Alabama's size, speed, talent, etc. will just overwhelm you. Clemson is literally the only team that might be able to compete with them for the entire game.
I still like Bama tho

This bowl season has been awful so far. I haven't watched some of the lesser games like the Massengill Douche bowl or anything. How do you miss the Douche Bowl? This year it was sponsored by General Motors and Richie Incognito made a special halftime appearance.

The guy has the same 4 teams as I had. I like that college football added the playoffs. Good move. However, I always thought having a "committee" have full say in picking the four teams was a mistake. Thus far, that thought process has proven to be true. One word comes to my mind when the committee explains why they chose certain teams and left out others. That word is "subjectivity" because their selections have not been consistent.

I still like Bama tho Did u watch the Georgia game bro? ... Clemson has the lines and athelticism to not only play with them but beat them ... This year there were 3 teams DESERVING and then a bunch of CRAP ... when ND deserves to get in .... AND THEY DID ... u know its WEAK ... we simply can’t recruit with the big boys anymore .... If we didn’t lose Love (one of the best corners in the country this year) for just long enough to see his replacement torched for twoTD’s and Okwara (our best pass rusher who was constantly moving Lawrence off his spot in he first quarter) we could have made it “competitive” ... in that the score would have been close .... but with NO QB ... its tough to win ... *L* .. ND’s not relevant anymore ... i’m a REALIST and we simply cant recruit the atheletes the big boys do .... i do HOWEVER have to *L* at those that still HATE and ENVY us cause there so JEALOUS of a team that has to win the lotto to ever have a shot at winning another national championship ... *LOL* ... I also find it HYSTERICAL that the fans of a team that lost to PURDUE by 29 is making fun of us for losing to Clemson by less ... U guys very well may have beaten us ... BUT IF there was ever a year we would have beaten u it was this one ... our D is LEGITE .. to bad we lost those two .. we could have at least kept it close .. unlike most of the rest of the games this bowl season .. i can’t remember a year with so many NON COMPETITIVE games ... Looking forward to the title game .. SHOULD BE A GOOD ONE ... here’s to hoping ... Good Luck in your game ya’all .... since its the LIARS last game ... i’ll even give u a GO BUCKS ...

I also find it HYSTERICAL that the fans of a team that lost to PURDUE by 29 is making fun of us for losing to Clemson by less ... Well no, you were the one talking trash. Your team got destroyed in a big game (again). And yes, Ohio State did lose badly to Purdue, but they've also won big games in big spots, unlike Notre Dame. Once they get forced to join a conference they lose all leverage when it comes to recruiting. They'll be another mid-range team in the ACC or Big Ten. If you're mad about some of the clapping back, maybe don't toss the first stone.

... PAY ATTENION ... Show me one post on here i talked trash in ... or quite frankly in any COLLEGE THREAD this year ... And this post right here is why this place is getting harder and harder to come back too ... every forum is turning into the cess pool in that folks just BASELESLY RUN THERE MOUTHS ... I am not a fan of your HC and have stated that ... only thing i ever said about ND this year is; - we have no QB ... - we may not be 500 this year ... That was before the season or after the first two or three games ... HAVEN’T SAID A WORD ABOUT ND SINCE ... not one word .... But i’m talking trash .... ... PAY ATTENTION ...

If you could watch 1 bowl game tomorrow, which would it be?
As in, which would be the better game. Not loyalty reasons. Ohio State or Georgia

OSU game will probably be the closer one IMO.
Georgia might route Texas.

Would love to see Ohio State vs Georgia
As far as actual games being played, None of them interest me much. LSU vs UCF would be interesting if the UCF QB was healthy

Love My Bucks But Today's Game Means Nothing Except Pride ... Still Go Buckeyes I disagree. I think it has a lot of meaning. --Rose Bowl Champs. It's the Granddaddy of them all. --Representing your conference. --Probably a top 3-4 finish in the National Rankings if we win. --Winning helps recruiting. --Shutting up all the naysayers. --Proving the committee was wrong yet again.

I would only add this: It's Urban's last game as coach. I would guess that adds a bit of motivation for the players.

I agree with everything you said except that the committee got it wrong, especially not "again." OSU was not a top 4 team this year.

Nice game today for former Buckeye, Joe Burrow. LSU up on UCF 37-24 in the Fiesta Bowl. Burrow has 346 yards passing, with 4 TD passes. His receiver just dropped what would have been his 5th TD pass. Looks like LSU might be able to lay claim to UCF's next "Self Proclaimed National Championship" if they can hold on for another 10 minutes or so.

I'm very surprised by the first half of the Texas vs Georgia game. Can't believe that Texas has shut down Georgia's running game.

I can agree with that. Objective as figure skating scores. Get to a point, possibly valid, that the committee has faults its makeup over the choices it generates. Everything is swell if you get a big winner like 'Bama every year because it makes all decisions right. Just odd that you can pick among many reasons rationalize who is in or out. The only given is how long ESPN and other media will take turns beating dead horses over the prospects chosen.

I was one of the people who thought Georgia was a top four team. Not sure what happened last night.

My gut feeling was that Georgia was probably one of the top 4. But I don't believe that the "eye test" is the way to decide who gets in. There is no way in my mind that a 2 loss, non conference champion should get in over a a 1 loss conference champion. Way to much subjective bias (no necessarily intentional bias). If the eye test was so good then Vegas would never have been built.
Having said that, my post was not directed at that. There were several talking heads that wanted Georgia in. At least 2 were quite adamant about it. I am interested in how they handle the Georgia loss.
Will they say they were wrong? Doubtful
Will they continue to expound Georgia as a top 4 and try to give justification for the loss with some copout excuse? They weren't interested in the game because they didn't make the playoffs ... yada, yada, yada. Possibly.
Will they just ignore it and not discuss it? Probably

Just saw on Get Up, they were talking about the bowl games and said Georgia wouldn’t have played like that if they were playing Clemson in the playoffs

I thought UGA was a top 2 team to be honest, but Texas handled them ... both lines were handled, at least when that game was being decided before UT went softer

Surprised that Bulldogs didna show better than they did. Equally surprised the longhorns handled them like they did. Still, some great games and plays yesterday.
Schnell (?) from Kentucky impressed me in closing out the game. The next "act" for college football should be special. I assume most would be picking 'Bama for the win.

You achieved everything except the last two.. not sure who the "naysayers" are but people didn't have a whole lot of respect for Washington as a national power, so you didn't shut anybody up.... and you didn't convince anybody the committee was wrong, Notre Dame might have, but OSU didn't. If it wasn't Notre Dame or Oklahoma, it would have been Georgia and we see how that turned out. Congratulations, good win and end to a good season.

I wonder what the talking heads who were so adamant on selection day that Georgia was one of the top 4 teams are going to say tomorrow. Probably that it's obvious their heart wasn't in the game, disappointed about not being in the playoff, blahblahblah... same thing they say about every team that doesn't get into the bowl game they want and then get beat by a lesser team. I just watched that game for 3 hours trying to figure out how Maryland even stayed on the field with Texas, let alone running up over 400 yards, 34 points and beating them.... And for the record, by the transitive property, Maryland is the second best team in the SEC.

Oh, you mean the SEC spin? When an SEC team wins their bowl game: "SEC! SEC! Best conference in football, see!" When their team loses the bowl game: "Well they didn't want to be there" It's hilarious and I love every minute of it. I also love SEC fans that aren't Alabama fans somehow flexing their muscles about their conference, when in reality, it's a historically great Alabama team, and a small handful of teams that are pretty much as good as some of these other conference's top teams. Nobody can spin a college football argument quite like SEC fans, and I hope it never stops.
