SF running too much time off the clock here, gonna give PItt the last possession. These two things do not make sense together. Yes they do. There was 6:30-ish on the clock when they took over possession. You want to either run the clock out entirely, which is hard to do because the field is so short, so in that case you want to take shots at the end zone and leave enough time that if Pitt can drive for a FG you still have ~1 minute for a return FG drive. If they got it on the 40 it would be a different story because you could just run the clock out entirely. We'll see tho, maybe they'll manage to run it out cuz of all these penalties eating up extra time.
