Nice win for PJ Fleck. It's good to see yet another MAC coach doing well at the Major conference level.

Ohio State wanted to cover the spread today, and wanted to run up the score even though they've had the backup QB in since the start of the 2nd half, breaking the belt on Maryland 73-14, it was 44, or 49 to 0 before Marylands first score came off of 1,2,3,4, consecutive 15 yard and automatic first down penalties, to set up a play from the red zone,
Marylands 2nd score came after a 60 yard kickoff return.
They've had freshman rb's (croley) and freshman wr's I've not seen before today, in there for the buckeyes, most all of the 2nd half.
But the big story of the day, So far, isn't 73-14 Buckeyes with a minute to go,
It's Minnesota getting to 9-0 and beating Penn State, Minnesota's first 9-0 in 115 years, since 1904,

Makes the Penn State game a tad less dramatic. Not that I was worried about it.

I think I want LSU. Bama can still get in with 1 loss....not sure LSU would.
The SEC should get 2 teams in every year.
LSU, Bama, Georgia, Auburn, Florida....just too many good teams that could walk in if in another conference.
The SEC is a 5 deep elite team conference year in and year out...the others are 1, maybe 2 deep.
I know many of you will disagree out of pride, and this isn't smack talk. Just real talk.
Could OSU win the SEC....sure, but they could also have a loss or two.
My point is when you keep facing good teams, somebody is going to win, someone is going to lose. It doesn't make the loser a bad team.

They have beaten nobody this year, they would not have beaten LSU, and probably aren't getting a bid for the conference championship. So no, sorry, even if they beat Auburn at the end of the year, they have no business being in a playoff. Sorry, but you're the typical delusional SEC fan. The conference is not as good as you think it is. It's been a one team conference for the last few years.

Alabama's schedule, just in case anyone hasn't seen
W, Duke W, NMSU W, South Carolina W, USM W, Mississippi W, Texas A&M W, Tennessee W, Arkansas
Currently Playing LSU, with @MSST, WCU, and Auburn left on the schedule
Uh yeah give me a break that they get in even if they lose this game.
That schedule is TRASH.

This is the second college football game I've sat down to watch all year.
Patrick Surtain II just got beat on a pass.
Antoine Winfield Jr. plays for Minnesota.
Thaddeus Moss is on LSU.

And most level-headed fans know that if the Buckeyes were in a situation like Alabama, they would not be getting in with a loss. Alabama has 8 wins, and 5 of them are against some of the worst competition in division 1 football.

Well the problem with that is they lost to a bad South Carolina team. And struggled with a very overrated Notre Dame team. Sure Georgia will move into the top 4 when the next rankings come out, but they haven't been all that impressive this year.

My point is when you keep facing good teams, somebody is going to win, someone is going to lose. It doesn't make the loser a bad team. Why don't one of those teams just join the Big 10, Look what happened to Nebraska, Penn State has held their own, but not like before they joined the Big10-(I'm told, because really never heard of em) But Nebraska used to be a top program, and wouldn't have had 4 years like these last 4. Maybe, just get rid of conferences, make better teams play each other more often, and the most revolutionary thing I advocate, Selection committee can select a two team, 4 team, or 6 team playoff at the end, and it's entirely up to them. But Ya, Let the SEC teams join the Big10, the only one I have top respect for is Alabama, that's because they always had to fight for it too, in the 1990's when all the favoritism was going to the florida and California schools, Alabama had to fight for respect back then too. But Alabama's been really good, really solid, even "before" Nick Saban went there.

Tua looks uncomfortable right now ... Bama down 16-7 and it could be worse
"First down inside the 10. A score here will put us in the Super Bowl. Cooper is far to the left as Njoku settles into the slot. Moore is flanked out wide to the right. Chubb and Ford are split in the backfield as Watson takes the snap ... Here we go."

He should just go down and start humping Tua....sheeesh.

I guess LSU should have gone for a few of those 4th and shorts at midfield this half. Playing it ultra conservative is going to make them lose this game.
