I agree, that is unprofessional.

First, you don't interview people for coach while you still employ a coach.

Second, you don't interview for another coaching position if the team still employs a coach.

It's a matter of ethics and professional courtesy.

No one knows what jones told garrett in their meetings.

He could ha e told him he wanted to interview a few coached before resigning garrett.

You wanted to keep Freddie Kitchens.

LOL - The Rish will be upset with this news as well. KS just doesn't prioritize winning...

Me neither. He made the Bengals relevant for a number of years. No easy task.

We won the same number of playoff games during his tenure that the Bengals did.

Easy to say that, but how many times did they make the playoffs? How many times have we?

Living in the Wonderful World of Dallas fans, oh how I have fun with that move. Not to mention we play Dallas, in Dallas next season.

Marvin ain't happening in Dallas. Dallas want flash and personality. Hue might be outgoing but Marvin sure isn't.

If jones was smart, he won’t let McCarthy leave Dallas.

But this is jones. He might seriously mess around and decide to bring back Garrett.

The Cowboys situation certainly is strange lol

Cowboys officially informed Jason Garrett that he will not be returning as their head coach, as
@JayGlazer
reported. Cowboys’ HC search, which already has brought interviews with Marvin Lewis and Mike McCarthy, now continues on.

First to report that the Cowboys were moving on from Jason Garrett as their head coach was
@WerderEdESPN
, who did it Thursday. Now the move is official.

Then we should call him up and offer him the job.. NOW.

Dallas is the wild card. Garret did not need to be fired. His contract is up on the 14th. If we want McCarthy, sign McCarthy. Stop playing games and just do it.

Jason Garrett is still lobbying to be the the #Cowboys HC, per
@JayGlazer
. He still isn’t officially out. Meanwhile, Mike McCarthy’s interview with Dallas went so well that he’s still there today.

we will end up with Mcdaniels, and then again another hot coordinator that comes from a team that plays well regardless of who the coordinators are in a couple years after people realize that Mcdaniels was made by BB and Brady not the other way around

Marvin lewis is a decent coach, or at least he was, he was just never a great coach. He did have some good seasons with the Bengals, making them relevant at times, as said, no easy task. lol

McCarthy to Dallas seems like it’s happening based on him staying there?
