With the video being released, he's done in the NFL. It's hard to fathom throwing away the likely opportunity to earn tens of millions of dollars.

I would bet that no team claims him right now. Maybe he signs with someone after his inevitable suspension is over.

Actually, I don't know if a team can claim him while he's on the exempt list.

Strictly speaking from a legal stand point, unless she is in a domestic relationship with him, what is on the video is a simple assault, a misdemeanor crime. There would only be a police report if the victim wanted one. If she declined, or left without talking to the police, there would be no report. (She could make a report at a later time should she change her mind, or if she left without talking to police.) Without a police report, without a victim or witness statement saying otherwise, whatever Hunt and his party tells the Chiefs and/or NFL is going to be the only version of events they know. The hotel policy is probably not to release or show the video without a legal mandate.

So, it totally makes sense that the Chiefs and the NFL took no action before now because the only version of the event was provided by Hunt and his entourage. My guess (purely speculation) is that the victim wants to sue Hunt and her lawyer got a copy of the video and released it.

Even though the crime was simple assault and not domestic violence in no way excuses or justifies his behavior.

I think he'll get claimed and a team will say they investigated it thoroughly; remember, the Chiefs released him for lying, not just his action.

In a 2 or 3 year period that man drafted an ABSOLUTE WHACK JOB in Marcus Peters (who they’ve all ready traded away cause he flaked out during a game) and not one but ONE young man that beat his girlfriend (Hill) and now this with Hunt ... Hunt was suspended for part of his senior year .. not sure why ... can’t remember ...

His first year here ... he brought in Calloway who missed more time in college due to his inability to stay off the court docket than he played ... and then the UDFA’s we brought in were announced you’d of thunk u reading a police blotter not an nfl draft ticker ...

Nah, he’ll be playing next year. If Joe Mixon was drafted and is playing, Hunt will have a job soon. Heck, what Mixon did was 100 times worse.

Ray Rice is out of football and so should K. Hunt, E. Elliot, J. Mixon and R. Foster. They should not be seen as role models to kids and making millions playing a professional sport. Same for the next one, they’ll be more.

No reason not to believe it. The NFL wouldn't try to cover that up.

What I imagined and what I saw didn't match. None the less I am glad KC cut him and feel pretty good that Hunt won't be playing football next year. I hope not.

One thing I think people miss in all of this is that this couldn't have been foreseen. There was nothing in his past, at least that I know of, that would make one think he would do something like this. Yet there it is.

I think it's why some of us get concerned about drafting kids with character issues. When we see something like this from a kid where no warning signs were shown, look at the huge risk you take on kids that have shown such tendencies.
