well....our defense stopped the run last week. but Baltimore's run game is on a different level. hopefully we get some guys back from injury, especially in the secondary.

as proud as our defense played, Kupp and Cooks still went for over 100 yards a piece. Now? we got two really good TE's, and an explosive WR in hollywood Brown we have to cover.

and then obviously, can we contain lamar jackson? if we let him escape and roll out, it could be a long day. he's making more and more plays from the pocket, but its still a priority to KEEP him there.

however, baltimore's defense can be absolutely burnt through the air. and there's some holes to exploit on their line. but can we with our current offensive scheme?

this will be a close game.

Baker Mayfield: 245 yards, 2 TD's, 2 TO's (pick, fumble)
Chubb: 21 carries, 125 yards, TD
Landry: 6 catches, 76 yards, 1 TD

Defense, 4 sacks, no TO's.

ratbirds 24-21

Their offense is tough to stop and their defense is still good, physical, and top-tier.

Plus, it’s on the road and our offense is what it is.

Baltimore 26
Cleveland 17

I think that baker and Freddie are frustrated with themselves and then with the second guessing of them as a tandom by the media.

That chip baker loves just grew 10 fold.

Baker goes off this game. I can feel it. Balt secondary is pure hot garbage.

Lamar struggled with EVERY throw against KC that the ball was more than 10 yards down field. Consistantly overthrew guys. Make him throw, he will struggle. KC let off the gas and that's what allowed Balt to come back into the game. They are not as good as their record/stats suggest.

Our defense is good enough to stop him. Play wide and contain the outside, and rush the middle and in his face. He will throw 3 picks.

Sheldon and Larry are key this week clogging up the run game.

I think we blow it out this week as Freddie goes back to what works

Baker 25-33 302 yards 3 TD
Chubb 20 Carries 138 yards 1 TD hes gonna break a BIG one this week - hes due.
Odell 7 catches 95 yards 2 TD
The Siebs 2/2 FG 4/4 Extra points

Def - 4 TO, 3 picks and strip sack from Myles

34-17 Browns

Man, if we score 34 points on the Ravens after the past 3 weeks of seeing our offense, I’ll be more than shocked and happy

Good guys 17

Could be worse if Freddie doesn't figure himself out. We need some sacks and at least one takeaway.

Get the beers ready, my friend. Its coming!

I am sick of the doom and gloom! Freddie and Baker know whats up, they know the score - and will be prepared to make the leap.

with the number of injuries we have... I wouldn't expect too much from us.

If we can get 1/2 of them back we have a fighting chance.

I'm just happy the game is at 10am PST.

The rest I really don't know. Don't want to be too negative. You guys drove me crazy last week with your whining.

This is is the ultimate wait and see game for me. Game 4, quarter of the season about to wrap up. Are we improving or stuck in quicksand.

I think the ship will be righted and we'll eventually contend for the playoffs, but it won't be this week. I'd like to be wrong, but I predict...

You’re right Rish ... I like us on prime time, but we will be again in week 5 ... so I like a standard 1:00 here this week

I actually think we come out and have a strong outing on offense. Simply because I believe Freddie or baker are tired of the finger pointing and they know what they did last year. Freddie realizes the error he made was making a new offense around his new weapons instead of just adding a new weapon to a working formula. If we can control their run game we should win

I have a feeling we win. I have no idea why, but I think we'll get this turned around this week.

Do I have to put up a score and stats if I bet a cool $500k on the Browns to win straight up?

If they lose this one, the division could get away quickly. In my mind this is as much of a must win as a week 4 game can be.

I hope we get some of CBS bad announcers ... maybe we just need to be back where we’re used to being ... underdogs on the road at 1pm with crap analysts

I predict a full house...stadium.

I have no idea really. The D was stout against the Rams with 5 starters out! I'm trusting our D coordinator to have them ready against Lamar and crew, especially seeing how effective they were against the run.

And I believe our O can muster 21 points. Sooo...21- 17 us guys.

Good point ... sometimes pressure against lamar can burn you just as easily as help you

I'd rather not pressure Lamar.

Lamar is no different than Baker in that he really doesn't know what he's looking at. The difference is you can't get your hands on him, and that can be demoralizing when you almost have him then he continues to pick up yards.

MAKE HIM A PASSER. PUT A SPY ON HIM. It's time for the Vick defense.

i agree with the spy. the issue is that kirksey was our fastest LB, or one of our fastest, and he's out. and i dunno if i want schobert spying lamar. our DB's are gonna have their hands full enough with brown and both TE's

I wouldn't worry at all about their passing game as long as you can keep Lamar in the pocket. Their receivers are going to make a few plays, but we have the horses to match up with them.

My only concern is the near sack, miss, scramble, big play. If we can contain that, we'll win. If not, it's going to be tough. I think our team is mentally weak and our offense will continue to struggle. I think the defense can carry us to a win as long they limit demoralizing plays by Jackson. If not, you'll see the body language slowly turn and they'll start giving up.

I agree. I think the offense will continue to struggle. How much can you get corrected in three days? They just got back to practice today. I just don't see how that's possible.

I think we can win this defensively as long as we contain Lamar. But if the offense is crapping the bed and Lamar makes chicken salad out of chicken chit over and over again, they'll roll over. The Browns always do.

And I've watched a lot of Jackson this year. You cannot get your hands on that guy.

again bro. keeping lamar in the pocket doesnt mean the same thing it meant last year. i dont think people realize the jump he made as a passer. he will shred us in the pocket if we dont cover those really good TE's properly. and he's hit Hollywood brown deep FROM the pocket.

baker is still the better passer clearly, im just saying lamar made some surprising progress fast.

he's making more and more plays IN the pocket. and if we dont maintain gap integrity, he can and will burn us right up the middle.

It's the lesser of two evils. I'll take Lamars passing over his running any day of the week. I recognize he's improved his passing, but he still has a long way to go.

I do have some hope since Wilks had a bona fide game plan last week. A smart game plan that actually worked. I think that was a very encouraging sign for the defense. They're going to come up with a strategy week to week to put us in a position to succeed.

Overthinking it, I looked at O&D rankings.

3 questions came up:

a) is Bal's O good because they've played bad defenses or the defenses are bad because they played Bal's O?
- Baltimore is #1 ranked offense, but have played #24, #30, and #32 defense

b) is Cle's D good because they've played bad offenses or the offenses are bad because they played Cle's D?
- Cleveland D is ranked #10, but have played #16, #27, and #32 offenses

c) is Cle's O bad because they've played good defenses or the defenses are good because they played Cle's O?
- Cleveland O is ranked #24, but have played #3, #6, and #21 defenses

Hard answers because of only 3 games...

We give up about 22 points a game, that feels right to me. We score 16 pts a game, but scored 23 against the Jets. That seems about right against Baltimore.

So I'll say 23-23 tie (I did predict one tie this year).

Baker 20 for 33, 290 yards, 2 TD
Chubb 18 carries, 70 yards
Siebert perfect 2 for 2 on both FG and XP
Defense allows 350 yards, gets 2 TOs and 2 sacks

I think their defensive stats are bloated from the first two games.

I think our defense will be the best they have seen so far. I see Chubb running all over them.

Keep Lamar from running wild and we win
