The answer is he doesn't have a clue about building a team and is typical of the "I want it now" mentality of those that are in such an uproar.

Coach.. I have a question... we're going on 9 years of lousy football.. (with one blip of a winning season which was more or less a fluke)... when are we allowed to "want it now"? I'm not talking about any particular coach or gm or qb... I'm talking about us as the fans looking at the whole organization and saying, "Yea, I want to win now.".... Isn't 9 years enough? If we fire RAC does that give them 2 more years in which we aren't allowed to want it now?

DC-

My thinking is, there's a difference in "wanting it now", and wanting to show improvement now. Few teams go from as bad as we've been for as long as we've been, to playoff teams year after year in just one season. Wanting to be competitive and wanting to see that we are going in the right direction (Which is not what we are seeing right now), is one thing. But, I think it's unrealistic to "want it now".

Weis loses two games and now he's struggling? He took his team the first year very far, the 2nd year they lost very few games playing LSU in a Bowl game.

Don't give me anything about Weis struggling. That's rediculous. A guy can't have a down year? Not every program recruits like OSU........

Why would you be telling that to Jesus?
I would think he already knows that

Browns is the Browns

If you KNOW a guy can lead a team to a 14-2 record coming in,that sort of shortens the learning curve.

Hirings and firings in the coaching staff would be the FIRST indicator that the FO is ready to toss this season in the crapper.

How so?
You have a rookie QB,that without SOME experience, won't be ready for next year anyway. Delaying his on field time will lead to less production next year. Do you think we'll make the playoffs with Quinn OR DA at QB this year either way?

If not,why not at least invest this year developing your QB of the future?

Same goes with the coach. If you stick with RAC all year and just see "more of the same",you're just putting off the innevitable. Putting us yet ANOTHER year behind.

At some point we all must realise that there's "every chance" that NEXT year "can be the year". We have the rest of this year to get our ducks in a row to prepare for that oppertunity. If we waste this year NOT preparing for success next year? We will lose TWO YEARS! This year AND next.

Bringing Marty in ASAP,won't just help next year,it will help our development and continuity untill next year gets here. An investment in the future. Not continuing to travel down a failing path. Besides,I'd bet about anything you could bring Marty in at the bye and he could win more games the rest of the season than RAC could. And he's got the pedigree to prove it.

Intoducing for The Cleveland Browns, Quarterback Deshawn "The Predator" Watson. He will also be the one to choose your next head coach.

You know, on Sunday you kept going round and round on how everything that happened against the Steelers was Frye's fault. Now frye is gone and you are still going on and on with blame and wanting firings. Why is it you are hellbent on running half this team out of Cleveland because of 1 game?

When did I say in this post that I wanted firings??? I'm merely trying to analyze where we screwed up and why we are where we are. Everyone wants to blame Romeo...hell I'm actually defending him in some ways because he hasn't been given a full deck. But IF this does come down to Savage vs. Romeo, I'll take Savage.

I wanted #9 out of town cuz he sucked. He sucked so bad that he was given his walking papers 2 days later. I don't even need to defend my position on him that I've had for so many months because the HEAD COACH AND FRONT OFFICE ALREADY DID IT FOR ME.

Yeah, sure they did. After all, he was the QB they could get something in return for. Yeah, that defends your ignorant stance on QBs.....just like them drafting Troy Smith with the #3 pick does.

What time of year did I want him with the #3 pick again?

Oh wait, NOVEMBER. Draft boards tend to shift over a SIX MONTH PERIOD.

you would be hard pressed, I would think, to find a head coach or general manager who hasn't taken a stupid breath.

I wonder if Savage is getting to involved in the personnel and coaching and has basically castrated Romeo.

By this juncture? After what we've seen? I would certainly HOPE SO!

Yeah, so many draft boards drop someone from the #3 pick to the 5th round.

I seem to remember a signature of Smith, wearing a Browns Jersey...# 10... from December all the way through draft time.... not to mention a large number of "Draft Smith" posts during the same time frame....

There were a lot of us not happy about Frye last year. I was in favor of bringing in a starting quality vet... others wanted another rookie... Well, we got a rookie. Now we have to play the cards we are dealt.... Let's all hope Anderson plays well and Quinn develops....

Gee, the way people pile on Ammo around here about Troy Smith, you'd think he was the only one who completely missed the boat when pimping a college player.

As for his jumping on and off team's bandwagons, well I don't respect that much but whatever, I don't really care who he roots for and when.

I've NEVER given up on the Browns, for the record.

Been sick as hell over them? Yeah. But I've never given up on the Browns.

On the Indians though? Guilty as charged...they underachieved last year and I was dating a Yankees fan and I budged. Then I broke up with her and I'll never go back to the pinstripes.

But then again, if you look at the Tribe attendance, seems like a bunch of people went with me as well...

EDIT: and for the record, I couldn't date a Bengals or Steelers fan even if I tried.

I'll never give up on the Cleveland Browns either...

regardless of the loss, I still ordered a Browns t-shirt last night...

I will forever let people know that they are my favorite NFL team.
