Have fun with this one, DT!!! I’m expecting greatness from Tulsa in his thread https://news.yahoo.com/neo-nazi-groups-leader-black-man-vowing-dissolve-212514918.htmlOne of the nation's largest neo-Nazi groups appears to have an unlikely new leader: a black activist who has vowed to dismantle it. Court documents filed Thursday suggest James Hart Stern wants to use his new position as director and president of the National Socialist Movement to undermine the Detroit-based group's defense against a lawsuit. The NSM is one of several extremist groups sued over bloodshed at a 2017 white nationalist rally in Charlottesville, Virginia. Stern's filing asks a federal court in Virginia to issue a judgment against the group before one of the lawsuits goes to trial. Stern replaced Jeff Schoep as the group's leader in January, according to Michigan corporate records. But those records and court documents say nothing about how or why Stern got the position. His feat invited comparisons to the recent Spike Lee movie "BlacKkKlansman" in which a black police officer infiltrates a branch of the Ku Klux Klan. Neither Stern, who lives in Moreno Valley, California, nor Schoep responded Thursday to emails and calls seeking comment. Matthew Heimbach, a leading white nationalist figure who briefly served as the NSM's community outreach director last year, said Schoep and other group leaders have been at odds with rank-and-file members over its direction. Heimbach said some members "essentially want it to remain a politically impotent white supremacist gang" and resisted ideological changes advocated by Schoep. Heimbach said Schoep's apparent departure and Stern's installation as its leader probably spell the end of the group in its current form. Schoep was 21 when he took control of the group in 1994 and renamed it the National Socialist Movement, according to the Southern Poverty Law Center. "I think it's kind of a sad obit for one of the longest-running white nationalist organizations," said Heimbach, who estimates it had about 40 active, dues-paying members last year. The group has drawn much larger crowds at rallies. NSM members used to attend rallies and protests in full Nazi uniforms, including at a march in Toledo, Ohio, that sparked a riot in 2005. More recently, Schoep tried to rebrand the group and appeal to a new generation of racists and anti-Semites by getting rid of such overt displays of Nazi symbols. It appeared that Stern had been trying for at least two years to disrupt the group. A message posted on his website said he would be meeting with Schoep in February 2017 "to sign a proclamation acknowledging the NSM denouncing being a white supremacist group." "The National Socialist Movement put a poison pill into the truth of history," Stern told the Associated Press in an interview Friday. "I bet we can put an antidote to make sure that we correct one of those wrongs and get the education out there." On Wednesday, lawyers for the plaintiffs suing white supremacist groups and movement leaders over the Charlottesville violence asked the court to sanction Schoep. They say he has ignored his obligations to turn over documents and give them access to his electronic devices and social media accounts. They also claim Schoep recently fired his attorney as a stalling tactic. A federal magistrate judge in Charlottesville ruled last Friday that Stern cannot represent the NSM in the case because he does not appear to be a licensed attorney. That did not deter Stern from filing Thursday's request for summary judgment against his own group. "It is the decision of the National Socialist Movement to plead liable to all causes of actions listed in the complaint against it," he wrote. Stern served a prison sentence for mail fraud at the same facility as onetime Ku Klux Klan leader Edgar Ray Killen, who was convicted in the "Mississippi Burning" killings of three civil rights workers. Killen died in January 2018. In 2012, Stern claimed Killen signed over to him power of attorney and ownership of 40 acres of land while they were serving prison terms together. A lawyer for Killen asked a judge to throw out the land transfer and certify that Killen and his family owned the property.

I didn't feel like reading this, Swish. What is a white person supposed to make of it? I saw some gif about "White Power." What the hell is that supposed to mean? Because, you know, that is how my family and I spend our time. Talking about "White Power" and how terrible blacks are. Again, what's the moral of the story?

I really don't feel like reading it and didn't see the Chapelle skit. I was hoping you would explain it to me in a sentence or two. I wasn't getting on your ass. Just asking.

You should watch the skit. It's definitely worth the time. In fact, I wish everyone would go back and watch Chapelle Show re-runs. Its the last time I recall when people in general weren't so uptight about race.

Vers, My Brother: If you never saw the Dave Chappelle 'Black KKK Leader' skit (that's now 10 years old), my .gif post will make no sense to you. Neither will any other poster's response this thread. Calling the 63 million people who voted for Trump a racist and/or a Nazi? A, because when certain people ignore racism, racism flourishes and that has drastic consequences for people of color. However, calling 63 million people who voted for a racist, racist is stupid. Sure, there are a lot of racists in there, but at the end of the day liberals don't understand that the issues they think they face are not the same issues republicans think Republicans face. Ultimately though, I think both liberals and conservatives completely underestimate how much their politics and policies embolden institutional racism.

