How many RBs do we possibly need? Such they all can have touches and all be happy? Chubb will be a stud. We don't anybody detracting from that.
I'd be inclined to stick with Duke over a woman beater. But the only way I see we get this Hunt is if we want to let Duke go.

It boils down to how or if Dorsey wants to deal with it.
Duke could be traded.
If it works for Dorsey you can't have enough talent.
Hunt has that burst that is hard to find. He is threat anywhere on the field.
I don't know what happened. The tape is bad. Don't know all the circumstances. Don't know if it habitual or a bad moment.
All that needs to be looked at. Dorsey knows this guy. He took a chance on Hill who had an abuse incident.
Hunt will play again for somebody.
Waiver claim is over. Now he becomes a free agent.
We shall see.

First and foremost.. what he did was wrong.
1. Watch the video 2. He shoved the girl. He didnt punch her.(that i saw) 3. When the girl went down he shoved the guy and knocked her over. 4. He didnt full blown kick the girl it was pretty lazy kick 5. No one knows what was said. 6. He needs counseling. 7. He should get another chance with clearance from a shrink. I dont think this was career ending. Hopefully, it will be life changing eye opener for him 8. I dont think the Browns should pick him up. 9. The one guys looks like he took something back from the one girl

But I DO know you don't go after a 19 year old girl like that. For anything. It's cost him his job. It might cost him his football career. If so, that's the way it is. Maybe he'll have to get a job like the rest of us?

found a link on it with police cam https://www.nbcnews.com/news/us-news/kan...nocking-n942376so, watch the police cam video on the link above. she told the police that she was kicked out of the room and she was standing outside the room trying to call people (or causing a scene outside his hotel room) when the other girl came out of the hotel room and got in their face. That's when things got heated. she also said something like she was denied calling 911 3x and she thought that was against the law against the hotel. She said she got kicked out for not hooking up his friend. Lastly, she said her car was in valet and she didn't feel comfortable to drive home I think the media went hard after him without having all the facts or access to the police body cam. I think he needs help with dealing with his anger. I'd love to see the video prior to them coming out of the room to see how long she was standing outside his room like she told police she was.

j/c... More issues for Kareem Hunt are coming to light.... The Put-in-Bay Police Department said the National Football League spent two days investigating another allegedly violent incident involving former Toledo Rockets running back Kareem Hunt.
Dispatchers on the tourism-friendly island received a call about a disturbance in the early morning hours of June 3 at the Bay Lodging Resort, where the recently released Kansas City Chiefs running back allegedly punched a male guest during an argument. Police say NFL investigated Put-in-Bay incident involving Kareem Hunt A Gladstone man told Kansas City police that former Kansas City Chiefs running back Kareem Hunt was among a group of men who punched him and temporarily knocked him unconscious during an altercation at a nightclub in the Power and Light District in January.
The incident happened about 2 a.m. Jan. 7 inside of Mosaic, a nightclub at 13th Street and Walnut Avenue. The 38-year-old victim said he suffered a broken rib, a broken nose and numerous cuts and bruises. He reported the incident on Jan. 11. Yes, sign him on waivers and then yes, trade him to the highest bidder next year.
We've got two good RB's and he's worth more to us for the draft choice than anything.
Using our waiver wire position is no different than using our cap space to get a draft choice.
1. hes not going to play this year. 2. hes going to be suspended next year for a good portion 3. whos going to give you a lot of trade value for a possible suspension waiting to happen SMH, the reward vs risk to your locker room, team, and respect of the franchise is not worth the 5th round pick you will get for him. Come on, think guys.

Just wanted to add that if this is considered domestic violence, then a 2nd such incident would result in a lifetime ban from the NFL.

There are several examples that point toward this being factual. So you're saying it's not a fact, just an opinion. Rubin Foster So that makes that a fact and this an opinion. You have a pathological need to be right even when you aren't. Yeah, it just happened last week. I guess that was an illusion. A mythical move.

Awe come on man. Lighten up a little bit. Anyone as young as Hunt with his kind of talent will get another shot somewhere.
I mean Ray Rice was on the down swing and averaged under four yards per carry in his last two seasons. In the business world, under those circumstances, the risk wasn't worth the reward.
That's not the case with Hunt. He's going to get another shot somewhere at some point. And Rubin Foster was the perfect example that my point was made only a week ago.
Now you can disagree if you will. I like you as a poster on this board. But don't take everything to heart. It's not intended that way. Do I think I'm right? Of course I do. Rubin Foster is a good player, but he's no Kareem Hunt.

