Odell is a very good player, and I want him on my team, but he is always causing some kind of distraction. I've never seen a more look at me guy than him.
RIP, Jim

I've never seen a more look at me guy than him. Remember TO working out shirtless in his driveway with the media interviewing him while trying to force a trade? Remember this past off-season with Antonio Brown? We have it easy with OBJ.

Yes, quite possibly.
The only thing I could imagine making this more of an issue is if it is compounded upon other things we aren't privy to that have caused people to look at OBJ as a problem. Clearly, there were issues with him on the field but we don't know to the degree it could have manifested in other ways in Berea during the week, or even before the season.
My point, if this is looked at in a vaccumm, then yes, I agree this is a pretty mild thing. If it is viewed as just another problem in less than one year trading for him, it might be another story.
The problem is, if is the latter, his value is rather low considering what we're paying him, how he performed in 2019, this recent issue, etc. Add his alleged injury along with past injuries, it makes it worse even.
Not sure of the significant return the Browns would get moving on from him, which is why I don't think we will.

If people wish to discuss someone being a snowflake, this cop is the perfect example of it. What a bunch of BS.
Intoducing for The Cleveland Browns, Quarterback Deshawn "The Predator" Watson. He will also be the one to choose your next head coach.

Please don't let this end with us trading OBJ away for nothing like the Raiders did with Randy Moss.

That's the funny part about all of this. It's the cop making something out of nothing here. But the fans go wild? And act like the cop isn't the one being stupid.

OBJ is a constant distraction. It'll be interesting to see how the new group in charge sees his future with the Browns. Personalities are welcomed; Production is required. p.s. None of this is a big deal... molehills out of anthills.

You just can't lay hands on a police officer. Its a really bad idea. I'm surprised he wasn't cuffed and taken away immediately. The fact that he wasn't indicates the officer didn't want to make a huge deal out of it.

Yeah, a cop having no sense of humor isn't anything new. He's being a snowflake.

Agreed.
I expect that OBJ will get on a plane, or his lawyer will send a few emails, and this will all go away. My bet is that this cop, and/or someone else in the process, is looking to set up claims for a civil suit to cash out on.
The entire thing is so minimal and petty as to be absurd that someone actually did the paperwork for it.

Pit , I don't see the need to call the Cop a name , or OBJ as far as that goes.. Maybe over the top reaction by the officer ? Don't know wasn't there , and don't know what his instructions are . " Clash of the Cultures " lol Maybe. Some of us where raised different than others. . Right , wrong ? Dave and I come from the same generation and even the same neighborhood .. You put your hands on a cop back in the day in our World you were toast.
Just saying !

Y'all can talk about how dumb it is all you want. I tend to agree that charges are rather "petty".
Bottom line - you don't put your hands on a police officer.

It’s not a big deal obviously, but it’s gonna garner attention as everything does with OBJ
"First down inside the 10. A score here will put us in the Super Bowl. Cooper is far to the left as Njoku settles into the slot. Moore is flanked out wide to the right. Chubb and Ford are split in the backfield as Watson takes the snap ... Here we go."

Just saying ! And that's fine. I came from a time and place where there was a difference in "putting your hands on a cop" and a little light hearted frivolity. There's a difference.

Because who would think a cop would get so bent out of shape over joke that didn't hurt anyone?

Does the New Orleans mayor really think this is going to be a good look for his police department? Arrest a guy for slapping someone on the butt in a locker room, isn't it expected in a locker room to get butts slapped?

It wouldn't surprise me if Roger Goodell isn't as anal as this cop.

I wish he could play for us but, at this point I would jump on an offer of a #1 pick from anyone ...

I thought the same as players slap butt all the time and he slapped the butt of a guard.
Then I saw the video and realized it was a Security Guard.
Oh dear.

There is no level of sucking we haven't seen; in fact, I'm pretty sure we hold the patents on a few levels of sucking NOBODY had seen until the past few years.

Oh dear. For clarification, it was a New Orleans police officer. Any towel snapping going on as well?
