So as of 12/29/2019 Pacific time the Browns, Panthers, and Washington need a head coach. Dallas, Jacksonville, and the Giants will need a new head coach some point in the next couple of days.
I say the Panthers hire Greg Roman, Washington Ron Rivera, Dallas Matt Rhule, Jacksonville Mike McCarthy, Giants Kevin Stefanski.
If you have those all correct I'll buy you a bottle of scotch.
And I'll help you drink it!
Don't blame the clown for acting like a clown. Ask yourself why you keep going to the circus.
"First down inside the 10. A score here will put us in the Super Bowl. Cooper is far to the left as Njoku settles into the slot. Moore is flanked out wide to the right. Chubb and Ford are split in the backfield as Watson takes the snap ... Here we go."
We’d at least hav intel on the Ravens and Joe Burrow haha

A job is only considered a promotion if you are going from an assistant coach to head coach. QB coach to offensive coordinator is not considered a promotion.
And I believe Chubb would flourish under Martindale he already said Chubb was the best RB in the NFL … I am not saying I would take him but if it came down to him or McDaniel I would take Wink

The sight of the guy makes me wince because it makes me remember him coaching our team...
but what about trying to get him as our next OC. Dude seems to have a knack for getting offenses to play well.
and I don't care about OBJ's feelings on the topic.
There is no level of sucking we haven't seen; in fact, I'm pretty sure we hold the patents on a few levels of sucking NOBODY had seen until the past few years.
I doubt he would consider us after being HC here ...

You're probably right, but I bet he could do good things with the offensive roster we have in place (not even considering offseason adds).

I still think McDaniels will be the guy, with McCarthy a close second (60-40)
However, if the plan is to keep Dorsey, there isn't a better candidate than Jim Caldwell.
Caldwell will work with Dorsey, there will be no power struggle, players respect Cadwell, and Cadwell has gotten to a Super Bowl, and has the best modern era coaching record for the Detroit Lions taking them to the postseason twice in 4 years.
Caldwell may not be flashy, but the guy has only one season with more than 8 losses in his entire coaching career.
If the plan is to keep Dorsey, Caldwell is probably the absolute best fit.
Even though McCarthy and Dorsey, Wolf, and Highsmith all were together in Green Bay, that doesn't mean they liked each other. I'd think McCarthy would want a say on roster and draft choices...not sure Dorsey would want that.
Caldwell is a very good coach who will do what he has always done at every stop, work under his GM and produce with the players he is given.
Caldwell deserves another shot as an NFL Head coach, all the guy has done is win and make the playoffs, he was so close to a Bowl ring...He would really help Mayfield too
Anyone else find it odd what’s going on with Garrett and Jones in Dallas? It’s like stringing along here. Now a 2nd meeting is scheduled to talk, but he was told to let the assistants all go.
He’s under contract thru 1/15, so maybe they just don’t want the Giants to interview him for intel ... but it’s strange

I'd think Cincy would jump on this whether they're looking to replace the coach or not for the chance to keep Burrow with Brady.
Here's a blank sheet of paper for the organizational chart and my check book. I'll leave you be for an hour or two while you fill in with what you think you need to be the next HC of the Browns. Can I get you any coffee before leave?
The more things change the more they stay the same.
The Dallas Cowboys were expected to make major changes after missing the playoffs, but owner Jerry Jones has apparently gone above and beyond by cleaning house.
In addition to not bringing back head coach Jason Garrett, the entire Cowboys coaching staff has been let go, according to Mike Leslie of WFAA.

While some likely had their contacts tied to Garrett length-wise, this is still a major housecleaning. This includes names like offensive coordinator Kellen Moore, who will almost certainly be an intriguing name in coaching circles even if some of the shine wore off after a great start to the season. It does mean that whoever the next coach of the Cowboys is will probably have some significant say in the assembly of a new staff.
What is clear is that Jones was not happy with Dallas missing the playoffs. He had a warning for Garrett and the coaching staff toward the end of the season, and Jones did not mess around when things failed to improve down the stretch.

Usually what it takes and a good step in getting your man. IF that's the man you want.
“To announce that there must be no criticism of the President, or that we are to stand by the President, right or wrong, is not only unpatriotic and servile, but is morally treasonable to the American public.”
The article says "in addition to Garrett" ...... so I don't see how that means that he's still there.

They are having a second meeting today, which means he’s still there.

Garrett returned to the Cowboys' facility Tuesday morning and has a meeting planned with the Joneses in the afternoon, Slater reported.
so we have conflicting reports as of now, based on Jerrys history - I would say he probably let him go, or will be letting him go. Especially if the entire staff was fired already.

But we will see.
Actually it's interesting, because according to the article on NFL.com updated at 10:30 this morning says.
------------------------------------------------- The day began with player exit interviews and a team meeting followed, in which NFL Network's Jane Slater reported Garrett used phrases that suggested a permanent departure rather than a mere end to another season. Garrett later met with Cowboys owner Jerry Jones and vice president Stephen Jones for roughly an hour.
There were rumblings that the entire Dallas coaching staff had been fired, but Slater pointed toward Garrett's meeting with his staff -- in which he told them they were free to pursue openings elsewhere if their contracts were set to expire -- as a possible cause for confusion. No one has been fired at this time.
Garrett returned to the Cowboys' facility Tuesday morning and has a meeting planned with the Joneses in the afternoon, Slater reported.
Dallas finished 8-8 in 2019, a massive disappointment for a team with enough talent to make a playoff run. Questions have swirled around Garrett's job security for more than a month, with Monday anticipated as the day we might receive a resolution to the uncertainty. Center Travis Frederick reflected on his time playing under Garrett, saying he felt "very fortunate to have spent the time that I did with Coach Garrett."
"Whether he's here next year, or somewhere else next year, the group of men that he's going to be in front of will be better men and better players because of it," Frederick said.
A key detail from Garrett's meeting with his staff might help guide us on when to expect such a decision. Per Slater's report, Garrett told his coaches this situation would be sorted out in the next 24 to 48 hours.
As Slater said in her report, Garrett seems to know his fate and is attempting to give his staff a heads up before it becomes official. We'll continue to wait for the organization's final decision. ------------------------------------------------
Leads me to believe no one knows just yet. I suspect he and his staff will be gone, but it's not truly known.

We don't have to agree with each other, to respect each others opinion.
