*Note. Landry is a Cleveland Brown. I am glad that he is. I don't pay him. He has a contract that Dorsey signed. That means something to me.
How long he remains a Brown? I am unconcerned about. I care about 2019. He will help this team win games.
He was traded for and signed by Dorsey because of production, age, and "intangibles" like blocking downfield. He plays hard. He is good teammate and leader. I look forward to seeing him along with our other receivers.
Baker and Odell have the potential to become one of the great duos in the game.
We have 4 "max deal" type players, above all others, in Baker, Myles, OBJ, and Ward. We almost certainly will not be able to handle 5 max deals under the cap.
Jarvis will, eventually, be the odd man out.
7th post in the thread.

I was wrong. I was talking about the post from YTown that I replied to later where I said why can't we just enjoy what we have now and how things might change down the road........and why trigger the guys who like to trash Landry.
Just for clarification, I am not hoping for Landry to leave, but the realities of team salary structure almost demand that he will be gone after the 2020 season.

Landry does have relevance cause I think he will contribute in that success of Baker to Odell becoming a great duo. Every great duo has a 2nd banana. Also big on that success will be Njoku taking over the middle creating space and possibly single coverage against OBJ...but I get your dismay of posters arguing over Landry...I know I respond to posts and might have contributed...don't really know if I did...but if so - my apologies

I’d love to know what the best all time streaks are ... love to know what guys like Brady/brees and Rodgers numbers are in the red zone ...
I’d also like to know what his streak is with TD’s in a row in red zone trips ...
He did some things that are not only un rookie like but there things the best in the game do ...
I really hope he improves this year ... u never know after a rookie year like that .... i don’t see why he won’t improve ... not with this talent and Freddie leading the charge ...
How much fun do u think Freddie/Todd and the rest of the O staff is having designing plays for these guys ...
Interesting stats. You'd think that defenses would be able to do better with a shortened field to defend. Those TD:INT ratios are very high, almost down the entire list.

you mean plays like this?
I suppose they're having a blast.
Look at that. He flipped the ball to the Ref like it was his 100th TD catch. No big deal. Unlike some Defensive players who tackle a guy for a two yard loss and break out in a dance worthy of being in a "Footloose Movie"
E'rbody gotta rock it like they need to, Dawg. I ain't here to judge. If Myles wanna develop his own sack dance, I won't troll him (hehehe...) -as if Myles would ever-

I've watched that play about 20,30 times since it dropped. I LMAO every time. So clever. So creative.
I hope this level of unconventional s# gets a regular peppering throughout our season. It makes the games fun AH to watch. That 60-yard pass from Landry to Perriman v. CIN was electrifying.
They (start to) make up for all the decades of boring, lackluster, unwatchable Sundays The New Browns have inflicted upon this loyal fan base.
My favorite play was the throw to VG down the seam against the Jets ... to me that was the play that signaled the awakening, that we had arrived ... and what a great play on both ends ...
Bake had guts throwing it there ... big tiime cal-hones just to throw it and what faith he had in VG ... it was almost an impossible place for it to be caught while at the same time being the only spot he could have put it a defender would not have gotten it ... actually the defender got his hand on it big time but with his back to it ... VG literally just took it away ... and what an incredible catch ... WOW ..
That will always be the signature play for me that we’d arrived ... and what a great play on both ends ..
And now VG is the 2nd best Wr on the team ... talk about an embarrassment of riches ...

Or Greg Little, who would drop 3 consecutive passes that hit him in his hands, then finally catch a pass...and strike the 'Usain Bolt' pose.

Thanks for digging those up ... i don’t think I’ll ever get sick of seeing them ... there’s so many ...
We oughta start a thread of highlights of just last year .. so many GREAT moments for us ... talk about our favorite plays and why ...
Remember last year how excited U and I were when we got VG ... now we added OBJ to that .. are u kidding me ... *LOL* ... i feel like a gluten ... like when i was a kid and snuck in and ate my entire chocolate Easter bunny in one sitting .... *L* ...
As much as I LOVE these highlights ... i can’t wait til we start making more for next years ...
I went looking for VG’s catch against the Rats ... one of the most difficult I’ve ever seen seeing as how the DB was literally draped all over his back and landed on him and he somehow got his fingers under the ball and then held on fully extended with the db landing on him ...
And i wandered upon this one ... and we now have BOTH THESE GUYS ... we could do a thread on comparing there catches to one another ... to bad VG don’t have that extra gear ... but then gain we’d prolly not have him if he did ...
WE GOT BOTH THESE GUYS ... not fair but i’m Good with it .... *LOL* ...
Yeah, I got excited just watching those. You could feel the energy rise when Baker took over against the Jets.
We are loaded w/talent on the offensive side of the ball.
QB: Baker seems to have the "it" factor. He makes plays all over the field. I am not positive about this, but I think he will continue to ascend and become a dynamic qb.
WR: We have the best WR group in the NFL. And that isn't just my opinion. All kinds of former players, journalists, and media members are saying the same thing.
RB: Once Hunt returns, we might have the best pair of RBs in the NFL.
CB: Ward is a gifted corner. Made the Pro-Bowl as a rookie.
Edge: Myles is moving up the charts as one of the best. He has to continue to evolve, but he might become a top 3-5 edge rusher in the NFL.
LG: Bitonio, if he can stay healthy, is one of the top guards in the NFL.
We have other guys who may vault themselves into lofty rankings.
Dorsey has done a magnificent job of acquiring talent in a very short period of time. It's now up to three things in my opinion:
1. Coaching. 2. Will Baker improve? 3. Chemistry.
I think that we are going to get really good and be a contender over the next few years. I'm not sure it will all come together or not, but I think it should.
Hard to improve on perfect...lol But I'm sure he will add to the numbers. Many more TDs but also we will be getting still a lot of TDs from outside the Red Zone!
But sure hope he improves on that 110+ Red Zone rating!

I get the game pass every year. For me it is a great deal...I am in the Carolina's now and going to the Brownsbacker Bar will cost me 3/4 of that every week...LOL
There is one large downside...although for me I am able to turn that into a positive...You cannot watch the games live (outside of Thursday). And you have to wait until the last Day Game has completed. So about 7:30 - 8:00 pm ET. At that point you can get the entire game (COMMERCIAL FREE). So while that is a negative...for me...I can spend the day with my wife, so she doesn't feel like a football widow. I get to get things done and still see the game. It isn't all that hard to stay away from the scores...
Later you will get options to see a condensed game where they take out all of the huddles and dead time. You can also get an option to watch the coaches film showing a lot more of the field. Lastly, you can watch games from prior seasons for any and all teams. Add into things that you have 24 access to all this content....$99 a year isn't all that bad...
As a displaced Browns Fan...it works great for me...They rarely...IF EVER play the Browns on the local channels here...They didn't even play the Carolina game last year...they played Atlanta instead....Also I don't get DirecTV...nor will I and then pay for NFL Ticket...So for ...it works and works pretty well.
I thought I was wrong once....but I was mistaken...
What's the use of wearing your lucky rocketship underpants if nobody wants to see them????