I've been doing some thinking about Rep. Omhar and he anti-Semitic comments. During the election cycle I enjoyed Trump and his unabashed will to say what he actually felt. I reveled in the idea that a presidential candidate could be who they actually were and not apologize. I do not think Trump is a racist, I think he is an old man from a time where it was accepted that people were tribal. I think it’s ok to question other cultures and their poor behavior and their bad habits.
For this reason, despite my skepticism of Islam and anyone involved in it I cannot condemn her speech. Not only is she correct, that we cater to Isreal (because we should, the alternative is what, cater to Palestine? Please) but there is latent hypocrisy in that Christians have run this country as a Christian country for hundreds of years, speaking freely on the will of the Christian people but we want her to hide her feelings?
We want so badly for these congress people to be real and be who they are. Well, people have biases, someone from the Islam religion is absolutely going to be critical of Israel. They are probably going to want to shape pro Palestine if not flat out anti-Israel policy. That will be an impossible pill to swallow for most leftist because they believe we shouldn’t have biases and that they should be exterminated, which is a fairy tale.

David Duke, former KKK Grand Wizard, praised freshmen congresswomen Ilhan Omar and Rashida Tlaib this week for their remarks on Israeli “dual-loyalty” that has been widely condemned as anti-Semitic by everyone but rank-and-file Democrats. On his website and podcast, Duke, who has belonged to the Republican, Democrat, Nazi, Populist, and Reform parties, “heaped praise on Ilhan Omar for being the one person in Congress willing to notice AIPAC and the ‘dual’ loyalty of many (((members of Congress)))” and lauded Tlaib for causing Zionists to “expose… single loyalty to Israel and the Global Tribe!”
For those unaware, the triple parentheses are used online to indicate a Jewish conspirator, and “dual-loyalty” is an idea that Jewish people have an allegiance to Israel with or even before their allegiance to the United States, as hinted by Duke’s “single loyalty” comment. The phrase has long been considered an anti-Semitic dog whistle, and Ilhan’s controversy started when she implied members of Congress were bought off by AIPAC, the American Israel Public Affairs Committee, and then questioned whether supporters of Israel had an issue with allegiance to the United States. It overshadowed the issue of whether Congress should condemn or take legal action against the Boycott, Divestment, Sanction movement, which sparked Ilhan’s words.
The endorsement was not covered by CNN and company, and was only reported by The Washington Times, The Daily Caller, and the Daily Wire. This is in stark contrast to the coverage received by the alt-right leader’s kind words to Donald Trump in 2016 and Tulsi Gabbard this year. Trump blundered before denouncing the former Klan leader, but Tulsi made no such error. Regardless, both were pressed on the unsolicited endorsements, while no one at CNN or The Washington Post seems to know.
The House passed a condemnation of anti-Semitism today, with all Democrats, including Tlaib and Omar, voting yes. https://beinglibertarian.com/david-duke-...4uVrJvi4Cyi2YzU

I don't think questioning money or lobbying by any foreign government is a bad thing. I'm in no way anti-semitic and feel a lot of this backlash was fueled by Islamophobia from the right. That said, I'm not a fan of Omar at all. I think she will say a lot more along the way to harm Dem positions. I also have my own dislike for the traditional headgear and or garb being worn in congress rather it's for religious purposes or not. Can you imagine what would have been said if Obama wore traditional clothes like his father or some on the right wore their klan robes? It's just a personal dislike but I'm sure somebody will flame me for it.

Honest question.... what do you think does more damage:
A. Failing to call a hateful racist or an actual Nazi, a racist or Nazi
or
B. Calling the 63 million people who voted for Trump a racist and/or a Nazi?
I think an even bigger problem is trying to paint the few that are actually calling 63 million people racists and Nazi's as some representation of what's really happening. Because it isn't. The overwhelming sentiment is that those in the Republican party should be confronting and disavowing the racists and nazi's that certainly do exist among them. That they quit pretending that they either... a. Don't exist at all or.... b. Pretend as though they have no responsibility to disavow them and their beliefs. If you're speaking about the very few, extremely leftist group saying what you seem to claim is some popular sentiment, it's most certainly a terrible thing. But I think you know that if Republicans were extremely vocal in calling those people out, neither your a. or b. example would exist.

Remember the photo that Rocky got banned for? How many saw racists and klan members in that photo, that just were not there?
How many people believed Jussie Smollet immediately and without question?
How many people here have taken college-level, taxpayer-funded classes excusing their own cultural failures by blaming them, in an absolutely ridiculous fashion, on white people and believed it wholeheartedly, likely still do, and how many people here stated what BS that was?
Large sections, perhaps a majority, on the left cry "Racism!" at every turn, and point at everyone who disagrees with them in any way Nazi and Fascist and Klan member, while lots more people sit on their butts and say nothing.
It is obvious BS, it is not a fringe of the left, it is increasingly recognized for the false excuses that they are, and is being seen as nothing more than a little boy crying wolf, and we are getting tired of it.

You were tired long before now bro. Just saying. Defenders of the white right all seem to sound like those things today, explain that and maybe you will be on to something. Then we can talk.

Jussie Smollet made it up.
Almost everyone who saw Rocky's photo made it up.
Swish's college instructor made it up.
Those who wrote and commented on the Covington kids made it up.
Not everyone. But one heck of a lot of people, made it up.
You have helped to make being a victim a growth industry. You celebrate victimhood, so naturally you get more claims of it.
When one of the nations largest "nazi" groups has a total of 40 members, most of whom don't really want to do anything at all, SOMEBODY is vastly overstating the situation.
