I was at Amelia Arena in Tampa for a Concert Sunday night during the game.
Between bands, everyone was in the halls watching the game on the TVs, I was surprised they didn't put it up on the big screen between bands.
We don't have to agree with each other, to respect each others opinion.

I think Calgary is the better team, but Nathan MacKinnon might be the best player - potentially - in this series. That said, I'll go with Calgary in 7.
I had to re-quote this, Nathan MacKinnon is an absolute joy to watch. Last night some guy basically had to tackle him on his way to the net because he was going to get blown right past him. Unbelievable wheels and a shot from the heavens. So damn good. Colorado can stack up scoring chances big time

That reversed goal was damn close but the right call.
I like the NHL offside challenge system. If you’re right, no goal. If you’re wrong, goal stands AND a penalty. Do you think that would work in the NFL? I’ve never liked the timeout removal because you’re getting a 3 minute break with the replay. Sure, that timeout might be needed later but that’s not really enough in my opinion. If you challenge a pass interference call or no-call, it might be better to toss a 15-yard “delay of game” if you get it wrong. I’d like that.

Islanders can put out the Penguins tonight. Up 2-1 going into the third. Who would have predicted that TB and Pitt might get swept?

Swept. Wow.
In the four games, they outscored the Lightning 19-8. Crazy.

What a huge upset, especially in a sweep. Congrats to CBJ , I'm glad they put out the Lightning.

I'm glad for Torts, too. He could be my hockey coach anytime. Old school, doesn't take crap... Cares about his players, defends them. He's an honourary Canadian IMO.

I looked at the NHL playof brackets, to get a feel of whom we may be playing in the next round, expecting us to play the winner of a #4 vs #5 matchup, considering we were playing a #1 seed.
I can’t seem to decifer the NHL playoff bracket. Everyone is 1, 2, or a wild card team. Good job Columbus.

I wouldn't worry about it yet. There are three other series going on in the Eastern Conference.
Edit: correction. Two others. Islanders just put out Pitt.

Alot of folks hate him but I've always said I'd have prospered under him. He's like many of my coaches from the 70's. A great series win for the CBJ!

Also, I agree, right call. Goalie interference being reviewable? Whole different story if you ask me.

Leafs up 3-2 on Boston in the series after a nerve-rattling game tonight. Matthews with his fourth goal in the last three games. My wife officially hates watching the playoffs with me, when Toronto is playing, because I'm pacing, cursing sometimes at the refs and generally unpleasant to be around.
I tell her it's not much fun for me, also.
Lol, it's the playoffs.
The boys can put out the Bruins at home. Gotta end it Sunday.

The boys can put out the Bruins at home. Gotta end it Sunday. I can only imagine! They are my team for the playoffs. Would love to see that drought end. The Matthews line is unbelievably fun to watch. Babcock is doing a wonderful job double shifting them when he feels like he may have the other team against the ropes. You don't want to abuse that and burn your guys out, but having to deal with that line every other time out can be rough on the opponent. Also had no problem with the no-call on the goalie interference review. The guy definitely made contact with Rask, but I don't think it was enough to impede his goaltending. That's why I hate the reviewing of interference. It's a judgement/interpretation call. You should trust your referees to get that kind of a call in real-time. Reviewing goals I have no problem with, because it's black and white. Just wait until football starts and we now have to deal with DPI being reviewable and having calls still upset people. They opened pandora's box with that one.

Colorado knocks out Calgary. Way to go #8 seeds! As long as you’re not a Calgary or Tampa fan, it’s fun to watch, but the league can’t be too happy about losing the best team from each conference. Sure, neither are huge TV markets, but it’s a bit alarming how easy it looks to take down a 1 seed. There’s not much a league can do to protect the top seeds, they already have home ice and the “better” team. I guess this is a byproduct of wanting league parity.

2013: Leafs led Boston 4-1 in game 7 with 12 minutes left. Boston won in overtime. Their comeback included two goals in the final two minutes. Kick in the balls.
2018: Leafs had a one-goal lead going into third period of Game 7, blew that one, too. Another boot to the nuts.
I hate Boston more than I hate the Steelers or Ravens. I really want this series, moreso because TB and Pitt are both out, and we'd have a legit shot to go really deep in the playoffs. No offence to Blue Jacket fans, and their sweep of TB was impressive, but I would much rather play CBJ, as opposed to Pitt or the Lightning.

Jake Gardiner makes me ill. Two giveaways in his own end , 2-0 Boston.
He's -7, as a defenceman, in last two game 7s. Choker.

Tough call on the knights that changed the game.
I'm still learning hockey but I'm familiar with this feeling.
LOL - The Rish will be upset with this news as well. KS just doesn't prioritize winning...
