Special Teams were solid again,
Defense played well enough to win; Vernon's best game to date,
Oline was adequate overall; run blocking was decent,
Chubb ran hard again; the 2 fumbles were bad luck,
Penalties continue to plaque us,
The weather was not as much a factor as I thought,
This season is reminiscent of 2008.
When the debate is lost, slander becomes the tool of the losers...Socrates

Before season started my biggest was concern if we had the coaching to deal with this talent. It’s apparent we don’t. Not even close

Beat Robert Kraft to the punch and hire Steve Belichick. Kid will be good. I'm sure the deal in NE is already done though... If Freddie is a goner, it's got to be McDaniels. It's the only move that would make any sense. IF FK gets let go it won't be until post season play. Still a big IF too. That's alot of crow to swallow for John Dorsey.

I hope the story was true about Kitchens wanting a false start to save a timeout and going for it on 4th and 16 instead of 4th and 11.
That should just about seal his fate. This is also coming from a coach decided not to run the ball before halftime so they could get the ball back and score twice.
If it's not Chaos, it's not Cleveland.

I have thought about and pictured G William's snickering in NY...didn't he kind of call this?

3 turnovers was -17 points. We lost by 14..... First one was a fluke pure and simple. Second one was on Chubb. Third still has me baffled and sick. Patriots only scored 10 points w/o our help? D did it's job when it had a chance. How do you stop the Penalties? Seriously I want to know. Freddy needs to give over the play calling and clock management.

Baker threw the ball solid. Anyone have comments about the OL? Our new left tackle seemed to play with grit.

Seven of the dumbest things I've ever seen in football:
1) Starting the game in the rain against world champs with four straight passes when you have one of the best RBs in the league.
2) Shuttle pass in the rain.
3) A two-minute drive with absolutely no urgency and calling running plays with no time outs remaining.
4) Challenging an obvious first down spot.
5) Creating an intentional penalty with special teams to save a timeout on 4th and eleven when you intend to go for it on 4th down.
6) Going for it on 4th and 16.
7) Challenging an offensive pass interference call when challenges are 0-22 (now 0-23) across the league.

6) Going for it on 4th and 16 after running the punt team out on 4th and 11 to take a false start penalty in order to save a timeout.
Fixed it for ya.

Only thing worse would have been to call a draw on 4th and long ... I mean, who does that
"First down inside the 10. A score here will put us in the Super Bowl. Cooper is far to the left as Njoku settles into the slot. Moore is flanked out wide to the right. Chubb and Ford are split in the backfield as Watson takes the snap ... Here we go."

Jc...
-You see the best coached and most disciplined team (our opponent)...You see the worst disciplined and coached team (us)
-I don't recall Chubb fumbling last year, past 2 games he has 3 fumbles... He did run hard it was nice to see a running attack, and it looked like they couldn't stop it....unfortunately we stopped ourselves.
-We waited 2 weeks to see the same product.
-Eric Murray did have a nice sack when him and Mack came in...However this guy gets picked apart and is weak at tackling
-I don't trust a single player in our secondary to come up with a stop
-Greedy seemed to be picked on often in the 1st half
-Seems like our LBs are lined up awfully close together...Mack Wilson needs seasoning and Schobert makes some good plays, then wiffs on his fair share as well...Kirksey injury hurts, and we have little to depth here. Though I hate the 4-2...makes sense since our LBs are weak
-Oline looked reasonable...didn't even notice the new LT (seems like he didnt commit the stupid penalties Robinson constantly does) Kush and Hubbard seemed better today on the right side...could be wrong though.
-Higgins...we need to get him more involved...had an amazing catch, and that OPI call was bogus.
-Pharaoh Brown gets a flag every game...does not deserve to be on this team
-Baker if the ball isn't coming out fast, then he seems to taking a sack...I already know its over when his read/throw is covered
-OBJ has so many easy drops this year, despite teams blanketing him...Our offense is so stagnant...coaching needs to answer this, its past the point of getting old.
-I don't usually call for a coach's head, but I truly believe Freddie is handicapping this team....it is a mess, and seems to be worsening and the players seem even more frustrated anymore.
-Vernon had a nice sack, as did Myles...Seems like beyond that we are stagnant in the middle, and msot of the time Vernon is neutralized....However that Dline surely isn't living up their names.
-This has been the most disappointed I have felt in a long time, only because I expected better...This isn't much different than our last era.

I wonder what this offense would look like with a basic WCO playbook. I feel we could eat teams alive. Instead, we have to put up with watching this cutesy, outsmart-ourselves, shoot-ourselves-in-the-foot bull$#!% offense week in and week out.

I'm telling you here and now, Freddie will win the downhill portion of the season on a much easier schedule and be lauded as the second coming by seasons end. There is not a good standout interim coach on this team, so he is not getting fired now. I thought it was a mistake when they hired him and got pummelled for saying so... Big Dumb Hick. But now, I'd rather hold on to him and see if he learns enough this season to be a real coach next year. I can't imagine he's not learning from any of these horrendous mistakes. My vote is for continuity unless we finish under 500.

I understand the love affair with nick Chubb, by all accounts he is a great player and person, but fact is we lost the game because of his turnovers today. And don’t Give me the bad luck bs, secure the ball and a random foot won’t knock the ball loose.
Secondly I totally disagree with the idea that the defense played well enough. NE is a terrible offense with few weapons and an aging Qb, and even when NE did not score they controlled the ball and ate the clock.
Thus far obj has not even been close to worthy of what we gave up to get him. He doesn’t even look like he knows where to line up half the time, bench him for Higgins.
Oline looked good considering facing that defense.
As an ou fan I’m shocked how great seibert has been
Denzel is a play maker

Lol you say hospital ward is a playmaker and then blame the loss on a top 5 back...right An aging qb who happens to be better than any qb in history by a large margin. Brady at 50% is better than most of the qbs in the league including baker

And Freddie just confirmed it....
This is truly unbelievable. Coupled with the challenge on the pass interference call, it's a really bad look. It makes him look like he is in over his head. On top of that you have all the penalties. I just don't know what to think. This looks really bad.

We'll have to see what the Haslams decide to do. The only thing that matters. He has been silent thus far. Based on his history I can't see him sitting on his hands.

Penalties and turnovers are not caused by bad playcalling. They are caused by lack of discipline and poor execution.
