a shot.
--Washington is a disaster. Wall is a huge issue, but his contract makes him untouchable.
--Golden State is showing some chinks in the armor. That makes me happy.
--Doncic in Dallas is a freaking star already. He has size, a smooth J, a handle, and can create off the dribble.
--Denver looks deep and they have a star in Jokic.
--I thought Utah would be better.
--Pelicans are disappointing.
--LeBron and Lakers are playing better than I thought. If they get AD........watch out.

Agree with most of that. I would love to see Toronto come out of the east, leaving the celtics and the greatest coach of all time out of the NBA finals again.
Plus I just respect the fans up there. We kicked their rear ends every year and they kept showing up asking for more.
The Lakers are definitely better than I thought they would be. Lebron is just that good.
Figures that the Warriors would start showing some weakness as soon as we're out of it. I love how delusional their fans are. I'm sure the league is rigged now that they aren't on top of it.

The start of that game was beyond ugly. We loafed quite a bit.
Are we officially tanking yet? Because we couldn't have hit the trash can for our bucket. I do like most of the game Nance is giving us. That is all.

That is all. we don't have to officially tank, when your starting unit has Sexton, Osman and guy name blossom, you're going to finish in last place. Osman should be buried on the bench, I hate his game. Sexton ran full speed and did a flying leap into the rookie wall, or he's just not good. So many holes in his game. I don't understand trying to develop him on a losing team. He should be in dleague where he can develop and have success and not have to have all these snobby worthless vets who think they have a right to say anything to anyone about not knowing the game. Our second unit is light years ahead of our starters. I was all for Drew but I'm starting to wonder wtf he's doing sometimes

The Celtics are a better team when Kyrie is not playing. They distribute the ball much better, play better defense, and some of the guys like Tatum shine when Kyrie isn't playing.
