He got better as the season went on. Definitely has breakaway speed, elusive, and baker started finding him in the latter part of the year. A WR usually takes a jump year 2, so he could be a major weapon.

Given that he was out of football for a year before last season, this is even more impressive, and I think we might see a larger jump than normal come Year 2.

He's going to be WIDE OPEN a LOT... and defenses may have to start rolling coverage his way or get burnt deep all day.

Purp, defenses simply can't roll coverages his way. OBJ is the one who might get that treatment. Landry is second on that list. Callaway will be 3rd and benefit from the attention that others get.

The best thing is that teams might not be able to roll coverages too much because we have two of the top receivers in the entire NFL in OBJ and Landry. Also, Callaway has big play ability. Higgens is capable and Njoku is a freak athlete. Hunt is also an excellent pass receiver.

We're freaking loaded.

So to sum up the thread so far...

Diam's butt is overpaid and Peen spent more on his Chevy Blazer than Wait paid for his suit.

That's kinda exactly what I was getting at! smile

He can burn pretty much anyone deep, and at the start of the season, he will not be the one getting the attention from defenses.... that is going to lead to him being WIDE OPEN, a LOT! That is going to cause defenses to rethink who they try to roll coverages to... who do they take their chances with??

And, yes... all of that is before we trot Higgins or Njoku onto the field, too - or hit Hunt out of the backfield after the WR have taken everyone downfield laugh

I don't know. Some of us think that Landry is a damn good wide receiver and teammate. Some of us think that the Browns have acquired a lot of talent under Dorsey. It's only the Sashites that continue to spread their doom-and-gloom cast over the board.

Huh? There are fans who think Dorsey isn't acquiring a lot of talent?

Go figure. Some fans are never happy.

I'm always thinking this thread title is about cigarette butts, and the old signs, Cigarette Butts are litter too. (and pickles are too)

And Cigarettes are always overpriced.

Defenses are going to start out playing zone.

Baker is going to have to learn to move Safeties with his eyes, and actions.

Can Deshaun Watson play better for the Browns, than Baker Mayfield would have? ... Now the Games count.

They can try zone, but we have the speed to stretch them 6 ways from Sunday.

And Landry is great at finding holes.

I have faith Baker will get better in those areas you mentioned, and already used them pretty well for a rookie.

I look at this O lineup, and have to think that DC's on this year's schedule are already losing sleep over CLE.

An embarrassment of riches. I understand why you're so optimistic. This team may be more stacked than the Bernie-led Browns of the late 80's.

Why do we want to ruin the running backs? Aren't they criticalto our success ?

One that that jumps out from watching Chubb is acceleration.

He is way faster than you would think. You see him pull away from db's.

Man Chubb and Hunt. With all due respect to Mack and Byner these guys are better.

For the record...any top WR...most catches in his first 4 seasons I believe...So any WR of that caliber gotten in FA of course his contract will be over the top. We still have LOADS of cap room and we finally got a FA WR who is WORTHEY!

Overpaid...well technically yes cause we got him via FA what elite player in FA will not be over paid.

Question should be is he worth it...

EVERY FREAKING DIME!!!

Except we didn't get him from FA. We traded for him. tongue

More or less agree with the conclusion, though.

If Corbett can step up, we literally have NO HOLES on offense. None. Not one.
We literally have to start looking ahead to next year and the year after to see who might be leaving in order to find any "needs".

I can't think of a roster this stacked since 'The Greatest Show on Turf'.
