I see that DC just cut Zach Brown.

I could be interested in him at LB.

Looking into it a little further, the Chiefs get almost no cap relief if they trade or cut Berry.

Isn't Berry a FS? The guys on the radio mentioned Ha-Ha Clinton-Dix from Green Bay as a possibility. Also, Ha-Ha is a funny name ... ha-ha.

A post-June trade might make more sense but we'd be taking large contract with a 30 year old that has played 3 games in the past two years. Seems extremely risky.

The last time Berry played significant snaps he was a strong safety. He has played both in his career successfully.

Tre Boston seems like the perfect solution. He played for Steve Wilks in Arizona last year and is the exact type of safety we are looking for. I don't think he'd be too expensive either.

I just hope we don't trade for Berry...I wouldn't mind bringing him in after hes cut...and that hes actually healthy, which is still a big question mark.

As a Lions fan, lord knows we've both spent a lot of time with each other at or near the bottom over the years, so it makes me glad to see the Browns with all these great signings & trades, their future is looking more & more bright, indeed.

Best of luck with the continued success you've all had moving in the right direction, I can only hope that some day we'll be able to join you all! Then again, we'll have to have somebody not named Ford that owns the team to be able to do that, but we can continue to hope & pray nevertheless.

Cheers!

Thanks for swinging in, and giving positive praise...I always root for the Lions and had a lot of love for many of the players who panned out, and even those whom didn't (Kevin Smith, Kevin Jones, Charles Rogers, Clairborne, Boss Bailey, etc) always loved Jeff Backus, very underrated...and of course the legends in Megatron and Barry Sanders.

Wishing you guys much luck!

Anyone think we look at Houston now that he's cut for a Collins replacement?

Houston and Collins play two completely different positions. Houston is a pass rusher.

Reports are that Tyrod has found his new home, backing up Rivers for the Chargers.

Between watching Baker and, now, backing up one of the true "gunslingers", one would think Tyrod would learn to scrap the conservative approach to "quarterbacking".

Well, if you're never going to play, you might as well catch some rays, I suppose.

Good for Tyrod

I was watching Colin Cowherd earlier today and he was saying how teams that spend a lot early in FA don't do that well as far as wins and losses. He mentioned the Jets, Oakland, Washington and us. Someone should have informed him we are not spending much in FA. We TRADED for 2 expensive guys and only really spent a sizeable sum on Richardson. The TE and LB we signed were for small amounts. I don't think he cares much for us and Baker.

Cowherd is a shock-jock who makes outlandish takes to rile people up and get them to talk about him. He then cherry picks his stats and facts to "prove his point".
