I don't think so. I think whoever gets the nomination will choose a running mate who appeals to a mass of population they feel they are not speaking to.

This is why Trump chose Pence. People questioned how he would get the religious right and bringing on Pence no doubt helped convince them. Same with Obama...people thought he was too left so he brought in a moderate from Wilmington, DE via Scranton, PA to help win over the industrial midwest.

I was just amazed at how aligned they were.

I do have to say this....I'm not feeling very confident that any Dem will appeal to enough "voters" to win the election. They bring things up that simply alienate folks.

I think IF one of them wins the nomination there is a reasonable chance the other is on the ticket considering that they are both highly popular in most states, even red ones. The idea of them taking somebody from the center to reachout to independents and moderates is the normal rationale for something like this but if a moderate like Biden or Pete win would they put Bernie or Liz on the ticket? Doubtful.

But you probably don't have to worry about this because moderates are hitting them with republican talking points to discredit them; you saw this last night. The media, moderates and republicans will all get on the same page to keep real democrats off the ticket.

This feels like the last election...the democrats just trash each other during debates, calling out negatives and just giving anyone who is undecided negative ammunition about any democrat candidate.

Actually, I believe you have forgotten that it was the Republicans who were trashing each other the most. Don't you remember Trump going after Rubio, Cruz, Christie and Bush?

As Pete B. said...if you are a "Progressive" they will call you a "Socialist" and if you are a moderate they will call you a "Socialist". Just stand up for what you believe in and be honest about it. Whether you like him or not, Bernie is certainly honest and passionate. I don't trust Delaney in the slightest. He had an agenda and he got schooled by both Sanders and Warren. I doubt his campaign survives into the autumn.
