Nancy Pelosi on impeachment: Trump is not worth it
Pelosi is taking it off the table for the sake of the 2020 election or until the GOP comes to her to impeach Trump. There are a litany of things impeachment could be started for but with the Senate under McConnell, it would take too many GOPers to make it stick.
I want him impeached more than anybody, but I'm still rational enough to see why they don't do it. I think it would be handing Trump a 2020 victory at this point. smh

He deserves to be impeached, but the GOP Senators have to be on board and want it too. Anything short of two thirds of the senate is just an exercise in futility. I understand that but don't like it; what's so hard to understand about how I feel?

Money well-spent, from a Law & Order standpoint. Let's keep in mind that the federal probe's main intent was to investigate the extent of Russian interference with the 2016 election.
Let's peruse the list, shall we? Yes, let's do just that.
1. George Papadopoulos: making false statements to the FBI 2. Paul Manafort: indicted on a total of 25 different counts by Mueller’s team, related mainly to his past work for Ukrainian politicians 3. Rick Gates: indicted on similar charges to Manafort 4. Michael Flynn: making false statements to the FBI. 5-20. 13 Russian nationals and three Russian companies:indicted on conspiracy charges, with some also being accused of identity theft 21. Richard Pinedo: identity theft charge in connection with the Russian indictments 22. Alex van der Zwaan: making false statements to the FBI about his contacts with Rick Gates and another unnamed person based in Ukraine. 23. Konstantin Kilimnik: Russian operative and longtime business associate of Manafort and Gates, who’s currently based in Russia, was charged alongside Manafort with attempting to obstruct justice by tampering with witnesses in Manafort’s pending case last year. 24-35. 12 Russian GRU officers: These officers of Russia’s military intelligence service were charged with crimes related to the hacking and leaking of leading Democrats’ emails in 2016. 36. Michael Cohen: pleaded guilty to 8 counts — tax and bank charges, related to his finances and taxi business, and campaign finance violations. Also made a plea deal with Mueller too, for lying to Congress about efforts to build a Trump Tower in Moscow. 37. Roger Stone: lying to the House Intelligence Committee about his efforts to get in touch with WikiLeaks during the campaign, and witness tampering.
Thirty-seven indictments, arrests, and/or convictions (includes plea deals)... a pretty good haul for the effort, I'd say.
And the best part: it hasn't cost the American taxpayers one thin dime yet. So far, the cost of all these proceedings have been offset by Manafort's seized assets
Which means: Special Counsel Robert S. Mueller has been playing with house money all this time. Like I said: money well-spent.
Civil Asset Forfeiture as it was meant to be used. Nope. Nothing to be bitter about at all... if one cares about bringing criminals to justice.

If you recall, 8-10 months ago I mentioned that the only surefire way of ridding America of Trump's influence was to defeat him at the polls, and that impeachment was an extreme long shot.