The possibility exists, yes, but it's really is only an opinion he'll get picked up, not a fact. Especially in light of all the other incidents coming out about him, and the changing (hopefully) sentiments on the notion of rewarding bad behavior because of mega-talent. Just so you know, I do respect your opinions. (Particularly when they're framed as such.)

I watched the video again.
I don't think from the video that a crime happened.

Actually, if you're willing to make the caveat of no other incidents before he can be reinstated, I'd be happy to make a friendly wager with you on the matter. If you're interested shoot me a PM.

Win without this punk. We have come so far, why risk it or blow it for this problem?
Not pushing for only taking choir boys. But illegal applies to the NFL as well. He may well latch on to some club later; taint comes with you, and 'taint good for your team. Something smells like burnt Rice. . . .

Not so much. Rice was beginning to suffer injuries and rushed for less than four yards per carry during his last two seasons. Rice had been rode hard and put away wet.
With Hunt the production is off the charts and there's tons of tread left on the tires. It's an apples to oranges comparison.

I would have thought he'd've been picked up but wasn't. But you may have a point about the injuries. We'll have to wait and see.

There is some truth to that... but people still thought Rice would get a chance to play again. He never did... I think it's more of why do it when there are players to be had who can play the position. I mean Barkley was the #2 overall pick, but he's been outplayed by undrafted rookie Phillip Lindsay. Why reward someone for the poor entitled behavior when you can do just as a well with someone else... It's why teams were upset the Redskins claimed Foster.

If the other incidents are true, he clearly has anger issues. Several things I've read about the situation (if true) are just disgusting, aside from the actual pushing and kicking. Like it started because she wouldn't hook up with an entourage dude. Like she was supposedly pregnant at the time. Like she used the N word. Then there's the violence itself. The whole thing is just disgusting. I understand young people need to blow off steam and want to have a good time. I partied like a rock star in my day and did my share of stupid crap, but chasing money, and using money to wield power is a slippery slope that often doesn't end well. I've seen it a lot, and it's ugly. Bottom line, I hope everyone involved comes out of this okay, with the hard lessons learned. I don't think Kareem should be rewarded by being signed by another team - I think it's a terrible look for the league but their second chance policy makes it likely - but I do hope he gets help.

He'll play int he NFL again, and that team will get a great RB, who can also catch the ball really well. We are talking about a guy who, in a year and 11 games, has put up almost 3000 yards combined rushing and receiving, with a combined 25 TD. There are a lot of teams that can use that kind of weapon on offense. He will have multiple offers once he is available again.

It's hard to predict what will happen.
I also don't think that all 32 teams will be able to resist the temptation of a 23 year old pro-bowler who is available. Once a team's starting running back goes down, or they are looking at using a first round pick on a player who most likely will never become as good as Hunt, someone will probably bite.
Even more unfortunate: there's a good chance Hunt will get a better contract than the one he had (2nd year of a slotted, 3rd round rookie deal), so he might profit massively from getting cut.
However, there's a wildcard in all this. Things happen behind the scenes. Kaepernick sat at home while Nathan Peterman was chucking interceptions. The whole safety market dried up when Eric Reid hit free agency. Just saying.
It wouldn't surprise me if Hunt became untouchable. Any team signing him would basically be giving the rest of the league a two finger salute (that is, one from each hand.)

This opens a new can of worms. Is it collusion if teams don't want to deal with the nonsense that comes with signing said player. It's the same reason why I think Johnny may never see the NFL again. Teams don't want the distraction. Same for Kaep in my opinion... although I've recently read the redskins might consider it...

Is it collusion if teams don't want to deal with the nonsense that comes with signing said player. No. It is only collusion if the teams get together and agree to block that person and I honestly don't believe that is happening with any of these. It is FAR more likely that teams simply seek to stay away from the controversy. Bad teams don't need to give people extra fodder to berate them and good teams don't need the distractions. The Kaep thing has cooled off and fallen out of the limelight enough that a team could conceivably take a chance on it - like Michael Vick. The NFL wants players that sell tickets and get people to tune in; they do NOT want players that sell tabloids and generate clicks for TMZ.
Browns is the Browns
