At a massive crossroads for this franchise. Almost incomprehensibly massive.

It's a really big, tough decision. I'd think we have a LOT of guys wanting it
"First down inside the 10. A score here will put us in the Super Bowl. Jeudy is far to the left as Njoku settles into the slot. Tillman is flanked out wide to the right. Judkins and Ford are split in the backfield as Flacco takes the snap ... Here we go."

Dorsey will go through the process.
The rest is speculation. I will say I don't think it will be GW. I never thought it would be him. Even with what he has done.
I am not judging one way or the the other I just don't think it is GW.

If GW doesn't get the job after the player's efforts since Hue has been gone we deserve the losing record that we'll have next year.
Fixing what ain't broke is what losing franchises do. Not one single coach shares Dorsey's vision of building a team completely. These guys like their LB's to be able to do this and their Centers to be able to do that. Sure, they'll try to fit his players in their system until the losing starts and then they're going to be telling Dorsey that they really need a run stuffer in the middle of the line like the two we just got rid of of or they need a center that's able to pull or some other excuse.
THIS WORKS!
DON"T FIX IT STUPID!!!!

If these guys have totally bought into what GW is preaching you better be bringing in an extremely dynamic coach with a personality that reaches out and grabs one. It's highly possible they do not buy what someone is selling. It's a precarious situation if you ask me.

Greg Williams has been the league a long time. He has been a head coach.
It is not like he is Bill Walsh.
In the end if I had to make a guess I would say it will be McCarthy.
He is a proven winner in the league with plenty of playoff experience and a Super Bowl. That alone is no small deal.
Then there is the obvious. He is a know entity.
There is no guessing about him and the Dorsey staff.

Well maybe we can find a great offensive mind that is a QB whisperer that is buying in to the structure we have in place and has HC experience. I hear there is a Asst. Coach in Cincinnati with those qualifications. He won't start complaining about the talent we have on the roster until he's hired either.

I thought we saw that McCarthy might end up in AZ

Coaching search will seriously ramp up after this beat down in Baltimore concludes...expect clean sweep myself after team looks totally outclassed in this game.
just my $0.02 LOl...and that is about what your opinion is worth. You spoke too soon.

I've always liked Gregg, I thought the defense vastly improved from day 1 since he's been here and switching it over to a 4-3.
Since he took over as HC we've seen a major drop in penalties and dropped passes. I tribute that to him actually holding guys accountable for their mistakes. To me Gregg seems like a no nonsense guy, I hope he and Kitchens are here for a long time.

I do like that our penalties and dumb mistakes decreased a lot .. that's a sign of coaching

I may have egg on my face. Just saw a post on another board - a tweet - that the Browns have reached out to McCarthy. Seems odd. I think they could have done it at any time. I would still be surprised if this were the hire, but I'll be honest before seeing that I would have put the chances at 0%.

What % u got Riley at now bro ... I can't backtrack now. 95% Riley, 5% the field. I'll take my lumps if I'm wrong. You probably won't get to enjoy it much though. Don't see myself posting much next year. As for the McCarthy tweet, I have no idea if it's legit or not. Just one of those where there's smoke, there's fire things. I also could see McCarthy being interviewed as a due diligence type move as well. If you are going to cast a wide net, cast a wide net.

Yes, I wish for the Browns to be bad so I can come on here and gripe about it.
Since their needle is point up, there's not much reason for me to be here.

Florio just said Mike Zimmer and Minnesota MIGHT be a situation to look at

If we just had rhe most successful season in a long, long while, how would it make sense to hire someone who got fired from a team that was worse than us? I speak of McCarthy, here.
He' has a good track record, granted, but something went horribly wrong in GB. Was it him? The team? Injuries? A simple pissing contest between he and Rodgers?

Its so hard to communicate on here ... i was pulling your leg ... Things are looking up dawg ... hope u stick around for the fun ... We all deserve it ... Things ARE looking up. But that could change quickly depending on who the next head coach is. If we hire some idiot that wants to run a 3-4 and blows up the entire D to do it, or we hire some supposed offensive guru that wants to throw the ball every down and sits Chubb on the bench the entire season we could easily go back to losing every week. We all HOPE that doesn't happen. But it could. So I love Dorsey drafting so far but he HAS to get this hire right. If it isn't Williams then he better find a guy that wants to keep things pretty much as is and make SMALL changes over time. Not blow it all up to fit his ego.

Once he was fired it was just a matter of time. I think mike would do fine here. I think a lot of the issues in GB were AR
