Broncos QB Joe Flacco (neck) ruled out vs. Browns; Brandon Allen to start

nfl.com/news/story/0ap…

Not sure if this is a good or bad thing the way Flacco has been playing.

Meh, 6th round QB that's never played a snap? Unless he's the second coming of Brady this should be an easy game to win.

Bronco's are a nemesis team for us...don't know how anyone can think any game will be a cake walk for this train wreck after what you have seen on the field this season...go Browns..

Looking at the schedule we have to win the next two games: at Denver and vs Buffalo. Those are two 50/50 type games (like the Titans, Seahawks, Rams) .. we need to win them now

"First down inside the 10. A score here will put us in the Super Bowl. Jeudy is far to the left as Njoku settles into the slot. Tillman is flanked out wide to the right. Judkins and Ford are split in the backfield as Flacco takes the snap ... Here we go."

One game at a time. And, I can't help but think that we (fans) were all criticizing NE, SF, Buffalo and even Baltimore for not playing anybody. Yet, now here we are all excited that we have entered the "easier" part of the schedule. I am one who believes if you want to be the best you have to beat the best and we haven't proved we can do that. So, unless the mojo gets working and they start clicking I don't know how legit we will be as a playoff team (simply going on our current losses).

There is zero chance this happens.

This isn't a team. We've played as a team in one game then immediately regressed back to the mean.

It's a shame too considering the state of the AFC North. But this is who the Browns are. They're not even lovable losers. Just losers.

A few wins would no matter who we play.

Buffalo isn't very good. I wouldn't be surprised if they miss the playoffs despite their easy schedule. It would be nice to beat them (and we should) in case there's a tiebreaker for playoffs.

I remember reading the board and seeing many not worried about the 49ers, predicting we'd blow them out. I was one of the few, if not the only one who was worried and thought we'd lose.

I predicted we'd beat the Patriots, yes. We did outplay them for much of the game. 3 turnovers on 3 consecutive plays killed us. That has to be some kind of record, but they still didn't impress. Zero turnovers and we win that game.

Device, I will bet you any amount of money the Browns don't win the next 4. Actually I will bet you any amount of money they don't win 3 out of 4.

I respect what you're doing here...

But the chance it happens is actually higher than zero.

I get it, one game at a time. But I don't play, I watch.

The only team in the next 7 games I'm worried about is Arizona. And we probably lose to Pittsburgh once. 7-7.

Good chance I'm wrong in one direction or another.

We will win 3 of 4 for sure. The game against Pittsburgh is iffy.

We don't have to bet any amount of money, you can just buy me a beer. 2 after we go 4 for 4.

Agreed. I hate being negative but I won't believe our Browns will win until it actually happens. Our final 9 games could be against the teams with the 5 worst records as of now and I wouldn't be surprised if we were just 5-4. We beat ourselves constantly and do it in new and creative ways. The shovel pass for an INT. and the ball being kicked out of Chubb's hand is definitely a new wrinkle. Don't think I've ever seen that done grin before.

I'm not really doing anything. I was probably overly optimistic about the season record-wise but I always maintained the season would go as Baker goes. I was nervous before the first four games of the season to the point I had a hard time enjoying the games. I let my guard down for SF because I thought the team had shown real growth against Baltimore from Freddie on down. I was able to write that game off as an outlier especially after learning Freddie flew the team out on Sunday. I thought we were going to put on a good showing against Seattle. As I was watching that game I felt like it was all coming together until...

We ran a hurry up at the end of the half up 8 pts, 1st and goal, all of our timeouts, and Seattle without any timeouts. And it just hit me...this organization is rotten to its core. Everything it touches spoils. That's just who the Browns are. We are the idiots who keep tuning in. Change the coaches, players, all the faces...it doesn't matter.

