Brzezinski rips 'woke' left on Biden: 'You're eating those who can beat Trump'

MSNBC's Mika Brzezinski on Tuesday defended former Vice President Joe Biden for a second straight day, calling allegations of inappropriate touching against him "ridiculous" and warning "woke" people on the left that they're "eating those who can beat Trump."

“I think the next time I see Joe Biden and he doesn't hug me, and give me a kiss and hold my hand while we're talking to you, that's the new Joe Biden, and that's not the Joe Biden I knew," Brzezinski said on "Morning Joe."

"He’s a nice guy, he’s not a predator, and this is ridiculous. Let me just say it, this is ridiculous," Brzezinski continued.

Biden is facing a crisis before the expected launch of his White House bid after he was accused by a second woman of inappropriate touching.

The allegations have shined a spotlight on Biden’s interactions with women, leading to new questions about his behavior and testing his relationships with Democrats.

Brzezinski said that the situation has “gotten out of control.”

"The conversation has gotten out of control," she said. "And Democrats and those on the left who want to tweet me today and go nuts and get all woke, you’re eating your young. You’re eating those who can beat Trump, you’re killing the very people who have been pushing women ahead, who’ve been fighting for equal pay, who have been doing everything they can to respect women in their lives.”

You seem to forget. This election was decided by a 0.57% of the vote combined in three mid western states. Biden is the perfect moderate type candidate it will take to change that. Now if you're saying he doesn't have a chance in hell of winning the Democratic nomination, you may very well have a point.

And no, that's not the new standard. However, it shows just how ridiculous this all is. Even those who are making these accusations do not claim it rises to the standard of sexual harassment. It's the very definition of making a mountain out of a mole hill.

I think you're all wrong on this one. Take away the fact he's a former senator and vice president and make him an average joe in an average work place, and he'd be out on his ear.

Your claim seemed to be that Biden wouldn't be able to relate to the average worker. My point is that it's been proven that those who run for office have very little in common with the average worker. Nothing could point that out more than the last presidential election.

I've heard a lot of liberals on this board point to "whatabouts". I'm not one of them. You can't point blame and point fingers at your neighbors without taking a look at your own house.

That wasn't my point at all. My point was, take away his status as a politician and make him a simple joe working in an IT office or wherever and let him pull these sniffing stunts of his (and whatever else he's doing) and he'd be fired in a heartbeat.

Then you can apply the exact same thing to the current president. I'm sure lying to your employer every day will insure you're not around for long.

That's what he doesn when hes trying to defend a stance he knows he shouldn't be. He got caught in a whataboutism, defending perverted behavior - but his hate for the other guy (which I can see why he hates him) blinds him from the fact that the other person isn't exactly mother Teresa.

There are ways to show affection without being creepy about it... like most normal human beings do. If a stranger walked up to you and started rubbing your leg/chest/neck while standing close enough to feel his breath, how would you react? If they did it to your kid?

Nobody is accusing Biden of anything like Kavanaugh was accused of. Kavanaugh tried to force himself on a girl or three. Big difference from unwanted personal space invasion and not one of these women have said a thing about feeling like he was moving on them.
