They just mentioned the gun incident on TV. A white kid claimed he was jumped by the black kid who was hit with the bottle at the party the night before along with two other kids. The white kid claimed the gun was stolen from him by the 3 while the black kid claims the gun was pulled on them first.

If that guy would have been in the hospital for days, maybe I could agree but since the guy was at a party later that night, attempted murder is too much!!!

I don't know all the facts, haven't read much of the thread, but I have to figure that if 6 guys were beating one guy with the intent to kill him, which is what "attempted murder" is... unless they were interrupted, they could have gotten a whole lot closer than a couple hours stay in the hospital...

The reason that the black guys jumped on the white guy was suppose to be because the white guy started taunting the one black guy in the group about the beating they( whites) gave him! Now again, if that white guy was injured more and had not went to a party later that night, maybe I could see the attempted murder. But with all the other circumstances in the town, I would have given them a assault charge!

but my question is, if you know, how did the beating END? Did the black guys just stop and walk away? Were they interrupted? Did they think he was dead or near dead? Because if he was still struggling, I'm guessing they could have gotten him a lot closer to dead... which would warrant attempted murder... if they just got up and walked away and he had a couple hours in the ER, the attempted murder is excessive.

On top of that, they are all just kids. The town is just horribly corrupt and I can probably find quite a few examples of where their government officials have broken at least 2 amendments of the constitution. The DA should be locked up, as should the entire jury from the first trial and the defense attorney.
