Just random. There's this guy from the game today. And everybody behind him had to move. I know standing at soccer games is a thing. At the MLS Cup the whole stadium stood all 90 minutes. But at what point do you become an ass? Maybe go to a section where they stand.

With a name like "I Stand", what did you expect?

Well, they won, but the refs hosed us. It should have been a draw.
I think they were the better team though.
Coach needs to find a better strategy.
Props to the LAFC Supporters, they were a good rowdy loud crowd and have a nice stadium.

I don't log on much any more. I find life happier without all the arguing in some of the threads Regardless, watching you guys now against the Galaxy. Looking forward to Atlanta's visit in a couple weeks. Yes the Seattle game was chippy - we have a lot of games like that this year. The game against the Galaxy was too last week and we completely took them out of rhythm to a 4-0 win. Speaking of last week the Thorns (NWSL, professional Women's league) had 22.5k people for a Wednesday night game. I'm stoked for tonight's game to see if that number is beaten.

Yeah tons of people! That was the tifo display and the whole stadium got to participate which was pretty cool as I never did that before. Normally only the Supporters Section does the tifo. Examples of MLS Tifo (keep in mind, these are typically made by the fans. Today's tifo I think was corporate funded.)

I like how many of those are Timbers TIFOs Only 19000 for the Thorns game last night, but 4 of the players were on the US Women's "victory tour". Back to back games in Minneapolis for us - today for league, Wednesday for US Open Cup. I normally don't care about the cups, but we're in the semi-finals... And if we win and Atlanta wins we play each other in the final in late August

That would be pretty cool if we play each other again. Our Semi Final is on Tuesday. I have fingers crossed for our teams.
And Timbers Army does make a lot of good tifo!

That was horrible. What a mess. Apparently Minnesota is a nice place for a vacation this time of year, nobody showed up to play.

My future husband, Josef Martinez, is out of the semi with an injury. He's our main striker. So we will have to see how this goes tonight.

Oh. We won. I guess we are hosting the Final! Reddit has the best comments. lololol
Let's have a rematch, Portland!
Also, I wasnt going to go to the game on Sunday. BUT then I looked at stubhub and some people are selling their suite tix for cheap. (Well, I dont know if 104 is cheap. But its on the side and not the corner or end.) Our opp is NYFC, they are a worthy opponent.
I have never been in a stadium suite before, so I had to get tix. Hopefully my phone still works on Sun, as my screen is cracked. I will be sad if I can't go. Does anybody know if I print out the bar code, will it work at the gate?

Also, Orlando will never be our rival, no matter how hard they try. But, they did some good tifo tonight. Credit where credit is due.

I'm gonna convert all y'all. If my phone doesn't die, I will share pictures of whatever goes on in the suite on Sunday.

I hope you do well actually, except when you play us (like next weekend). We blew it again. Back to league and focus on getting into the playoffs. We better darn well win tonight against Vancouver at home. If we TIFO tonight (it is a minor rivalry), I'll post it tomorrow.

I am back! We won! That luxury suite was an adventure. First, I got to use the secret side door entrance for suite people. No waiting in a gate line, just walk right in. They didnt even scan my ticket, they just looked at it. Then I took the special elevator up to the suite level and went to the suite. By then I was feeling like a Princess. It looked like this inside the suite: So, then you walk out and there are a couple rows of plush leather seats. Its a 30 person suite, but there was maybe 20 people. The row of suites. The view was awesome. I dont know why my phone makes it look a million miles away, but couldnt be a better view. The suite was catered, but unfortuately only took group orders. So they wouldnt sell me 1 beer, they would only sell me 6 beers. What am I going to do with 6 beers? So I walked down to the main concourse to grab my food and drink. My suite mates werent too loud during the game. (well not until 2nd half after they had some drinks). Usually I like yell and scream and sing the cheers. But I didnt get too loud because I didnt want to be obnoxious. The stands are much more rowdy. Overall, it was a great time. I will probabaly do that again. Much love team, for the great win!

Also, the people with the fear of heights in the Fears thread would have hated my seat. It was the first row and there was no railing in front of you. Just a plane of glass that goes up about 2 feet.
Everytime I stood up I felt like I was gonna fall over the ledge to my doom. It was freaking me out.

If you’d have had the six beers, the lack of a railing could’ve been an adventure.

One more story....during stoppage time at the end of game we got robbed by the refs of a penalty kick. It was blatent and the crowd was MAD.
The whole stadium started chanting REFS YOU SUCK! REFS YOU SUCK!
Over and Over. It was hilarious.

That was as bad as the hand ball non-call in our game. Clear penalty in both cases, but refs decided to do nothing about either. Didn't matter, we both won.
Speaking of winning - Thorns today sold out - 25,218 for a women's soccer game not involving the national team. Awesome stuff, and a win

Congrats on the big win Sunday. This weekend might be interesting - after playing incredible for the first 25 minutes (up 2-0), Chicago got a red card and we decided to fall apart. We barely beat a team with only 10 players 3-2. The last 65 minutes was too cutesy and lazy. If we play like that we lose to you 6-0. If we play like the first 25 minutes, we're all in for a hell of a game.

I'm sure it will be a good game. We don't have much luck when we travel out west, for whatever reason.