Organizations like the Browns don't go on 4 game winning streaks. We'll be lucky to get 2 out 4. We'll be starting over with a new coaching staff next year...the 4th head coach for Baker. Maybe 5th as it's likely Freddie will get canned before the end of the season. They could hire a nobody or Bill Belichick and it won't matter...the Browns just aren't winners. It's not in their DNA.

I feel better now...

"Organizations like the Browns don't go on 4 game winning streaks."

Mangini had the last one, I believe. They do happen.

And I think the use of "organizations" is flawed logic. I don't believe it has anything to do with the organization itself. I guess far more people believe we are cursed than I realize. I don't believe we are cursed.

The only team with a losing record we've faced so far this season is the Jets. We won. The only team with a winning record we face in the next 7 games is the Bills. And the Bills aren't that good....

I get it, we aren't well coached. But we do have talent on this team, on both sides of the ball. I get there isn't any high hopes that we will execute, but if we do and eliminate turnovers, we will win.

I fully expect us to win a bunch of games the final 9 contests... and if we don't, everyone will get what they want and we'll get a new coach.

Unless this collection of individuals solves its collective cranial rectalysis and gets its act together, we shouldn't be penciling in ANY victories.

We're a bad team. Comically bad.
What makes it worse is how much potential we have..... we're that kid in class that is the smartest in the room, no matter what room he walks into, but he ends up a high school drop out because he's too busy getting high and can't figure out how to get out of his own way and just do the things he knows he should be doing.

Flacco's out and some 6th round rookie is going to start? Who the heck are the Browns to say that makes it a Win? Has anyone paid attention to the history of this team?

Ditto the Steelers without Big Ben..... we made Charlie Batch look like he should get a gold jacket tailored in Canton.

Cinci & Miami are the only ones we can even consider and that's only because they will try harder to lose than we will. Period.

These guys on our roster aren't a team, and they don't take their job seriously -- the proof is right there in the stat line every week with the number of penalties and utter stupidity they conduct.... so what makes anyone think they can beat another team just because they lost one player?

Just here to let everyone know that as of tonight, we are now 3rd in the division, behind the ravens and Steelers.

The Steelers have started their backup QB and third stringer this season.

I disagree.

Coaches can only do so much, and the NFLPA prevents them from doing some of the things people have suggested in here (like fining a player for penalties... players can choose to institute that sort of system among themselves, but the teams cannot do it to the players).... and it isn't like Freddie can just up and decide to bench half the offense to make his point, either.

At some point, the men getting paid to be professionals have to take it upon themselves to start acting, focusing, preparing, and playing like professionals -- and then have their heads in the game ALL GAME.

LOL! Watch Brandon Allen have a Hall of Fame day against us.

Looking at how horrible Flicko has played this year, this is actually a positive for the Donkeys AND NOT US.

3rd in the division at this point in the season is such a disappointment. Of course we’ve had the toughest schedule, but the Steelers are severely lacking on offense and find ways to win.

We’re the exact opposite

if we won games... we wouldn't have the toughest schedule.

That is why NE never has a tough schedule. They win.

That’s true of course, but it’s also a little bit luck of the draw this year with NFC opponenents.

We’ve played: LA, SEA, SF
Pats have played: WASH, NYG

I maintain none of this should matter. It would be nice if the Browns just went out and won. Tennessee and Seattle should have been wins. They don't know how to win.

The last time we fielded a professional football team that had a chance to win every Sunday was under Pettine and Shananhan. Of course, Haslam and Farmer put a stop to that.

The Browns are victims of their own actions. They don't deserve to win. It sucks for the fanbase but maybe the fanbase doesn't deserve to win either.

I took the Browns -3.5.

I think our defense alone can win this one. Maybe.

Given that Dorsey stated clearly before the season even started that this was going to take time and was going to be a slow process that people were going to have to have patience with, I'm betting he keeps his job anyway.

I agree, a lot of “us’” are understanding that it’s been a tough stretch of games here .. BUT if we don’t beat Denver considering their circumstances as well, then it’s a disaster
