But by all means, continue implying that Europeans are idiots who cant comprend laws or politics.
My wife is English, she grew up there, I lived in London for 14 years, her family still lives there and we have many friends there and we go back over fairly regularly. Yeah...I have a bit of an understanding of what's going on. Not to mention....I read.

You literally said the EU leads to monarchy ignoring that a quarter of the countries in the EU are monarchies. Did you think you weren't going to be clowned for such ignorance? Youre just butthurt because the truth about how awful the EU is, is getting out. I'm not the one who feels other countries should decide our laws. That would be PDX. I would take you a lot more seriously had you ever been to Europe or met anyone from there. I've been there plenty of times. But being a tourist means nothing. I trust the opinions of people I work with, and customers, who actually live there. Also, as I do business in the EU, I'm affected by EU laws, so I also have personal experience from a business perspective. Rather than the agenda driven drivel of people on this forum. The EU sucks.

Not sure where I said that or where you read that. I actually said there are things so complex that the common person shouldn't be expected nor trusted to decide on it. An informed decision is VERY important when it involves things as massively complex and sensitive as mega economies, borders and national security. I said the government, those who were elected, should be trusted on those matters. Because...that is why they were elected and they can make far more informed decisions based on the big picture than the common person on the street. I was also speaking specifically about Brexit and a general public vote on leaving or remaining and not the EU as a whole.

People are entirely entitled to deciding who should make the laws they live by. Its not really rocket science. For example...what happens to the many EU people currently living in Britain? What about the British living in the EU? This is just one issue that is now haunting both London and Brussels. Not too many people thought about that when they voted.
Not too many people thought about the complex economic issues or the borders between the EU and UK. The person in Sheffield didn't think about the people in Scotland who want to leave the UK, but remain in the EU. What about British military bases and troops/NATO...how are they affected? The Pound Sterling and the effect leaving the EU will have on it and the UK economy? Trade etc. etc.

Not sure if I would call them idiots, but the UK is in as much of a mess as we are. Boris Johnson, Nigel Farage and Jeremy Corbyn, however, are idiots. I am most definitely not a Tory, but I will say in May's defense that I don't think she is an idiot. She was handed a problem that was impossible for most to deal with. I'm surprised she lasted this long, tbh.

I don't think I'll ever understand Brexit... It's ok, now that the folks see what Brexit is all about, those who were conned will wake up and squash it. As Pit said.. I believe the people were conned prior to the vote. Now that they actually comprehend the repercussions of Brexit, they realize they were snookered. When is the election in Britain anyway?
